| Sort of can't believe there are enough sales of DS games to justify a chart... |

| PSP Chart Last Week, This Week, Game - 1 FIGHT NIGHT ROUND 3 - 2 TEKKEN: DARK RESURRECTION 2 3 MONSTER HUNTER: FREEDOM UNITE - 4 ARMY OF TWO: THE 40TH DAY - 5 DISSIDIA 012: FINAL FANTASY 4 6 CRISIS CORE: FINAL FANTASY VII - 7 TOMB RAIDER: LEGEND - 8 NBA LIVE 08 - 9 NEED FOR SPEED UNDERGROUND: RIVALS - 10 ME & MY KATAMARI
That's a banger of a top 10 mind but I do find both it and DS being tracked still to be odd but I guess Argos, Amazon still sell some new games for those formats but Amazon still has new PS2 games.
I wonder how many actually sold and what the highest place game for both formats is in the individual format chart if it went past 40 all the way to what sold one copy.

| Loads of numbers yesterday from Nintendo and Sony.
Will start with Sony who have confirmed the PS4 has sold 67.5m units and is on track to shift 79m by the end of the fiscal year. It took the PS3, 7 years to hit 80m the PS4 will do that in 4 years 5 months.
Now on to Nintendo:
The Switch has sold 7.63m as of the end of September with Nintendo upping the forecast to 14m from 10m for end of fiscal year. This would mean the Switch will pass the Wii U lifetime sales in 12 months.
The 3DS has sold 2.86m so far this year of the planned 6m units, the current install-base is 68.98m
Mobile brought in $158 million, if you want to know.
We have some other stats about revenue but we have some interesting info as well like how people play the Switch and how old they are.
How Switch is used (Worldwide stats) 20% Play the Switch docked only / console only 30% Play the Switch undocked only / handheld only 50% Use the Switch as a hybrid
Who uses the Switch (USA only these numbers) 43% 25-34 years old 20% 19-24 years old 17% 35-44 years old 7% 16-18 years old 5% 13-15 years 5% 12 and under 3% 45 and over
86% Male, 11% Female, 3% Other
I think this means the avg Switch users is a 25-34 year old male and uses it as a hybrid, basically us lot then.
On Games over 1m Zelda 4.7m (Wii U version has done 1.16m) Mario Kart 4.42m (Did 8.38m on Wii U and is the best selling game on Wii U) Splatoon 3.61m (The first did 4.87m) Mario Odyssey 2m in Three Days (NewU did 5.73m, World did 5.7m and Land 11.4m) 12Switch 1.37m ARMS 1.35m
UK Chart AC: Origins is the UK number 1 but Mario is Number 1 on the individual format and is the biggest ever launch for a Switch title, comfortably beating ‘Zelda: Breath of the Wild’. Not only that, it is also considerably bigger than any Wii U title’s debut, recording Nintendo’s 6th biggest UK launch ever.
Just Dance 2018 sold best on Wii with 32%.

Good on Odyssey, too - 3D Mario hasn't always sold as well as its excellence warrants, so I'm delighted it's done so well. The Just Dance on Wii stat is a positive mind-boggler, though. |

| There are reports that Nintendo next year are planning to up Switch forecast from the 14m this year to 25-30m for April 2018 to March 2019 could go higher depending on who well it does this holiday season.
Some speculation is Nintendo has seen the stats showing how people use the Switch and that 3DS forecast will be lowered for next year (you'd this be the case anyway due the system being almost 8 years old come 2019. Still we could see Switch if these reports are right on an install-base of 39-44m after 2 years on the market, the PS4 the fastest selling PlayStation system took 2 & half years to get to 40m, you could argue due to the hybrid nature the Switch is the combined sells of what a Nintendo console and handheld would do.

| For me the price would need to go a bit lower before that prediction had a decent chance of coming true. That's a lot of systems. |

| I was going to added to it Zero
Some analysts reckon by March 2023 when the Switch is likely all over (it will be 6 years old) and if trends continue it could be on about 115.8m which compares to these:
3DS + Wii U = 80.4m will rise DS + Wii = 256.1m GBA + Cube = 103.25m PSP + PS3 = 167.7m VITA + PS4 = 83.2m will rise
Avg 138m, seems maybe Nintendo putting all there eggs in on basket will pay off for them as the Switch looks like it will be awfully close to what a console and a handheld does. |

| The Switch Tax is causing the UK economic pain, is it? Ruh roh. I'll be honest, I thought I'd find someone in here mentioning that the Switch has sold ten million units. Already. That feels like quite a lot to me. |

| That is a much better piece of financial gaming news and I can't believe I didn't think to mention it. Well on track to beat Wii U lifetime sales by the end of its first year! |

If they mean games at a store then they've not gone up and we've countless things say they do need to go up as they're too cheap compared to inflation. I might understand if they mean development as UK devs can get a Tax break, so maybe it is tied into that. |

| Someone 18 everyday and buys a PS4 or ONE everyday, if we get a Switch version that will keep it near the top for even longer and it's already the bestselling game of all-time, mainly down to online. |

| This week in the UK Monster Hunter World took top spot in the Top 10 All-Format1 Monster Hunter: World 2 Dragon Ball FighterZ 3 Call of Duty: WWII 4 FIFA 18 5 Grand Theft Auto V 6 Mario Kart 8 Deluxe 7 The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 8 PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds 9 Rocket League 10 The Inpatient MHW had the best first week ever for the series in the UK. DBFZ in second is the highest ever spot for the series but only matches Xenoverse though in terms of sales. The individual Top 10 it looks like this 1 Monster Hunter: World PS4 2 Monster Hunter: World Xbox One 3 Dragon Ball FighterZ PS4 4 FIFA 18 PS4 5 Call of Duty: WWII PS4 6 Mario Kart 8 Deluxe NS 7 Call of Duty: WWII Xbox One 8 The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild NS 9 PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Xbox One 10 Dragon Ball FighterZ Xbox One Some interesting facts the split between MNW was 70% PS4, 30% Xbox One which isn't that surprising it's the Xbox One version out sold DBFZ in 3rd on PS4 by some margin apparently. The split for DBFZ was 80% PS4, 20% Xbox One which is bigger then MHW split, which I'm surprised about as all the marking for DBFZ was for Xbox One, I was thinking more 60/40. The highest 3DS game was Pokemon Crystal in at number 13 (12 on all-format), no other format had anything in the top 40 but if you want to know them then it looks like this: Xbox 360 LEGO Star Wars Force Awakens PS3 LEGO Dimensions Wii U The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii Just Dance 2018 VITA Chaos;Child DS Guinness World Records PSP God of War: Ghost of Sparta PC The Sims 4 Keeping on the Monster Hunter World theme, Capcom has shipped 5,000,000 units and is out of stock on both Amazon UK & USA. |

| Triple Combo as we have Nintendo info
The Switch in 2017 sold 14.86m units which means the Switch has outsold the Wii U by 1.3m already and isn't even 12 months old and is only 6.88m behind the GameCube and the 21st best-selling system of all-time at the moment.
For games the million club on Switch looks like this (first party only though as I think M+R is over a million): 1.06m Xenoblade 2 1.61m ARMS 1.88m 1-2-Switch 4.91m Splatoon 2 6.70m Breath of the Wild 7.33m Mario Kart 8D (it sold 8.4m on Wii U as well) 9.07m Super Mario Odyssey
A total of 52.57m units of software has been sold which is a attach rate of 3.5 games.
The 3DS is now on 71.99m, that it is 10m behind the GBA which might be doable also 360.5m units of software has been sold which is attach rate of 5 games.
The only other fact is the PS4 sold 15m units in 12 months and at the time it was outpacing the PS2, the Switch is outpacing the PS4 and it's starting to outsell the Xbox One already in some regions like Spain.

| Does that mean my prediction of the 3DS having total lifetime sales of over 70 million by the end of 2017 was correct?! I think that makes three out of fifteen for last year. |

| The Switch has passed the Wii U in the UK and now sits on around 700k but isn't even close to the Wii or PS4 at this point in time (I think PS4 was the best-selling console again in 2017 in the UK as well). Switch has been doing well in other major European territories like Germany and France where it has been pointed out the Xbox One has a tiny market share (I think I read once in Germany Xbox was something like 3% with PlayStation having 90% and Nintendo the other 7%) that Nintendo is likely given more space compared to here in the UK.
