I always wondered what bitter piss tasted like, now I just need to drink a Corona to find out.

The implication is that somewhere out there there is sweet piss.

I'm quite fond of Corona, so long as it's served with a bit of lime. Clearly, that means I'm fond of bitter piss so long as it's served with a slice of lime.

I think we need a Snack Review Thread review of Jay's piss after three cups of coffee, with lime.

I drank a lot last night. People are telling me it was the drunkest they've ever seen me

Highlights include a 45 minute wrestling match in the road while my lift waits to drive me home, getting told off by the police and sneaking whiskey into my Pepsi in kfc.

That pretty much sums up any lager for me. The only really redeeming feature is the slice of lime they bung into the bottleneck to disguise the horrible taste.

I think cheap beer - especially American cheap bees - tastes like shite and is only there to get me pissed. If I'm actually looking to enjoy a beer, I'll get a nice IPA or something. Beer doesn't have to taste awful.

But they're all predominantly bitter (hence some beers being called "bitters"). Considering that "bitter" is the taste that your body uses to warn you when it's being poisoned, I don't see how you can enjoy a beer without being conditioned to do so? And this is from someone who's been conditioned to enjoy certain types of beers: love a Guinness, me, but can't sensibly answer why (apart from, "It slows my otherwise ridiculous drinking rate").

Anyway, two bottles of Bulmers Pear, and two bottles of Old Mout Lime and Kiwi, on an empty stomach. Opinions on Old Mout, anyone? Feel it's not quite as cloying as Koppareberg, say, but still nice if you go for the fruity ones rather than the basic apple (which is Strongbow levels of terrible).

Taste is subjective though. First time I tried a beer - probably a Budweiser - I thought it was just okay. First time I tried a nice beer, which I think was a Brewdog IPA, I enjoyed it immensely. No "conditioning" there. If I didn't like it, I wouldn't drink it.

Taste also definitely changes as one ages. Both wine and coffee are flavours I used to despise, yet now I happily drink both as a matter of course.

We like Old Mout here which, yes, isn't quite as overpoweringly sweet as Kopparberg.

Not yesterday, but two days ago now: pints of Mad Hatter and Piffle!. The Mad Hatter was alright - hard to sink well - but the Piffle! was much more enjoyable. Do love me some guest ales!

A Refresher cocktail - not related to the sweets, and not alcoholic either... but very tasty. me some raspberries.

Pimm's. Not yesterday, but this weekend just gone. All of the Pimm's. Three glasses on Friday, one on Saturday, three more on Sunday. Come this weekend, I daresay I shall drink more. I love Pimm's, and it's the only scenario in which cucumber is not a vile abomination.

Pimm's used to be my go-to drink before I discovered the joys of Gin and Tonic.

A whole carton of Energise Innocent Smoothie (order of words subject to change) in three minutes on the way to work, as I'd stayed up to watch the World Cup semi final and didn't want to fall asleep at work. It nearly worked, too...

I only fell asleep for a second, honest, guv...

4 Cups of tea, 2 glasses of Vimto, a glass of Coke, a can of pepsi and a bottle of Lucozade. I've been very thirsty today.

Tea?! We thought it was too hot for tea yesterday.

We did have champagne, though, to celebrate Jo's last day at her current job.

Well done Jo! I may have some myself tonight (exam pass), although I spent last night at a concert after-party and this afternoon on the dessert wine. Not sure I can take it...
