Yesterday I Drank

...maybe. They are utterly grim though. Like, dragged through a hedge backwards stroke victim grim.

Quite a lot of rum, this evening (and I don't mean the Rapture kind). Not that I'm trying to organise votes while a tiny bit sozzled. No sirree...

Yesterday I went out and drank Coke for the entire night because I had a dental extraction hours some before. The dentist swore me off booze.

I seldom drink these days, but because I couldn't yesterday, I really, really wanted one.

Fentiman's Traditional Rose Lemonade. It's a new one on me but I generally like Fentiman's stuff, so that was a decision. A regrettable one, to be honest - the taste was so, so foul. I drank it all, though, just to teach myself a lesson: new things are bad.

Are they the ones that come in the traditional glass bottles, Zero?

Read that last night on my 'phone as I was walking down the street (sober), and for some reason it had me absolutely pissing myself.

are both amazing, but that Rose Lemonade was appalling. If it had been a review, we'd be talking 3/20.

Last night I had some Spiced Apple Kopparberg, which was very tasty, and some Wild Berry Kingstone Press (which I chose, mostly because it was close to 'Kinstone'), which was not quite as good, but not far off.

I really like the Fentimans cola. The cherry one is also nice. And dandelion and burdock is always nice.

Haven't had dandelion and burdock since I were a lad. Ben Shaws we used to drink, if memory recalls.

Ben Shaws! Just about remember that. A good D&B is an amazing drink.

Yesterday I drank... A pina colada, several gin and tonics, a couple shots then 3 different fruity martinis. It was a good night. I've now got a cracking new Facebook profile picture of me giving a lad the Attitude Adjustment.

Say Cheese thread beckons, Drunka. I might share one of my awful drunken NYE pictures too.

I drank something aptly named "The Strongman" on New Year's Eve, it certainly separates the men from the boys, I felt awful the next day, worst I'd felt for a long time.

A bottle of Grafruitti Lucozade. Well, I say "a bottle", but it exploded when I opened it. It was tasty, a bit like Vimto. Yes.

Vodka, fresh orange and lemonade. I actually enjoyed drinking it, making it the first alcoholic drink I've liked.

Plenty of chardonnay at a friend's house. No hangover the day after, either. Unlike my friend.

Vodka can go quite under the radar, if it's mixed in well enough. However, my research indicates that neat vodka tastes somewhat unpleasant.

Vodka is my favourite drink, but it's horrid neat. Best with either lemonade, fresh orange juice or (best yet) cranberry juice.

My problem with vodka is that I usually can't taste it in whatever I drink it in, which leads me to ponder the point of having it at all. I've all but stopped drinking it now.

Never have and still don't drink alcohol (not to be confused with a sip for taste - all horrible). Back in my youth I had to be careful as everyone wanted to get me drunk, so there was always a risk of Vodka spiking. There is a part of me, a very small part, that would like to know what it is like to be drunk, in a very controlled situation, but I think I will go to my grave forever sober. In a country f heavy drinkers, I have certainly been the odd one out in my social life.

That's more or less my view on vodka too. I much prefer rum or bourbon if I'm going to be drinking something with a mixer.

I think it's my way of compensating for the fact that I don't much care for alcohol outside of red/white wine and certain types of cider. I do quite like Archers, but that's a bit gay.

I don't think I'll ever acquire a taste for bitter and lager. Blech!

At least you have an excuse for liking drinks that are "a bit gay", Stu!  I have no defence for loving Archers, and indeed Malibu.  But they really are top.

I've started to get more into bitters recently.  Lager?  I'll pass.  Same with whiskeys, which taste like horrible burning to me.
