1. After the most bitter of defeats...
17th March, 12.05pm After falling at the last hurdle in the Kanto league, a change of scenery was in order. Releasing all of my Pokemon I decide to travel to the far off region of Sinnoh. I have a personal affinity for the area, it boasts many tropical Pokemon and a personal friend of mine, Barry, lives near the outskirts of society. Such a transcendent place should be perfect to rekindle my challenge of earning a place in the hall of victory!
I check my new passport and find that my ID has changed... It now ends in nine. It appears my very destiny has changed from a firey combative style, to a more cool relaxed aquarius approach.
17th March, 12.20pm Meeting Barry in the small town of Twinleaf, I am reminded of Pallet instantly, yet there is something missing... I enquire to Barry about the Pokemon lab in the area, only to turn and see him shooting off towards the lake. I take pursuit.
We arrive to see the famed professor Rowan with his young assistant, apparently studying the lake. Looking out to the lake myself I realise its an area of great natural beauty, the still waters belying the obvious Pokemon activity below. As I zone out in awe of the scenery I am brought back to reality by Barry, who has noticed that the now departed professor has left his briefcase. Being the mischievous brash youth he is, the case is opened it a matter of seconds.
I notice however a flock of starly heading right for us, my hand darts out to the nearest pokeball and I enter the Fray!
Shanks the Piplup joins the party!
Just as the starly flee the scene, Rowans assistant comes bounding up to me with a distraught look on her face. After snatching the case from Barry she leaves in a hurry without a word. After deliberating with Barry we both decide to go and offer our apologies to both the professor and the young woman.
17th March, 3.30pm It must be fate, a new adventure begins! A perfect opportunity to make amends for my previous defeat has arisen. Leaving the town I eventually found out was Sandgem from the employees at the professors lab, I head off to the next town in pursuit of my first badge.
Oldschool the Bidoof joins the party! Silver the Starly joins the party! (and is subsequently boxed)
17th March, 6.12pm I feel out of place in Jubilife... Far to crowded for my liking, onwards to Oreburgh!
Dusty the Zubat joins the party! Jaster the Geodude joins the party! Andyman the Machop joins the party!
17th March, 8.53pm The first gym badge is mine! Andyman taking on the gym by himself with supereffective karate chops and low kicks. I decide to head to Floaroma town to rest. Oreburgh is a nice mining village and the people are friendly, however it is too noisy for my liking.
17th March, 10pm After helping Dawn defeat some suspicious characters I make it to Floaroma, more of the 'cult' appear to be bothering the citizens so I defeat them in battle and they run off. I decide to use the gifted honey to catch a pokemon in the town itself! That will have to wait until tommorow though...
18th March 6.47pm Balladeer the Aipom joins the party! Dusty the Zubat falls in battle to a trainers Clefairy....

Embarrassing for Dusty. Not sure how happy I am at being an Aipom: I mean look at it...

Nuzlocke update time!
Spoiler:
When we last left off, we were about to traverse the now no longer inky-dark depths of Rock Tunnel.
Well that sounds lovely! You sound like a charming individual and I wou-
On second thoughts, forget that. Creepy...
After vanquishing aforementioned creep, Jaster the Drowzee evolved into a Hypno! Jaster's been a real asset to the team - I taught him Brick Break, which helped expand his moveset and has really made him into a flexible offensive Pokemon.
Well, yeah... but somehow I think the type of cosplay you partake in is less like this:
and more like this...
My thoughts exactly. I cannot wait to get out of this wretched tunnel full of creepy obsessives like you.
Sweet freedom! I'm sure the beautifully named Lavender Town will improve my spirits. I bet there's a merry jingle to welcome all visitors into its idyllic beauty.
Uhhh... this isn't merry...
This doesn't sound beautiful...
THIS ISN'T IDYLLIC.
So, me and Locke duelled once more. The fight started off well as Jay the Wartortle easily dispatched his Pidgeotto, and then Phillips the Pidgeotto took out his Ivysaur. Problems arose when his next beast, Gyarados emerged on the field and immediately opened with Thrash. I was desperately playing for time here, as each use of Thrash was depleting my team's HP but bringing him closer to confusion. Thankfully, after an overuse of Dig by Sporkhead the Raticate to waste time followed by some Hyper Fangage, his Gyarados was defeated. Sporkhead saw off his Growlithe with little effort also, and then came Kadabra. I smirked, and responded with my Beedrill, not remembering that it was part-Poison type. As his Kadabra used Confusion and depleted all but 7HP from Andy, I realised his time on the team was likely over. He was meant to be my ace in the hole against Psychic types, but Andy wouldn't be up to the task, it would seem. Jay the Wartortle picked up the slack from Andy, and the battle was won, with no casualties.
I moved on towards Celadon City, hoping to find a team member who could perform well now that we were firmly in the midgame of our challenge. And luckily, I did.
Introducing, Stu_the_Growlithe! Honestly, this couldn't have come at a better time. The early Bug Pokemon fast lose their usefulness after the first few gyms, and I noticed how long it was taking to win battles with Andy the Beedrill compared to the rest of my team. So to pick up a Growlithe right before the Grass gym was a godsend. I boxed Andy. He'd done well getting this far, and who knows - should disaster befall one of my party, he could rejoin us.
My team at the end of the session. Stu has some catching up to do, but there are plenty of trainers between Lavender and Celadon to train upon.
Next time - Gym badge #4?

Well done making it through rock tunnel Jay. I can see your team taking shape, are you going to go all the way with a Raticate?
Time for an update on my Diamond run, its not pretty.
Pipped at the line
19th March
Phillips the Ghastly joins the party!
After wading my way through Eterna forest, meeting Cheryl and braving a haunted house I reach Eterna city! I notice a team galactic grunt standing around, they sure are becoming active in my adventure...
Just the other day I beat a Commander, Mars I think her name was? Her Purugly felled by Andyman and his ensemble of fighting moves. I decide to train up my Starly (Silver) to combat the grass gym that resides here.
JayMoyles the Meditite joins the party! Andyman is boxed
20th March
Victory! The grass gym badge is mine after a spot of hide and seek. Silver using wing attack to great effect.
I cut my way to the galactic building in hopes of freeing the bicycle salesman and saving the pokemon that team galactic have stolen.
Disaster strikes. My best pokemon, Shanks the Prinplup is felled by a critical hitting night slash attack from commander Jupiter's Skuntank. This after Jaster the Geodude missed three times in a row with magnitude due to a smokescreen. Revenge is swift with Jaster coming back in to seal the win.
Darunia the Ponyta joins the party! Stu the Bronzor joins the party!
My numbers are replenished, however I have a heavy heart. My best shot at securing a successful league run has gone up in smoke. I trudge through the city of Hearthome and Solaceon, battling my rival along the way.
22nd March
I manage to find no new pokemon which is worrying. I decide to not challenege any new gyms until I have explored every avenue for items and trainers!
until next time!
Its a little brief this time, however it takes a while for Diamond to get really interesting, personally I really like team Galactic and their plot does get good eventually. Also D/P/Pt has one of the hardest, if not THE hardest, league in any of the series. Should get rough from here on!

He's serving me well so far - Dig saved me against Gary's Gyarados, and Hyper Fang is ridiculously strong for the early to midgame. We'll see. I could really do with an Electric type, and the opportunity for a Jolteon is approaching swiftly.
Sucks to lose your starter Vid! Are you feeling confident about finishing this run?

I'll probably update again soon, my game crashed last time I was playing it I didn't lose much progress and nothing important happened but I spent just enough time playing it since my last update for me to lose all motivation to play it and keep putting off doing it all again

Well, I have made a little progress which I will write up soon. Im not especially confident with completing Diamond as the league is difficult as is the latter parts of the team galactic phase.
However I have caught A Shellos (Zerojones), now a Gastrodon, to replace Shanks. Balladeer the Aipom also evolved into the surprisingly powerful Ambipom, shedding his useless 'run away' ability for the very potent 'technician' ability.
Hopefully I will make some progress mid-week.

With Persona 3 done I shall be returning to this now. Alas I've lost the motivation to write up detailed thing, but I should make pretty fast progress once I get started.

I see Jupiter's hacked Skuntank took out someone elses Pokemon. No offence but this makes me feel a little better about it killing my Luxio with a critical Night Slash.

Yup, that was a pain.
A little update and a load of progress. I've gained three badges since my last post!
On my way to Snowpoint city now, ill just show my party and pokemon that have been defeated thus far.
Active Party:
Balladeer, The Technical Ambipom
Moves: Nasty Plot Double Hit Baton pass Shock Wave
A strong member of the party, can baton pass special attack boosts with Nasty plot, while firing off technician boosted Shock wave attacks. Double hit also benefits from technician and same type attack bonuses.
ZeroJones, The Jack of all Gastrodons.
Moves: Surf Mud Bomb Toxic Body Slam
My best offensive tool, has good boosted moves in Surf and Mud Bomb. Can be further empowered by a baton passed Nasty Plot. Body Slam inflicts paralysis and is the sole physical move here.
Stu, The Bulwark Bronzong
Moves: Extrasensory Hypnosis Confuse Ray Stealth rock
A very defensive pokemon, Is only weak to fire type moves! Extrasensory is the sole attack, Stealth rock has limited use and may be replaced. Hypnosis and Confuse Ray is always a great combo.
Masofdas, The Last Story loving Crobat
Moves: Fly Roost Poison Fang Confuse ray
A very fast and powerful team member. Moves need a little workaround though.
Defeated: Jaster the Graveler, Dusty the Zubat, Darunia the Ponyta, Shanks the Prinplup, JayMoyes the Meditite, Andyman the Machop.
Until next time!

Double post, but there's a reason for it: it's update time.
Spoiler:
We begin by catching a new Pokemon just outside Celadon City, it's Shanks the Meowth! Sadly, there's no room for him on my team, so to the box he goes!
I always enjoy the Game Freak team appearances in Pokemon games. Nothing like a bit of breaking the fourth wall!
Lying abandoned in a house in Celadon, we claim a new Pokemon. It's Vidofnir the Eevee! Unsure as to what I'll do with my Eevee yet...
My most frequently said thing on uni campus. There is a strange Rocket presence in this city... there's also the gym to tackle... hmm, what to do? I know!
Let's. Go. SHOPPING!
We picked up some evolutionary stones, some delicious fizzy drinks from a vending machine as well as a couple of TMs. I'm trying to save money so I can buy coins at the Game Corner to get some powerful TMs later on, as well as some hold items.
Someone's a pervert...
So, without further ado, the gym.
The gym trainers were trashed easily. Stu the Growlithe's Ember attacks did a great job, and whenever he was struggling, I'd swap out to Phillips the Pidgeotto to finish the job. No problems there. Then it was time for Erika.
She opened with her Victreebel, and things were going well. Stu hit her with a barrage of flames and her attacks were barely putting a dent on me. Then, she hit me with a critical Giga Drain. My heart stopped as I saw Stu's health dwindle lower and lower and lower until...
Holy. Shit. 1HP... I couldn't believe my luck. And to add insult to injury for Erika, my Ember attack that turn was a critical hit and saw off her Victreebel. I swapped out to Phillips and he mopped up her remaining two Pokemon.
Badge GET!
After the gym, I decided I would add Vidofnir the Eevee to my team in lieu of Sporkhead the Raticate, who was falling behind in terms of useability. However, I didn't want just a vanilla Eevee, so...
Electric Pokemon GET! I figured I could use one.
My team at the end of this update. I did some grinding (the VS Seeker is a timesaver when it comes to grinding) and levelled up Stu and Vidofnir to the same level as the rest of my team.
Next time: The Rocket Hideout and scary spooky ghosts!

An ice type should be handy for the league. Considering how overpowered Cynthia is in this game.
Balladeer the Ambipom is still going strong you will be glad to hear. Double hit with Technician has about 120 base power! It is like a Hyper Beam with no recharge.

Apologies for double posting, but I've got an update!
Spoiler:
To the Rocket Hideout, away!
The most incompetent goon in existence helps up progress onwards through the Hideout. We'll get to the bottom of Celadon's Rocket problem.
And the source of the problem is this guy, Giovanni. The battle begun easily with Jay the Wartortle taking out his Rhyhorn and whatever his other Pokemon was in one hit. Then came Kangaskhan. At one point, nearly all of my team were on red HP because of this thing's Mega Punch. Luckily, a Hypnosis/Brick Break combo from Jaster the Hypno saved a potential multiple team-mate loss.
Giovanni mumbled something about not understanding the gravity of his plans and fled, leaving behind the Silph Scope. With that, we can go investigate what's going on at the Pokemon Tower.
Ah, I see the Pokemon Tower is situated in Glasgow.
Moving up the tower, Stu the Growlithe reached Level 31, and learned Flame Wheel. With a more powerful Fire attack under his belt, I figured it was time to use that Fire Stone I picked up at the Celadon Department Store. Arcanine GET!
After busting ghosts and busting out Fuji, we were rewarded with Pokeflute. With that, we could open up the way to Fuschia! We went to take on the first of two Snorlaxes. I fully intended to capture one of them. I opened up with Masofdas the Gloom, whose Sleep Powder and Acid was whittling down Snorlax. Suddenly, he used Rest. No biggy, means I could get some free hits in on him. But... he was packing a Chesto Berry, and was roused from his slumber.
Headbutt.
Critical Hit...
Despair.
We captured that Snorlax, naming him Treesmurf. He'll be joining my team to replace Masofdas, who he slaughtered. I got Treesmurf to annihilate his brother for his crime.
Next time: Fuschia - Safari Zones, Ninjas and adventures galore!

Little sad that I'm the only person updating as of late.
Nevertheless, the road to the Elite Four goes on and on... and with that comes a HUGE update, featuring about 18 images and a GNamer Nuzlocke first, VIDEOS! There are some audio desyncing issues. I'll iron those out for next time, so long as you guys think I should continue recording important battles.
Spoiler:
We begin by travelling down Cycling Road, fighting the local bruisers!
This was an early moment of panic. I was hit by a sludge, which was a critical hit... then it poisoned me, leaving me with 1HP. Luckily, Phillips lives to fight anoth-
-er...day... DAMN. FUCK. GRRRR. Tri Attack is ridiculously strong. Critical hit took me from almost full HP to dead. RIP Phillips.
Luckily, I had a contingency plan. Remember, a while back I placed a Pidgey in daycare, just in case this occurred? Well...
Welcome back to the team, Xenos! She quickly evolved into a Pidgeotto as she was level 31 coming out of daycare.
It's like being back home, up the high street.
Picked this little guy up on the other side of Fuschia City.
I nabbed the two HMs you get from doing the Safari Park. Sadly, no Pokemon captures!
Time to train for Koga.
BLASTOIIIIIIIIIIIISE
PIDGEOOOOOOOOOOT
KOGAAAAAAAAA
T-Treesmurf...?
I was hit by a critical Sludge attack.
Jaster the Hypno blasted the rest of Koga's Pokemon to Psychic oblivion.
Rest in peace, big guy.
I needed someone to replace Treesmurf. And I knew just the Pokemon for the job...
Introducing Athrun the Hitmonlee! He's a real asset to the squad.
I'll do it myself!
Silph Co. went without a hitch. The trainers were squashed by my team's ever rising strength. We flattened everyone... until this asshole.
VIDEO. IT'S THE FUTURE.
We then squashed Giovanni without a hitch (I forgot to press record, so no video, or screencaps.)
A useless reward. We're out to squash legendaries on this challenge!
We're also out to squash gym leaders, so Sabrina, your time is up! My time is now!
Another video! Don't say I don't treat you lot.
Next time: Let's go legend killing.
