EP 4: And Your GOTY For 2013 is... Temple Run 2!

Episode Four is up on the site!

Couple of quick editors notes - I botched editing in the outro to the podcast. It doesn't sound horrific, but it does play over a bit of the close of the podcast. Also, I fixed the issue with Mas coming out of one earbud! Surprisingly easy to do, so I'll do that for the podcasts from here on out.

I know! I was editing the podcast as I was listening to it, and I'd sorted the Mas audio issue not long before you made that joke.

Enjoyed the podcast, sirs! The GNamer Podcast is quickly becoming the "let's wind Mas up about his gaming opinions" hour, isn't it? Although, with such comments as "Okami is better than Zelda", it might be deserved.

Its just so easy, I can't resist! I will say, I feel like with Mas and Andy in particular, we're getting over the initial nervousness and actually have a half-decent chemistry now. Give it a few more months and this might be something worth listening to even for non-nutcases!

Yeah, I think it'll come on leaps and bounds as we all improve at speaking without stumbling over our words. Personally, based on the one episode I was on, I found it fairly easy to chat to you lot, considering I've been chatting with folks here for a minimum of two years, with some for even longer (I think Balla was one of the first I can remember talking to back on NGamer, when I signed up in '07).

I didn't say better, I said up there with Zelda's.

Yeah does seem to flow better now, hopefully the E3 cast's should be all good.

I listened to the first episode a while back and wasn't impressed, however having just listened to the fourth episode, I really enjoyed it!

The Halo 4 BETA bit made me laugh out loud, although the derisory remarks towards Bioshock Infinite took me by surprise. It also showed how little I play of (or keep up with) new games, particularly multi-format.

Yeah I think we've now got more used to doing them and we have improved.

Me, Mas and Andy have all done it a few times now so we're getting more natural and comfortable. It won't be long before this is something I'm willing to let people I know irl listen to!

I know a few people that aren't GNamericans that listen to it, I think are E3 coverage might be good as we have a subject we all know and we all likely been on before.

Just finished listening and it was fun. Dare I suggest that it seems to have worked much better with three people instead of four?

Hmm that might be it, we were thinking it was because we have all done it a few times.

Be interesting what the E3 ones turn out like then.

I definitely think it was about the experience. I think between the extra practice of the 2 hosts and the fact I'm a very regular skyper and have actually had some proper chats with the guys it was a lot more comfortable, which is a big thing for me at least. I don't think having a 4th would've been an issue.

Don't get me wrong: you obviously have a great rapport and that's shone through in the recording. I just feel that sometimes more people doesn't necessarily make for a better result.

For my money, when I listen to a podcast three is the magic number. Apart from when you have duos like the Bitsocket boys where they're like a single entity, and pretty much count as one individual.

Or us Drunka, the greatest duo in gaming podcasts.

I think 3 is definitely the most common number, but Chat Very Good is one of my faves and they nomally have 3. I do see everyone's points about 3, I just don't think it's all that important.

Most gaming podcasts I listen to have three or four on at a time. Either works - more would muddy the waters, I reckon.
