| Like Drunka points out I could do SEGA but is there a point of a GameGear week for instance and if we do that what happens to PC, Jaguar etc and the PS3 & 360 has a lot of crossover as well.
That my plan is to do years but not 1991 then 1992 as we could be here for ever that it would be in blocks covering almost each generation and any handheld or PC games released then.
Basically classics over these five years what we're they, so similar length of time of a console generation and let's say I put forward Red Dead Redemption it doesn't matter what I played it on just if it's a classic yay or nay. |

| Would years work as well? I could name you my favourite Xbox 360 games, but have no idea what the best games of 2008 were without scouring Metacritic |

| Not each year the last week which 360 would come under is 2005-2013 then vote for which you think is a classic a game that came out in that period eg Red Dead Redemption which I played on 360, you maybe PS3 and Jay PC but doesn't matter which format just is it a classic yay or nay.
It might sound a bit confusing but only way I can think of that will cover all consoles, handhelds, pc, mobile and arcade with no I played on this so it's a 360 classic for instance. |

| From the year of the very first video game and it run up to about the time of the master system launch.
It sounds a huge window but I think due to our avg age only the most obvious like Pong will be put forward. |

Me! Me! It's the best Lego game I've played, to the extent that it's ruined the others for me. I'd vote it as a classic on that basis.

| What game worth mentioning was made in 1947?! (Just looked it up. How could I forget the Cathode Ray Tube Amusement device?) Asteroids: Yep, still fun to play. Centipede: I think this is gash, but it's probably a classic in many eyes. I'll abstain. Pong: Yep, natch. Space Invaders: Also yep, natch. Ms. Pac-Man: I mean, yeah, but surely the original should be mentioned first? So, in that case... I'll put forward Pac-Man, Super Breakout, and Missile Command. |

I'm not that old! *looks at Birthdays topic* Oh. Asteroids - Yes Centipede - No - I think it doesn' hold up like the other golden oldies Pong - Yes Space Invaders - Yes Ms. Pac-Man - Yes Pac-Man - Yes Super Breakout - Abstain, because I suck at it, but I think it sucks, so... diplomacy Missile Command - No - I don't like it Moon Patrol - What's that? *watches video* Oh, Spaceman Sid! NO. Though the bobbly wheels are brilliant for the time. Defender - No. It's a great idea with a terrible control scheme. Terrible. Donkey Kong - YES (although I assume this doesn't count because Nintendo already - even though the arcade version was different) Outrun - Yes Hang On - Abstain More old person recommendations: Frogger Pole Position Pengo Pitfall Tron (the Light-Cycles one) Joust (I made sure I didn't just write down "old stuff I remember" - I've removed Q*bert, Qix and Football Manager) |

| Outrun and Hang On were after 1982 (unless gJones can find different to Wiki) but I will let it slide as it can be hard and you get the gist of what sort of game should be going in this week.
Yeah I know your not the old Jim but you might of wanted to put forward Cathode Ray Tube Amusement Device, on Donkey Kong it's in as it could be the arcade cabinet or one of the three versions on a home device before the NES was even around. |

| Zero just gets in to a vote as we move on to Week Two of the classics, Week One had 8 go in which isn't many but I think the period of time didn't help. Jan 1983 - Dec 1989
Dragons Lair Y 1-1 1942 Y 2-0 Gauntlet Y 3-0 Wonder Boy Y 2-1 Metal Gear Y 2-1 Space Harrier II Y 3-1 Golden Axe Y 3-1 Gradius Y 4-0 Chuckie Egg A 2-0 Treasure Island Dizzy A 1-0 Fantasy World Dizzy Y 2-0 Repton 3 A 1-0 Starship Command A 1-0 Ranarama A 1-0 Head over Heels A 1-0 Captain Blood A 1-0 Maniac Mansion Y 3-0 Elite Y 2-0 International Karate + A 3-0 Prince of Persia Y 4-0 R-Type Y 3-1 Alex Kidd in Miracle World Y 2-0 Wonder Boy III Y 2-0 Phantasy Star Y 2-0 Bomberman Y 3-0 I can see a few more well known titles coming now around the late 80's as the Mega Drive was just launching and the Master System had a decentish library

| I'm going to give Metal Gear a NO. I played it through MGS3's HD edition, and it definitely felt like more of a prototype of what would become Metal Gear Solid. I'd give Golden Axe a NO too, but folks seem to like it, so I'll just abstain. The rest are abstains.
I'd like to put forward Gradius and Outrun. My knowledge of this era is still spotty - hopefully it'll pick up in the 90s. I'm assuming we're just avoiding games released on Ninty consoles, yep?

| Outrun went in last week, I let it slide and it was 4 Yes's to 0 No's.
On Nintendo games there fine if arcade like Donkey Kong which went in last week or on another system like Donkey Kong which went in last week or Virtual Boy, Pokemon Mini which Balla didn't do if you wish to put forward something from them nearer the time.
Yeah next week it will pick up as we move to Mega Drive, Trurbo Grafx, Early PC era that there there could be lots including a blue hedgehog. |

| Oh boy. I think the olden days are going to be divisive...
Dragons Lair - No (nice idea, but doesn't constitute a game.) 1942 - ... ... yeah. Just Gauntlet - Yes Wonder Boy - No Metal Gear - Yes Space Harrier II - No Golden Axe - No Gradius - Yes
And now... in vain... some old pish Chuckie Egg Treasure Island Dizzy (come on, we've got to get a Dizzy game in) Fantasy World Dizzy (come on, we've got to get a Dizzy game in) Repton 3 Starship Command Ranarama (anyone?) Head over Heels (ANYONE?) Captain Blood (ANYONE??!!) Maniac Mansion Elite International Karate + Prince of Persia R-Type |

| Sorry to double post - I didn't want to confuse things. For some reason the text box stopped accepting text, so I hadn't finished adding some more suggested classics. (Maybe it's becoming sentient ) I was also going to add: Alex Kidd in Miracle World Wonder Boy III (much better than the first couple) Phantasy Star Bomberman |

@Jimbob on Dragons Lair you say nice idea, but doesn't constitute a game but what does and if it's not a classic game what is it, as I'm' pretty sure its a classic just look at how many times it's been released over the years. |

| I always saw Dragon's Lair as more of a cartoon, to be honest. Although, I guess you could make an argument for it being important as being the grandfather of QTEs. I don't know though - never played it myself! |
