- Probably my favourite announcement of the Nintendo conference this year. Looked just like the GameCube original, and with the promise that there'll be more mansions this time round, this should be one of the best games of 2011. Nice one.
That's what I said on the NGamer Forums back on June 7th 2011. Bloody hell, how long does it take to develop a Luigi's Mansion game? I could port a version of Tetris over to the Wii U quicker than this! Anyhoo, besides New Leaf, this is my most anticipated 3DS title. I'll not be the only one with that frame of mind, right? |

Forget New Leaf: up until recently this was my most anticipated title! Then Pokémon X/Y were announced, but still. Given the development time, I'm expecting something longer and more satisfying than the original, and will be and if that's not the case.

- Goku smiley Ha But yeah the only reason I'm excited by this is that it's not really that far away but when it's out it may have to contend with a couple of other games

Hopefully Next Level games won't disappoint (they certainly didn't with Punch-Out!), I'm really quite looking forward to this, and as usual Nintendo keeping quiet about the core game will only make it more exciting to play through on release.

I'm extremely excited about this one, and the lack of information somehow only increases that excitement. Couple this with reports of the framerate being fixed, and we should have ourselves a winner.

Hopefully this will have a better feel to it than the original did. Can't really explain it, but something about how it played never felt right to me.

I was all ready to whip out my Sceptigust 5000, but it actually looks quite fun. I'm not sure who I feel sorrier for, though: the player who gets lumbered with pink Luigi or brown Luigi.

I stopped reading a little way in to keep the finer details a mystery. Happy about this, as it might reach a much larger audience than the original game did, assuming Nintendo chooses to market it adequately.

European boxart has been confirmed, almost identical to the US one which we discussed on the old forum. Thoughts (again)? Still no confirmed release date, I'd guess it'll be out on the 22nd of March, which falls right between the Japanese launch (20th March) and the US one (24th March).

I still don't like it. In other news, multiplayer mode, yay! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6apQS6rtFW4 Looks like it could be a laugh, not for long but it'll do.

There seems to be more colours than just 4 as I noticed in a video there was a white Luigi & Orange, other characters to play as would've been nice though like Professor E Gaad. |

The box art highlights a key feature of the game: Luigi's face. In that respect, I think it's doing a good job!

That Boo still looks like it's wandered into the mansion by accident, if you ask me (and maybe it has!). They've got Luigi's expression absolutely spot on, though.

Oh yes, didn't notice that. Hm. In retrospect, "Dark Moon" does sound a bit like they asked an emo twelve-year-old to come up with a subtitle, but just "2" is a bit rubbish. |

Dark Moon sounded like it should be a book or film in the Twilight series, glad its gone. I suppose '2' is lazy, but I prefer it.

I don't mind the 2 so much. If they were going to go down the subtitle route, I'm guessing 'Dark Moon' didn't really reflect anything major about the game.

The dark moon subtitle made sense though as you are collecting shards of a broken moon to put the ghosts to rest.
