| Well, Mario Tennis Open - but I concede your point. We shall wait and see... Also I'm so chuffed with this thread title every time I see it. One of my greatest contributions to the forum, I feel! |

| I'll be blunt, the dlc, especially the first pack, sounds like a load of absolute rubbish cheapskate nonsense that should by all rights be included in the game at launch. And absolutely nothing short of the higher difficulty adding in new AI patterns and enemy attacks will change that fact. It positively reeks of the ugly practises normalised by the Microsoft era, practices I never thought I'd see in a premier Nintendo title.
As for the second pack, I'll wait until we know how substantial that new content actually is. Twenty dollars US (for I saw the us info release, no idea what they're charging in England) is a third of a full game's price, so it had better be on the meaty side of things. Either way I'm neutral for the time being until they drop some deets on that one.
That first pack though? That one genuinely smells like Wario's breath first thing in the morning. |

| The packs aren't available separately so I don't think its fair to treat them as separate DLC packs. It's £20 for an extra story/dungeon and some other extras by my read |

| I'm guessing spoilers are irrelevant by now? - anyway:
Anyway, I think it's cool. They day-oneness, in this instance, I'm not too concerned about. The modern dev cycle of big releases tends towards post-game launch additional content anyway, so announcing DLC now is like, whatever, and it looks like Zelda won't feel like it is missing anything. As long as it feels like a full game at launch, then any extra content will feel like the PC expansion packs of old. I dislike day one stuff segregating content, that's for true, but the non dlc pack stuff looks like tat fortunately.
The main issue I have with the season pass is that I don't really know what's coming. I mean, stuff like hard mode, simples, but how extensive will the dungeon be? I'uh'no. That's why I'm happy to pass on it, until pack 2 is out. Knowing Ninners, it'll be worth the, looks like £15ish, it'll cost, but I want to wait until it's out, or they spill the beans about the juicy bits, before making that judgement.

| How do we know you can't buy DLC Pack 1 & 2 on their own, we know if you buy the £17.99 (didn't anyone read that) Expansion Pass you get those two packs and a bonus expansion pass pack.
To me that sounds like if you buy them all together you get the bonus pack and possibly a saving as well. |

Ten quid for hard mode and an enemy survival arena is still taking the mickey. Especially when previous Zelda "hard modes" were the equivalent of doing a 3 heart run with health healing restrictions. |

To me that sounds like if you buy them all together you get the bonus pack and possibly a saving as well. This expansion pass will be $20 and come with two DLC packs. One will add a hard mode and a Cave of Trials (like Twilight Princess) while the other will add “a new dungeon and a new original story.” The whole package will also let Link wear a shirt with a Switch logo on it, for some reason. And you can’t purchase any of these packs individually, Nintendo says. It’s either $20 or nothing.' Kotaku |

| That I didn't know Muss, just seemed how they worded it with a bonus for buying it, that's normally soemthign you get when buy all together and not on their own.
For £17.99, I will get even if it's a 2-3hr story in the DLC.

I'm hoping for more of a Master Quest style hard mode with this - surely they'll do a bit more than just a double damage mode? |

No reason to split it evenly at £10 each - it's all one package, and I'd put the value in the second DLC pack by the looks of things. |

| I've just watched NVC and had the guide writer on and he talked - Spoiler:
It has a Ubisoft games elements, that you have to climb towers which open up the map and shows locations of stuff. I know this was brought up about Horizon and was something that seemed to put Jay off with the climbing the robosaurs to open up the map and show locations of stuff.
The game seems to be getting glowing reviews like 10/10 from EDGE with the only issue being the Wii U version framerate dropping to tens and Metro saying it could possibly the best game ever made but didn't know some may feel about the Ubisoft map stuff, if you've seen it and done it in 57 Assassins Creeds and Far Crys?
They also thought on NVC that Zelda could be pushing the system already to its limits.

| The IGN UK podcast made the point that in previous games, we'd get a hard mode as an unlockable without having to shell out an extra penny. While I personally couldn't care less for said hard mode unless it's a Master Quest-type affair (and probably not even then, apparently the MQ mucked with some impeccable dungeon design horribly), this is a fair point. |

| I've not played BotW and how many people have finished it that have got it? as the DLC says NEW Hard Mode, I think it depends on how you look at NEW, I'm hoping it's a actual NEW Hard Mode like a Master Quest but it very well may just be you finish the game and you get nothing but hey down the line you'll get a new hard mode.
I'm hoping as it's Nintendo it is Master Quest like. |

Have you not played it? It doesn't "muck" with the dungeon design so much as completely change them. Mostly you end up with worse designed dungeons than the game proper but that's not really the point - they are /new/ dungeons that offer something completely different. The MQ would be largely pointless if it kept the same dungeons. Also jabu jabu being full of cows is amazing |

| Hm, I'd heard (no I've not played it) that the dungeons suffered somewhat from being constrained to the same room layout as the originals, with many rooms just being filled with slightly disappointing rupees. If this hard mode is shaking things up in the same way (I hope so, as a minimum, otherwise it should be in the game proper), I hope they don't feel constrained to that.
Although I will agree that any dungeon with cow switches in is genius. |

| From what I've seen of the game initially I reckon a hard mode could add a lot to the game, it already feels like it there's a lot of survival elements in there so ramping up the difficulty could completely change up your approach to the game. |

| I've read and watched so many reviews I'm really regretting my decision to hold off on getting it at launch, I'll still have a chance to play it sure but the wait will kill me. |

| Is it reported to hold up well on the Wii U too? It'll probably be a looooong time before I can afford a Switch so I am hoping to get the Wii U version soon, but am wary if it's technically shonky. |

| EDGE who gave the game a 10/10 said the Wii U version suffers with framerate issues and it can drop below 20. |
