Satoru Iwata was a very important man with a sense of humour. Which other person in the public eye should lighten up?
Andy Murray. Poor lad always looks like he got thumped in straight sets after every match.
It's the summer games drought! What's in your backlog to work through?
Well, I've rattled through Arkham Knight in the past few days, so I intend to try and platinum that first. Next... it might be time for me to dive into the Metal Gear Solid series.
Yoshi's Woolly World isn't bad! But what sort of game should Yoshi star in next?
First-person shooter, complete with horrifying first-person eating scenes. Troublesome enemy? Grab him with your tongue and smile as he screams in horror being encased in an egg.
SONM and GNamer make a fine pair. Who is your favourite double act?
It's got to be the dynamic duo, Mario and Luigi!
Andy Murray crashes out of Wimbledon again. Who do you wish Britain could enter instead?
General Grevious. The git was useless in Star Wars - might as well use those arms for something.
A batsman should never be bowled out; they should at least go for an LBW. Discuss.
Mas took my answer, and I know next to nothing about cricket... so, um... pass.

Satoru Iwata was a very important man with a sense of humour. Which other person in the public eye should lighten up?
Jeremy Kyle, that prick always be going off on one (allegedly, I don't watch the show), chill man.
It's the summer games drought! What's in your backlog to work through? I've got about 15 years worth of gaming backlog. I ain't ever working through that. Playing Assassin's Creed: The Piratey One currently (Games With Gold) which was on my 'To play list' for ages. It's fun but just makes me want a new, far larger scale, Wind Waker.
Yoshi's Woolly World isn't bad! But what sort of game should Yoshi star in next? Balla gave the best answer already. If not that then a gritty survival horror game. Yoshident Evil.
SONM and GNamer make a fine pair. Who is your favourite double act?
Flight of the Conchords
Andy Murray crashes out of Wimbledon again. Who do you wish Britain could enter instead?
Tim Henman
A batsman should never be bowled out; they should at least go for an LBW. Discuss. No. Cricket would be better if the batsman was replaced with the Batman. And no cricket was played. Discuss

Where do you plan to start with MGS or with Snake Eater which is the first in the timeline |

| Probably with MGS, to be honest. I think I'm going to play them in the order that they were released. I've got the main four, Peace Walker and Ground Zeroes to tuck into. |

I think I'm going to go MGS -> MGS2 -> MGS3 -> MGS4 -> Peace Walker -> Ground Zeroes - as they were released, basically! |

| Nah, not too fussed about those. I would have played them had I bought the MGS Legacy collection, but I've only got the bog standard HD collection. |

| Definitely play the MGS games in release order, not chronological order.
MGS1 and MGS3 are the two most standalone games though - you could definitely play MGS3 with no prior MGS knowledge. (It's also the best game in the series, so there's that.) |

| Madsofdas, as usual. I hope you do get stuck in, Jay, will be nice to re-live the games vicariously through you. But I'll save that for the appropriate thread... - Spoiler:
Satoru Iwata was a very important man with a sense of humour. Which other person in the public eye should lighten up? David Cameron. But by "lighten up" I mean "douse himself in petrol and light a match".
It's the summer games drought! What's in your backlog to work through? "Games drought" indeed- I've just started Batman, I've Scholar of the First Sin to play, Rare Replay coming in the post and MGSV coming very, very soon!
Yoshi's Woolly World isn't bad! But what sort of game should Yoshi star in next? He should know his place and go back to being Mario's steed.
SONM and GNamer make a fine pair. Who is your favourite double act? Matthew Castle and Gav Murphy on the old ONM podcast. They're great on Regular Features and Rotating Platform respectively, but listening to Gav wind Matthew up and bring out the absolute weirdest nonsense in Matthew was always a laugh riot.
Andy Murray crashes out of Wimbledon again. Who do you wish Britain could enter instead? James Bond. Pulls out his silenced pistol while the umpire's not looking, pow, pow, fuck your tennis, shags the ball girl.
A batsman should never be bowled out; they should at least go for an LBW. Discuss. I wouldn't dream of telling the Batman what to do, but rest assured that even when it looks like he's been bowled out he has a plan or at least a trick on his utility belt to turn things around.

