| So I seen Rogue One: A star wars story last night & I have to say it was a bit lame tbh, the only saving grace was Donnie Yen & his pal with the big laser machine gun. |

| Rogue One has a strange position to occupy. I liked it but recognise that it's flawed, particularly the very final part, which was super jarring. I stayed up last night to watch Let's Be Cops. It was exceedingly poor, really rotten. More shudders of disgust than laughs - although that wouldn't be hard, as there were zero laughs. I would have preferred "Zero laughs". |

Aye, apart from who I mentioned I just didn't like the main characters very much especially Andor who spent the majority of the film being a right dickhead who in my opinion doesn't do enough to redeem himself. In fact he outright steals what should be good heroic moment for Jyn Erso so for most of the film I just didn't care or was left thinking how I'd like to know more of the adventures of Chirrut Imwe & Baze. |

| The Addams Family is the best love story in film and I discard anyone who says otherwise. A long-term married couple with two* kids, who obviously remain massively into each other. |

| Yeah, this is what I never got with either the Addams Family, and also the Munsters come to think of it. Everyone used to leg it, but they basically seem like really nice families. |

| To join in with the Rogue One chat: I didn't rate it at all. It felt like a fan film with a budget, which I suppose is exactly what it was. |

| I thought Rogue One was rather good, sure its not perfect but still better then 37.5% of Star Wars films. |

| For me, I think the order would be - Spoiler:
BEST: Empire Strikes Back A New Hope The Force Awakens/ Return of the Jedi Revenge of the Sith Rogue One/ The Phantom Menace WORST: Attack of the Clones
I enjoy all of them on some level, because Star Wars is fun, but I just didn't care about the characters in Rogue One so the action felt flat. Star Trek's better though. |

Oh, definitely! Not many of the films capture the spirit of why I love the series, but they're often a good adventure with the characters I love. |

| Bit of a naughty post, but I (a) agree entirely with Drunka's film-ordering (maybe I like a New Hope More actually); (b) definitely agree about Star Trek being a TV show - as a franchise. I've recently caught a few episodes of the last season of The Next Generation, and by that time they'd got everything spot on - the characters were well-realised and multi-dimensional, and any outlandish space/time plot felt totally believable. |

| Death Note was alright. Laughably hammy performances from anybody not named Willem Dafoe and I hated how the film portrayed L, but there was some decent capturing of the cat and mouse element of the anime and I quite enjoyed the end scene and how it played about with the rules of the Death Note. |

| Back to the Future, for the first time ever. (hangs head) It was good! Don't give me that look: so many old nerd films don't hold up, Episodes 5 and 6 of Star Wars being prime examples (the interminable Ewok sequence... ). BttF does. Bits of cheese, but also enough humour and top plotting. |

Same! It was also pretty much the film that had me obsessed with skateboards back then too. |

If you can, catch the second one too. I prefer the first, but it's still a lot of fun. The third... less so. |

| I went and saw my all time favourite film, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, in the cinema last night for the first time ever. It was a phenomenal experience, like seeing it for the first time. Really being able to see everything, seeing the fantastic cinematography and being drawn into the action and the setpieces like never before. It was also great seeing it with a cinema audience, some of whom presumably hadn't seen it before, and hearing people chuckle at the little jokes and stuff. WHAT. A. FILM. - Balladeer wrote:

You've had some mad, indefensible opinions in the past but wow . . . And I actually love all three BTTF films. |

| Nah I genuinely watched them both for the first time recently, in slightly weird 60fps-o-vision, and thought they were both a bit bleah. |

| Not heard of 60fps version, normally it's 24fps or if you're Peter Jackson 48fps |

| I love horror films too so I have to get out to see IT at some point even though it's going to be tough for it to live up to the original. |
