| Fair - I think any of us reading it back know you well enough and recognise how you've changed over the years to recognise it as real dumb shit said before you were woke and think no more of it. |

| I pop in and out of radio silence quite a lot so I won't bother with an over the top "I'm back" post. But I am in fact back so do what you want with that information. Since I last posted I've graduated and gotten a job and it was a lot of work so I thought I wouldn't socialise at all to help me relax. I just got myself a Nes Mini to celebrate both of those things I just mentioned, so I guess I'll be making that thread my home for a while.
So anyway, Hi guys, I hope you're all doing just dandy.

This line aged amazingly. Welcome back Ducky! What's the job? Who's it for? I seem to recall you were doing a games design course...? |

| I have also started a new job, if anyone's interested. It's probably the first real grown-up job I've ever had, and it mostly involves being silly and entertaining children. I think I am actually going to love it, but at the moment I'm overwhelmed with newness and moving to a new city and only having internet in cafes and konbinis and stuff. |

| How big is the place you've moved to? I'd imagine it'll be a far cry from Tokyo and Osaka, but is it still more of a city than a town? |

| Nagano is technically a city, but it's pretty rural. I went hiking in the mountains last weekend and I didn't need to take any kind of bus or anything, all walking distance.
Yeah, I work in a school that specialises in teaching English. We teach kids of all ages for like an hour or two a week, on top of their actual in-school education. Generally, they have a more formal lesson with a Japanese teacher, then a lesson with a foreign teacher like me wherein they can practice the English with a fluent speaker.
At the moment though it's summer holidays, so I'm doing special lessons that involve playing games and having fun, mostly with young kids- all while trying to get them to speak a little English. I've literally joined during this company's busiest weeks of the year. |

| Have you taught before? I've never considered it as I think I'd be rubbish at teaching children, but I'd imagine there's a real thrill at seeing them learn and grasp a new language from your lessons. |

| I've joined the Beard Master Race. It'll never reach Jas or Drunka standards I don't think, I'll start clipping at it before it gets there, but I'm definitely furry. |

| I've never bothered to try to grow a beard - my facial hair growth is slow at best, so it looks pathetic for a depressingly long amount of time. Can't be doing with that! |

| I can't imagine you without a full beard Jas! That said, I've always been lucky* enough to have pretty rapidly growing facial hair, since about the age of 15 or what have you. Shaving has been a permanent annoyance, but at least I can turn on Beard Mode pretty much when I want. |

| Beards are the best. One of us! One of us!
An annoying thing has happened today, all down to the fuckery of a parcel courier (imagine!). I ordered a couple of games from Amazon, and was in the flat when they were due to arrive. However, I got an email saying "delivered to a neighbour" with their name, despite the fact they hadn't knocked or buzzed my flat. They gave a name for the neighbour - I have no idea who she is. They gave an address - it's inaccurate AND incomplete. It specifies a flat number, but not a building number - I tried that flat in my building, and they do not have it (not to mention it was a middle aged man who was unlikely to have this lady's name). I tried the other flat in the street it was likely to be, by process of elimination - but they won't answer. And I don't actually even know if I'm buzzing the right flat - BECAUSE THE ADDRESS IS INCOMPLETE IN THE EMAIL. WHICH I SHOULDN'T HAVE GOTTEN BECAUSE I WAS. IN. MY. PARPING. HOUSE. WHEN. THEY. DELIVERED.
I just want to play some Captain Toad. |

I vaguely recall seeing a piccy of you without a beard, so this is very weird to me. We need to raise the Say Cheese thread, don't we. - Rum Rapture wrote:

...I just want to play some Captain Toad. Not a good story, sorry Rum. Presume you've got in touch with Amazon? Or tried to? |
