| I'm not big into the kanshos or the kikkus. Wagamama do a gin and tonic now though, which is very much what I'm into. |

| It's funny you should mention gin and tonic - yesterday Jo opened one of her birthday presents, a bottle of Kyoto gin, and we both had a gin and tonic with a slice of lime. I can stomach one G&T but no more, and it proved the case here. I wasn't sick, mind you!
Earlier in the day we'd been to Wagamama, only this time in Birmingham. Plum wine was had by all and it was good. |

| Here's what I've been drinking a lot of lately: milkshake. I really like some chocolate milk on the way home from work. Sweet and refreshing, but not as much caffeine and sugar and that as a fizzy pop or anything to keep me from getting to sleep when I get home. More recently, I've been getting into strawberry numbers as well. Good stuff indeed. |

| My Wagamama choices are plum wine or a small sake flask. It's not the best sake, but it's nice enough! Anyway I went to an aquarium plus prosecco evening. The free prosecco was a single glass on arrival, which was a bit cheap; so we bought another bottle to take around the aquarium. Then went for cocktails afterwards. |

| Eww.
Happily nobody did while we were there. I imagine the sharks wouldn't have taken too kindly. |

| During Hyper Japan (last time, honest) I bought a can of Dr. Pepper Cherry Vanilla. Yes. Quick review: everything that makes Dr. Pepper unique is lost in the mish-mash of flavours. Back to the Dr.awing board, methinks. |

| I found some Peach Coke Zero in Tesco yesterday and drank it a few hours later. It tasted like Coca Cola, and the aftertaste was peach. It worked! Hooray for science. By the time I got to the end of the bottle, though, I didn’t want any more. That was when I remembered - I don’t like the taste of peach. |

| A lesson learned, then. Anybody else tried the new formula Irn-Bru? I'm not too sure what to think about it - there's a definite difference. Mind you, I barely touch the full sugar Irn-Bru any longer as I've converted to Irn-Bru Xtra which is just as good in my book. |

| I’ve not tried the new formula one but you are right that the Xtra version is pretty much identical. A masterful feat of engineering, that - literally no other sugar free version that I have found has managed the trick. |

| Peach Coke: delicious Dr Pepper: Not actually all that popular over here. I had to go into a "foreign food" section to find the regular stuff, let alone cherry vanilla.

I'd argue that Pepsi Max and Fanta Zero have both nailed the sugar free version as well. I prefer those to their full-fat variants. Speaking of Dr. Pepper, its sugar free version is vile and it could very well be a sin to consume it. |

| I''ve never got along with Coke Zero/ Pepsi Max. I can drink a whole can and not feel like I've consumed anything. I could just as easily breathe in a can of air for the same effect. They don't even leave me refreshed in the sense of having consumed a volume of liquid. |

| Never tried the 'zero' versions of coke-flavoured sodas, however I love peach flavourings and so should probably give that a go.
Dr. Pepper is horrendous. |

| @Balla: ‘Horrendous’ is a bit much, bro. @Drunka: bang on. My wife is as addicted to Pepsi Max as I am to Lucozade and we sometimes - very rarely - dip into each other’s supplies. PM, as we call it in our house, is definitely not as good as the original... and I don’t even like that very much. |

| I've bought some Coke Peach to keep me going whilst was watching Mania this weekend, I hope I like it.
Pepsi Max is the best of them all, then Coke Zero.
Strange one with Dr Pepper as I don't think I really liked but the past few weeks I've had a craving for it and the same with peanut butter (I hate nuts). |
