Nintendo NX -> Nintendo Switch (Switchcraft)

I'm scheduled to be delivering a school talk to over 150 third years that morning, but - bugger it - clanging and banging.

This is typical Nintendo fashion but will try to get up to watch it / stay up depending on what ever is easier.

I would argue that it's not typical Nintendo to schedule something this badly. Heck, we normally have region-specific presentations at semi-convenient times.

I'm not surprised by the time at all, their main market is Japan and for them it's in a 1pm slot.

In other Switch news I got an email where I could enter a competition to play the NS in January in London.

Zero's right, though - they do usually schedule in convenient times for the US and UK, presumably as well as Japan.  This is a bit strange. But I'm sure the new marketing-savvy Nintendo know what they're doing.

And I read about that competition thing (I didn't get the e-mail ) - d'you know, I don't think I'd go even if I won?  I want my first experience of Switchdom to be on launch day, in my own house, with Hype Mode fully Activated. Not rushed into playing it at an event.

Yeah in Japan when they put a Monster Hunter on Switch, then it will sale like hot cakes.

Also got the email which is meant to be similar to the Ambassador New 3DS, Ibbster rage will be starting.

I see what you mean but I was at a similar event for 3ds & it didn't make me any less excited when I picked mine up on launch day.

I'm with Jas - a little taste would whet the appetite beautifully. I played a bit of Pilotwings Resort in the local GAME before the old 3DS landed, and it made me want one more. Horses for courses, naturally, and I can totally see why getting Switch-y with it for the first time might be better at home.

Oh, and, I didn't get an e-mail.

I don't know if I received an email but I saw this on facebook and entered. I'm sure it'd be fun, plus you get to take someone and that could be a great day out.
