Don't believe what the man tells you. If you wanna really help the planet, bust out the guillotines and kill some CEOs. |

Honestly considering this. |

| Today I went back on my vegan-sampling ways and ate a chicken bacon and leek pie that M&S, fools that they are, claimed was for two people. |

| I had a Bibimbap the other day. It's difficult to get vegetarian Asian food, but a Tofu Bibimbap is just the treat. Would highly recommend going to a Korean place for anyone who eats meat though. The one where we live has grills built into the tables, so they cook up the food in front of you. They cook the different meats in different sections, and the idea is that you pick out the bits you want with chop sticks. Also had a chewy ice cream, which is some sort of rice flour shell with ice cream inside. It's really good. |

| I don't think I've been to a Korean place in my memory. There's one two minutes' walk from my flat that I was interested in, before everything went to hell. Haven't got into the habit of going out to eat again since then really. - Muss wrote:

They do something similar in Japanese places too, ice cream mochi. It's good either way! |

| Yeah we've only ordered takeaways or collections. We're glad that the Korean place is doing the latter since the place is the size of a house and we wouldn't feel comfortable eating in such a confined space.
Mochi is the name of what I was thinking of. I don't know which country it originated in but it's great. Although the first time I ate it I gave it far too zealous of a bite! |

| Mochi is basically just rice that's been hammered fuck out of to make it a putty-like consistency.
When I was staying with a couple on their farm in Gifu, the wife had this habit of telling me about Japanese stuff and ending every story with "and every year, people die!" Apparently, a lot of old people choke on Mochi. |

| Haha, what a legend.
We've started watching the most middlebrow show on netflix, masterchef. One of the contestants made a curry sushi, which was mostly just chicken wrapped in rice with an assortments of dips. So that inspired us to make some vegetarian sushi today.
Neither of us had made sushi before. It turned out well. We got a sushi making kit from the local, which meant I could get reacquainted with my good friend Wasabi. I love the kick you get from it so much. Probably too much. I had a dollup on its own! Gives you that crazy sensation in your nose, but I tell you what I feel good after it subsides. Apparently it triggers an immune response, maybe that's why it gives me a buzz when I have way too much haha.
The only spices I really like are ones that hit hard and then chip on, like jalapenos. Playful spices. I don't think I could ever eat a vindaloo, things that linger overstay their welcome on my tongue. |

| Fries to GoProThese were free, I didn't buy them Tasted like thin chips afterwards, so I guess that's OK ConBut oven chips don't take that much longer and are at least potato that's been frozen at that stage in the chip-making process and are not so dubious looking They all come in their own little chip pod which is a bit wasteful Apparently if one's missing you can't put them in the microwave - one assumes that the weird grid of separation asplodes if there's no potato barrier Honestly mate |

| Ooh, nice. Not that you have to go to work at the mo, that's not nice, but the street food counter sounds nice. That said, I'm not entirely sure I'd trust street food in the current climate...
...anyway, clearly Mas you'll have to review all of them for the SRT. |

This is an odd one. The Lady, who's southern but not posh (not just relative to me, she's just not posh), and I both say sconn not scowne, so I'm thinking that might be a North/South thing; however, she does jam first then cream, and I do cream first then jam. Don't know where that came from. |

| The Jam and Cream thing ones the Cornish way the other Devon, maybe it comes from holidaying in those places and picking up how it's done. |

| I say Scon and Sk-own depending on how I feel. I like both. There's only a couple of pronunciations that I hate and they're both Americanisms. 'erb instead of herb, and "nich" instead of niché. |
