It's still the summer games drought! What's your favourite desert level in gaming? Its only a games drought for Nintendo-only admins :p My favourite desert level is "the whole of Afghanistan" from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
What game are you most looking forward to during the rest of the year? Starfox Zero to the absolute max. Cannot wait!
Devil's Third, eh? If the Devil granted you a one-third share of the ownership of something, what would you request? DC Comics. I'd work with the company for a while, firmly establish myself and make a fortune then I could finally fulfil the master plan I've dreamed of for years! (Becoming head writer of a soap like Eastenders then secretly introducing Batman as an undercover character).
The Premier League strikes back! What changes would you make to the next FIFA game? Let me put male and female teams in the same games. That would make me finally learn to be good at FIFA, just so I can wind up all my sexist football-loving mates.
Well done to all those who got the A-levels they wanted. What's your most memorable exam moment (if you haven't forcibly forgotten them all)? Pissing about making youtube videos, getting takeaways and locking friends in cupboards when I should have been revising for my GCSEs, going in and doing stupid things like taking in a one gallon bottle of water and a whole load of straws and making a big straw to my mate sat behind me and otherwise not taking my exams seriously... then getting all As and Bs anyway, like a right dickhead.
What is a fair price for one pint of milk? Considerably more than shops charge currently.

It's still the summer games drought! What's your favourite desert level in gaming? Spirit Temple from OoT. Or Kalimari Desert from MK64, the race to cross the track before the train gets there was always exhilarating. However my daily commute to work involves a level crossing and that course has had a bad effect on my thinking and approach to it.
What game are you most looking forward to during the rest of the year? I'm so desperate for new FIFA at the moment due to the new season having recently started. And Halo 5.
Devil's Third, eh? If the Devil granted you a one-third share of the ownership of something, what would you request? Google.
The Premier League strikes back! What changes would you make to the next FIFA game? - I'd love if they included the U21 teams and their. - Option for men's teams vs women's teams - The option to edit how many substitutes you can make and how many players you can have on the bench - Career mode to understand that during preseason friendlies your allowed and expected to make more than 3 substitutes - A mode where you can quickly create teams, picking from all the players, for multiplayer matches instead of having to slowly manually edit teams - All of Greece's top flight teams - Scottish Championship teams - Japan's national team - Ghana's national team - More violent conduct - sometimes I just want my player to punch an opposing player, or headbutt the goalie, elbow the linesman or dropkick the referee. Give me that option. - A dive button. Let me try to con the game like so many real life players do
Well done to all those who got the A-levels they wanted. What's your most memorable exam moment (if you haven't forcibly forgotten them all)? There was one exam I completely missed in Uni. I'd just completely forgot about it until the day after. So I made up a story about how my dog of 11 years had died the night before and I was so devastated about it I forgot all about the exam or letting anyone know. I don't think the excuse was needed because I was allowed to take it later when those who failed it got to re-sit it. But all the girls on my course fussed over me and offered me support during that difficult time.
Also during my Higher English exam I was failing so badly that I thought I'd try to use subliminal message tactics to brainwash the marker into giving me and A. After writing one of the worst essays put to paper I went through it and ever so slightly darkened certain letters through the text. The darkened letters, in order, would read "Give this essay a grade A". Thought I was being dead clever and it would subconsciously make the marker think my eassay was worth an A.
Needless to say it didn't work and I failed higher english and had to resit it the next year

It's still the summer games drought! What's your favourite desert level in gaming?
Dry Dry Desert off of MK8. "Nice track with lots to see and do" - Thomas Cook "Too much sand 7/10" - IGN
What game are you most looking forward to during the rest of the year?
Super Mario Maker is looming ever larger on the horizon and I'm literally on the edge of my seat with excitement- and have been since June.
Devil's Third, eh? If the Devil granted you a one-third share of the ownership of something, what would you request?
Something which didn't need much upkeep probably. I think that would have to be Scotland.
The Premier League strikes back! What changes would you make to the next FIFA game?
Change it into a strategy game where, before the match, you set pitfall traps throughout the pitch. Then when the game begins there are two forms of victory: either A) You have scored more goals than the opponents by the final whistle or B) The enemy team has lost 4 men to the pitfall traps, at which time the game automatically ends. Strategies which involve luring the opponents into traps will be actively encouraged by giving the player the chance to view and edit replays of match deaths, by way of sound effects and things. These replays can then be shared on Youtube.
Well done to all those who got the A-levels they wanted. What's your most memorable exam moment (if you haven't forcibly forgotten them all)? I've done lots of weird and quite possibly illegal things in school- but never during exams, too busy napping.