| Another month, another set of questions. No cricket ones this time, promise. Stu "the Great" Jones- Spoiler:
BUSY HAVING HIS TORSO TATTOOED AND LEARNING A RUSSIAN ACCENT Patrick "Balladeer" Kielty- Spoiler:
It's still the summer games drought! What's your favourite desert level in gaming?Desert levels are usually fairly rubbish, aren't they? Either Shifting Sand Land for the pyramid, or Gobi's Valley for the music. What game are you most looking forward to during the rest of the year? Xenoblade Chronicles X by a county mile. My robot-body is ready! Devil's Third, eh? If the Devil granted you a one-third share of the ownership of something, what would you request? The Internet. Knowing the Devil, it'd probably be the third with 4chan in it. The Premier League strikes back! What changes would you make to the next FIFA game?Make it a turn-based RPG. Starring cricketers. Well done to all those who got the A-levels they wanted. What's your most memorable exam moment (if you haven't forcibly forgotten them all)?Starting my finals examS, either a morning or two mornings after a really really vile bug. I won't make it too graphic, but let's just say I had to make a judgement call as to which end to position over the toilet. (After all that, I only used five of my fifteen minutes of toilet time.) What is a fair price for one pint of milk? One rendition of Epona's Song. Simon "ZeroJones" Ball- Spoiler:
It's still the summer games drought! What's your favourite desert level in gaming?Super Mario Bros. 3's Level 2-Quicksand, as it's described here. Even after you've figured out how to get past the hurricane, the very sun itself descends from the heavens and tries to bash you up! What game are you most looking forward to during the rest of the year? Super Mario Maker. It is going to be immense - and that even if 99% of the user-generated levels are like pigeon-generated mess. Devil's Third, eh? If the Devil granted you a one-third share of the ownership of something, what would you request? The gross profit on amiibi. Then I would sit back. The Premier League strikes back! What changes would you make to the next FIFA game?Get a bit of RoboCup on the go. Well done to all those who got the A-levels they wanted. What's your most memorable exam moment (if you haven't forcibly forgotten them all)? The pre-match rituals: listening to Song For Lindy by Fatboy Slim before leaving my room, walking for about half an hour and just remembering the song, and trying to make sure I got seat 41 in the exam hall (not always possible). What is a fair price for one pint of milk?85 Gald.

It's still the summer games drought! What's your favourite desert level in gaming?I actually had a lot of fun with Gerudo Desert in Twilight Princess. Battling my way through the fortress at the end was a blast. What game are you most looking forward to during the rest of the year? It's a toss up between Persona 5 and Fallout 4. Hooray, RPG sequels! Devil's Third, eh? If the Devil granted you a one-third share of the ownership of something, what would you request?One-third of his birthday cake. Then I'd throw it in the bin and make the Devil cry. Although he might not cry, so I guess I'll say that the Devil may cry if I throw away his birthday cake. ...fuck me, that was contrived. The Premier League strikes back! What changes would you make to the next FIFA game?Every player is Emile Heskey. Only Heskey. Well done to all those who got the A-levels they wanted. What's your most memorable exam moment (if you haven't forcibly forgotten them all)?Unfortunately, I've no real exam memories. They've all merged together into one forgettable, amorphous mass now. What is a fair price for one pint of milk?One-third of the Devil's birthday cake. He'll be upset about it. Devil lait cry.

| I'm gonna have a nibble on this - Spoiler:
It's still the summer games drought! What's your favourite desert level in gaming? Generally hate desert levels as they're full of quicksand and cacti, but I enjoyed Resident Evil 5 and most of that is in the desert.
What game are you most looking forward to during the rest of the year? Fallout 4 although I don't have a system to play it on. Yet. Otherwise, I'm anticipating the new PES as the demo is absolutely fantastic, and I'm intrigued what the new WWE game is going to be like, considering they are promoting it with Stone Cold Steve Austin, who hasn't wrestled in over ten years.
Devil's Third, eh? If the Devil granted you a one-third share of the ownership of something, what would you request?
I'd request a third of [insert large banking corporation]'s profits and filter them in to the creation of a new Nintendo magazine. And Shenmue 3 funding, natch.
The Premier League strikes back! What changes would you make to the next FIFA game? I'd implement the game engine of PES 2016 in, and have the best of both worlds.
Well done to all those who got the A-levels they wanted. What's your most memorable exam moment (if you haven't forcibly forgotten them all)? Knowing I had already failed my Psychology AS Level, and putting "Jones (2004) discovered that psychology was a waste of his time" for most of the answers.
What is a fair price for one pint of milk? I'd say it's worth 7 pounds.

| - Spoiler:
It's still the summer games drought! What's your favourite desert level in gaming? What game drought, I've bought like a dozen games in the last 2 weeks which have come out. But answer the question with a game not a level, Red Dead Redemption
What game are you most looking forward to during the rest of the year? Well MGSV: The Phantom Pain is out, that is a hard one as No Man's Sky is still dated as 2015 and Persona 5 is still coming 2015 for Japan and North America that I'm going for Star Wars Battlefront
Devil's Third, eh? If the Devil granted you a one-third share of the ownership of something, what would you request? Man City
The Premier League strikes back! What changes would you make to the next FIFA game? Women's Leagues, so I can beat everyone with both Man City senior teams
Well done to all those who got the A-levels they wanted. What's your most memorable exam moment (if you haven't forcibly forgotten them all)? I've never really took any unless you count things like the food safety course for the CO-OP where was I the first perosn to get full marks and point out the mistake on the exam paper.
What is a fair price for one pint of milk? MB Coins

| Good to see another GNamer joining in, Mr. Jones (the other one)! And that's a splendid use of corporation profits. You could make Shenmue 3 not be the massive disappointment it's in serious danger of being. - JayMoyles wrote:

Amen to this! That sun was the reason I gave up on SMB3. Utter tripe of a level. - JayMoyles wrote:
