Only thing I can think that New Nintendo Switch would do, if we got one.
We're more likely to get one that does less, rather than more, at a cheaper price. No dock and locked Joycon for a more handheld price? There would still be the option to buy a dock and traditional controllers later on, but it'd make sense for kids once the 3DS family finally dies.

I think you're right and you can but docks on their own at the moment that a dockless Switch or a handheld version which could still use the dock isn't out of the question.
I look at the 3DS family and see that version of the Switch it's the 2DS and I see my version of the Switch it's the New 3DS, I can't see why we can't have both.
As they're people like me who would buy a New Nintendo Switch with 4K and they're are people who would buy a cheap version just to play the games in the ecosystem.

I reckon we're a few years off squeezing 4K gaming into that tablet, and I doubt it's a top priority for Nintendo. Take-and-go gaming is the future, so there will be a 4K equivalent eventually, be it from Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, Apple . . .

Well the tablet wouldn't 4K maybe bump it to 1080p but the dock would be 4K, basically what we've got now but replace each resolution with one up.

The dock doesn't render anything though, it's just a glorified HDMI adaptor.

Yeah I know that but a 4K screen on a tablet would cost a few squids and look at how much a iPad Pro is. I would think this is the reason the Switch is 720p to keep costs down, I'm happy to pay more for a 1080p screen and if you can some how get it to output in 4K as well when using a TV that would be great.

I just meant squeezing a machine that can output native 4K into a tablet-sized device.

It can be done as I'm sure someone has got a game running in 4k on a iPad Pro and I'm not talking New Nintendo Switch next week, I'm thinking 2019 or 2020 when costs are down otherwise at this moment of time it could be horrendously expensive.
By then 4k may have become of a standard as well.

I think this game was in amongst the sizzle reel at the first Switch reveal & it looks like a fun platform/pinball game.

Also I'm sure you've all seen this but it's fun video nonetheless.

Jas, I thought that was a new Yoshi's Island game for a moment! And didn't know whether to feel excited or underwhelmed, which... says a lot. The mighty falling and that.

The logo and name is very similar, isn't it? It's a while from release so hopefully it turns out to be good but I already love it's style & I find the music quite relaxing.

Ninty Life, among others I'm sure, have just shared what appears to be a leaked thing from a game. A gentle reminder to all here that some people (self included ) might want to wait until E3 for the games to be revealed, as Nintendo (n)intended; so be liberal with those spoilers tags!

That said, said game looks pants and its existence annoys me, so I'm glad I've had it spoiled already!

Honestly considering the types of games you like to play I can only see you bouncing off it once again but if you must then charge on. You are right about it being on a better suited system with the Switch having a proper second analog stick.

Using a longsword is a good way to annoy me, had to deal with all three of the monster mash lads using one at one point.

Hunting horn was my main weapon in 3 ultimate, fun weapon if you like KOing monsters and supporting your team with buffs.