| Weird: The Hat game
Goal: Go as long as possible without taking off your hat (not even if staff tell you to)
This game was actually invented by some pupils in a few years above us and it trickled down to us. How they came up with it we never found out but basically there would be three or four of us and we'd decide on a day to show up to school wearing a hat of our choosing and we would then just go about our day as usual- but never taking off our hats. Interestingly, the most frequent method of unhatting wasn't teachers badgering us but other students taking our hats. Nobody ever managed to finish a whole hat day.
Possibly Illegal: Oh, so that goes there...
possible crime: making a PC tower catch on fire
So my friend (who we'll call Brendan, for the sake of absolute anonymity) and I were fucking about with computers during class when all of a sudden my monitor went black. Brendan suggested a cable had come loose, so I pulled out the tower from it's slot with one hand (mistake) and dropped it on the floor. It was, you must understand, not a big drop at about 5 inches but it did get some people's attention. Teacher was still talking though so I put it back and Brendan and I decided to pay attention for a bit. After a minute or two we noticed a burny smell and realised the computer was quietly smoking behind us, we both ignored it and shortly after class ended and we got up to leave. We exchanged looks with our classmates as the computer's plight became known, of course nobody told the teacher who was probably still talking. We all left. Next day we heard rumours (later verified) of a first year who had ICT just after us who got internally suspended for... breaking a computer and causing a fire hazard. And yes, it was definitely the one Brendan and I broke.
Ah, the good old days...

BUSY MAKING MARIO'S WILLY OUT OF PIRANHA PLANTS Patrick "Balladeer" Kielty- Spoiler:
The Summer Games Drought ends with Super Mario Maker. But what sort of Mario level would you like to create that SMM doesn't allow?A version of the Chai Kingdom from the original Super Mario Land - in 3D, SM64 style. Search among the bamboo for stars, then take to the skies in Sky Pop for the sixth one! Pokémon Go, coming to a smartphone near you! What Pokémon would live in your house?I've just bought a new flat, but the bathroom needs some serious work. So, although I have a Victini and a Mega-Absol in my parents' house, in my own it's Grimer, Surskit, and Gastly. Pikmin 4's in development, it was revealed this month. What new Pikmin breed would you like to see?Rainbow Pikmin. Capable of seducing enemies of the same gender: then a robot unicorn charges in and destroys them while they're stunned, to the sounds of Erasure. Counting Classics on Consoles ends this month, for Nintendo consoles at least. What's your definition of a classic game?Much onus on me to develop a good definition after all my questioning over the month; but the truth is, I have no objective definition, and much is gut feel. Is the game loved by players? By critics? Did it make either go "wow", as opposed to merely contenting? Did it give something new to the genre, to the industry? Is it remembered now, and will it continue to be remembered in future? These are the criteria I consider, but it's certainly much more than whether a game was merely good either now or at the time (although the latter is definitely a criterion the game must fulfil before the others come into play). The Egg-Chasing World Cup kicked off this month. What should the egg hatch into in the closing ceremony?Thousands of hand-sized black spiders. Jeremy Corbyn is the new leader of the Labour Party! What item from the Zelda series would most help him on his quest to become Prime Minister? The Power Bracelets from Wind Waker, allowing him to pick up and throw large pigs. Simon "ZeroJones" Ball- Spoiler:
The Summer Games Drought ends with Super Mario Maker. But what sort of Mario level would you like to create that SMM doesn't allow? The genuine answer is 'one with the proper power-up progression'. You can place mushrooms and fire flowers in SMB levels but the flower won't become a mushroom if the player has been hit in the meantime. Giving that complaint a to emphasise it would be a bit harsh, though, as Nintendo really have given us the keys to the toy cupboard with SMM. Pokémon Go, coming to a smartphone near you! What Pokémon would live in your house?A Jigglypuff, because there's got to be a reason that I get so tired so suddenly... Pikmin 4's in development, it was revealed this month. What new Pikmin breed would you like to see?A brown Pikmin, who can tunnel through the soil. Counting Classics on Consoles ends this month, for Nintendo consoles at least. What's your definition of a classic game?Oooft! Drunka's one of 'a game I would recommend to anyone picking up the system new' is more or less the one I use. The Egg-Chasing World Cup kicked off this month. What should the egg hatch into in the closing ceremony?Togepi, who then randomly uses Earthquake. Jeremy Corbyn is the new leader of the Labour Party! What item from the Zelda series would most help him on his quest to become Prime Minister? The Lens of Truth, so that he might best be able to expose the Conservative Party's deceit (and find out who really supports him in his own camp, too).

