| I've not played a Ace Attorney game for years but if one came to Switch I'd be all of it and due to the Switches architecture I don't why they can't along with Level-5 port over the mobile versions of them and Layton.

This is going to be one of three things: 1) A new Ace Attorney game. Possible, considering it'll have been a couple of years since Spirit of Justice by the time we see a new Ace Attorney on Switch. 2) Rereleases of the old games with an HD lick of paint. I think this is likely... and I know I'll be a mug and rebuy them. 3) Releases of the Japan only Ace Attorney games. I'd be all for this, to be honest! |

| Take this all these rumours with a massive pinch of salt: - Rumours:
1. A Switch port of Dragon Ball FighterZ is in the works and will likely come out in Fall/Winter 2018. Seems likely with Namco talking about how Xenoverse has done and letting that die down a little before talking FighterZ on Switch.
2. Soul Calibur VI is in development and will come to PS4, Switch and PC. With Link as a guest character in the Switch version. We've not had a Soul Calibur this gen, so I think the game is likely and we all know how 2 did on Cube.
3. There has been pressure towards Game Freak to get Pokemon’s 8th Generation out in hopes of a release next year. If you recall Pokemon Stars, was real, but all it was Sun and Moon tech demo of the engine ported to the Switch. We know the game is coming and we would all think it will be next year.
4. Nintendo Direct in January, this is seems the most likely out of everything.
5. That direct will focus on Metroid Prime 4 which Namco are developing, not the much rumoured Bethesda. We know the game is in the works and Retro aren't behind it but not sure if would be something we see in a Direct in January, unless the plan is hey you've got Switch for Christmas now get hyped for 2018.
6. Animal Crossing is coming next year. Can't see why it wouldn't.
7. Virtual Console to be subscription based. I don't know if this is confuse with the paid online or a part of that as we know NES games will be or something on top again but I wouldn't mind a Netflix/Access/Game Pass/PS Now like service for VC.
8. Mother 3 is real and is done but Nintendo are waiting for the right time release the game. If true, I'd think that it's getting left back till VC is ready.
9. The World Ends With You 2 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch which is part of Square aggressively pursuing development on Switch. Well it sure is aggressive.
10. Hearthstone port is in the works. We had that tweet back in January along with Blizzard talking Switch here and there, with this be a great fit on the go.

| Going to spoiler box those rumours Mas, just in case. My thoughts on the rumours below in bold! - Spoiler:

Seems likely with Namco talking about how Xenoverse has done and letting that die down a little before talking FighterZ on Switch. I could see this being the case. There was a lot of buzz about a potential Switch port a few months back which had developer response, so I think this will end up being true.
2. Soul Calibur VI is in development and will come to PS4, Switch and PC. With Link as a guest character in the Switch version. We've not had a Soul Calibur this gen, so I think the game is likely and we all know how 2 did on Cube. Dubious about this one. Didn't SCV struggle?
If it results in a rushed game, I hope they take their time. I'm sure Nintendo are eager for another reason-laden year like 2017, but I don't want to see that at the expense of a game's quality.
4. Nintendo Direct in January, this is seems the most likely out of everything. Fair enough - don't see any reason why Nintendo wouldn't want to get some hype building for the year ahead.
So long as it's not Team Ninja...
6. Animal Crossing is coming next year. Can't see why it wouldn't. Yeah, fair enough.
7. Virtual Console to be subscription based. I don't know if this is confuse with the paid online or a part of that as we know NES games will be or something on top again but I wouldn't mind a Netflix/Access/Game Pass/PS Now like service for VC. I can see this being the case and I'd actually be all for that. Buying a month's subscription to play some retro games in a quiet month for the Switch sounds ace.
8. Mother 3 is real and is done but Nintendo are waiting for the right time release the game. If true, I'd think that it's getting left back till VC is ready. I can't see why they would have released Earthbound Beginnings if Mother 3 wasn't on its way too. It'll be a big selling point for the VC, I reckon.
9. The World Ends With You 2 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch which is part of Square aggressively pursuing development on Switch. Well it sure is aggressive. I refuse to believe anything about this game's existence until I see footage. Nope. Don't play with me, Squeenix.
10. Hearthstone port is in the works. We had that tweet back in January along with Blizzard talking Switch here and there, with this be a great fit on the go. I reckon this'll happen too. Hearthstone is on mobile, right? The Switch would work well with Heathstone.

Hmm on SC, Tekken 7 has done really well and I don't T6 did much that maybe Namco think they can do the same with SCVI and if you've got Link in Switch version that would shift loads.
Who to have in the PS4 version and then the PC version?

..........and now I'm worried about that game, I know Namco are big but they're more about publishing big titles these days than actually developing them. Honestly thought this one was just going to be handled in-house by Nintendo so I personally hope this turns out not to be true.

| - More weight to one of the rumours along with reply:
SCVI has been rumoured to be at either The Game Awards or PSX, this is from someone else this one and they both might be wrong or one just adding to it.
Well in-till now with Namco rumour Jas, it was heavily rumoured Bethesda would behind Metroid Prime 4 and one of the reasons behind the now strong relationship between the two companies.
How would you feel about them and not Namco?

Tough to say really as I don't think I've played any Bethesda developed games, so I'd still prefer it to be devleoped in-house so it get's the same treatment we have seen with BotW & SMO.

Myself don't think Bethesda themselves are that great it's the teams the work with and Panic Button who handled DOOM, Rocket League and the upcoming Wolfenstein port seem to know what they're doing with the hardware, that maybe let them have a bash.
You even say yourself Jas these port houses could be working on an actual game

Actually Machine games (the devs of the newer Wolfenstein games) is part of Bethesda, isn't it? They'd probably alright at making a Metroid.

| I'm not reading any of the spoilers. I'm just sad that more of the General Switch Chat isn't about Mario Odyssey.
Most General Switch Chat at the moment should be about Mario Odyssey. |

I did end on about 400 moons though so I have played a fair chunk of it, and yep been getting back into Spla2n & MHXX. |

By which point I'll have moved onto XC2, but y'know. Principle of the thing. |

| It hasn't... but given Mario's broad appeal and GotY/GoaT contender status, I was hoping for more. Maybe that's just me being unrealistic. |

| I never really feel the urge to talk about SMO beyond the point of "it's brilliant" because the game kind of speaks for itself. I'm also not that keen on spoiler based discussions just because you never know what others have done especially with something like Odyssey which everyone will have a very different experience with. |
