| I'm not the biggest horror fan, but kind of for the opposite reason to why most people say that: they never really scare me, so I find them boring and dumb. |

| Saw Kingsman The Golden Circle last night and it's just more of the same if you liked the first you'll like this if you didn't then don't see this one.
I'm just hyped for Blade Runner 2049 now, make sure you watch the 3 shorts as could be important as the Prometheus to Alien Covenant one. |

| I forgot about Thor this month! Apologies, Mr. Odinson.
I've been to see IT today. Cracking film - the chap who played Pennywise was suitably creepy in a different way from Tim Curry's performance. |

| Watched Blade Runner 2049 last night, it's awesome and never felt like it was almost 3hrs long. This a must see movie. |

| The box office on BR2049 has not been great, I hear. I read a tweet that said something like "It's funny how a three-hour long sequel to a 35-year-old cult sci-fi film hasn't done well". |

| Just seen on my timeline that it's performed much better in the UK.

| Great it's done well in the UK but I think its a film that will do well on physical media. |

| I'm going to see it with my mum and dad on Sunday. Will make sure to squeeze in a rewatch of the original before then. |

I would say it better then it has any right to be due to reasons Zero said on why it hasn't done well at the Box Office but league ahead of the original, I can't agree and this is likely another Andy not liking a classic 80s film like with Ghostbusters. |

| I saw Blade Runner 2049 at the weekend. It had its flaws, definitely, but it was an absolutely phenomenal film. Stunning, evocative visuals and cinematography, incredible synth soundtrack and a tense, exciting plot. It didn't ask anything new on top of the original's questions about what it means to be human and the beauty inherent in our fleeting existence, but it certainly didn't cheapen that film or its legacy.
My concerns are with the film's treatment of women. It is a dystopian future, and the themes are about a hollow, artificial masculinity and a slave labour force, so by the end I felt it was making a deliberate enough point. It also did that sci-fi theme of making everything look like Tokyo and having loads of Kanji and Hiragana everywhere, but not actually having any Asian actors on screen. |

| I'm sure I've seen lore on why it looks like Tokyo.
I saw someone else say about the films treatment of women and why I'm replying now, I was thinking if the roles were flipped to me they'd play out very similar.

| Jo and I sat to watch Fast & Furious 8 today. Not quite as good as the previous one, which had all the feels, but still a decent slice of super hammy action fun. Jason Statham continues to turn into a parody of himself, following his lovely turn in Spy (itself recommended). |

| In advance of watching the sequel, hopefully, The Lady and I watched Blade Runner for the first time last week.
It's odd. Just... odd. Not good, not bad. Some bits eye-wateringly (or should that be bleedingly?) gruesome. Others trippy. And the romance scene is borderline rape. I think I feel how critics of the time felt about it, not how people generally seem to feel about it now. |

| The cinematic cut is bad, man. It just pisses all over the film's attempts to actually be about anything. |

| The version where Ford narrates over the film has to be the worst, though? |

| Thats the cinematic one, the studio thought the film needed explaining. They also gave it a more uplifting, and totally incongruous, ending. |

| I watched the director's cut, I think. Which omits the voiceover and happy ending, but doesn't have the full unicorn dream (whatever the feck that's meant to show) and apparently also omits some violence. I'll be honest, the :cyclops: scene was enough violence for me. |

He's a replicant. The origami unicorn showed that the other fella knew Deckard's dreams because they were implanted.