The Summer Games Drought ends with Super Mario Maker. But what sort of Mario level would you like to create that SMM doesn't allowWhat Summer Games Drought, I was playing MGSV for 60hrs. Not really sure on the actual question as I've not played much of SMM and not being 2D Mario fan but maybe let me have a Yoshi Island art-style or loops to make a Sonic level Pokémon Go, coming to a smartphone near you! What Pokémon would live in your house?I've got a huge garden that something like Bulbasaur will live there Pikmin 4's in development, it was revealed this month. What new Pikmin breed would you like to see? That Brown one is a good idea from Zero, I guess what the add to the game that will need a Pikmin to solve the puzzle Counting Classics on Consoles ends this month, for Nintendo consoles at least. What's your definition of a classic game?Lot's of things as at the moment things like Pong would I really recommend someone go play it, No but it's a classic still for history reasons but something like the Mega Drive if someone that was a SNES person what would I recommend and go this is a classic. The Egg-Chasing World Cup kicked off this month. What should the egg hatch into in the closing ceremony?Cream Egg spills out Jeremy Corbyn is the new leader of the Labour Party! What item from the Zelda series would most help him on his quest to become Prime Minister? Well this is difficult as I wouldn't want him as PM that I don't really care.

Great games have been coming out all summer and now there is also Super Mario Maker. But what sort of Mario level would you like to create that SMM doesn't allow? Boss fights! It would probably be a bit over-complicated for the game they've made, but I'd like to be able to create bigger enemies, with attack patterns and weaknesses and so on. Failing that, switching gravity a la the 2D bits in SMG2.
Pokémon Go, coming to a smartphone near you! What Pokémon would live in your house? Meowth, who is presumably stealing all my cash and rendering me skint.
Pikmin 4's in development, it was revealed this month. What new Pikmin breed would you like to see? Metal pikmin. Weak but invulnerable, so I can just leave them to it with minor tasks I don't want to micro-manage.
Counting Classics on Consoles ends this month, for Nintendo consoles at least. What's your definition of a classic game? I like games.
The Egg-Chasing World Cup kicked off this month. What should the egg hatch into in the closing ceremony? Velociraptor, natch.
Jeremy Corbyn is the new leader of the Labour Party! What item from the Zelda series would most help him on his quest to become Prime Minister? Fire flower, so he can incinerate lie-packed newspapers.

Great games have been coming out all summer and now there is also Super Mario Maker. But what sort of Mario level would you like to create that SMM doesn't allow?
A first person shooter level, complete with explosions whenever Mario lobs a Fire Flower.
Pokémon Go, coming to a smartphone near you! What Pokémon would live in your house?
Snorlax. Big and sleeps a lot, just like me!
Pikmin 4's in development, it was revealed this month. What new Pikmin breed would you like to see?
A Pikmin with a human head atop its little body. Imagine plucking that one! Brrr.
Counting Classics on Consoles ends this month, for Nintendo consoles at least. What's your definition of a classic game?
It's got to be amazing, it's got to be remembered well, and it's got to stand above the majority of other games on the platform it's on.
The Egg-Chasing World Cup kicked off this month. What should the egg hatch into in the closing ceremony?
The Wind Fish. Then it turns out the past 13.8 billion years of existence was nothing but a dream.
Jeremy Corbyn is the new leader of the Labour Party! What item from the Zelda series would most help him on his quest to become Prime Minister?
Light Arrow, so he can pierce the black heart of David Cameron's curiously pig-shaped bodyguard.

You can do boss fights in SMM, though it isn't nearly as detailed as you said above but I've still seen some clever levels built around a boss battle. |

Ones based on and in the style of SMB2 and the gameboy Mario Land games.
Pokémon Go, coming to a smartphone near you! What Pokémon would live in your house?
Who's that chap that's sometimes a fridge. He could be useful I guess. Or Zapdos and Moltres. They can supply my leccy and heating, I'll save a fortune.
Pikmin 4's in development, it was revealed this month. What new Pikmin breed would you like to see?
The opposite to Jay's suggestion. Normal Pikmin heads on human bodies. Ripped muscular speedo wearing human bodies.
Counting Classics on Consoles ends this month, for Nintendo consoles at least. What's your definition of a classic game?
Must fall under one of the following categories:
- An outstanding and fun game - Something that has defined the genre or the first to introduce/perfect something that games that follow all use - Something unique, different or offering something new - Something I played when I was young or while drunk
The Egg-Chasing World Cup kicked off this month. What should the egg hatch into in the closing ceremony?
Dragons

Zigzagoon and we would enjoy many adventures together and life would be good.

I don't even know the current Pikmin. Is there a pink Pikmin? If not one of those. Or neon blue. Yeah, neon blue pikmin.

The Wind Fish (Link's Awakening yo)
