SPLATFESTS - The End Has Come

Marina has never lost the popular vote, but it did come tantalisingly close. Either because people really like flying, or Marina's influence is waning. But it's probably best not to delve too deeply into fictional celebrity culture. Having won 22 of my 42 splatfest solo battles, it's nice to see I had a positive impact on the scores.
It's becoming a trend that Marina always wins the popular vote, but never wins the team category.

They should trudge out a pair of decaying, obese, slime-covered monstrosities in place of Marina and Pearl for Splatfests. Keeps it fair.

I don't want to shag Marina and I find it insulting that any of you would suggest otherwise.

I don't care how the toilet roll is arranged, as long as there's enough there when I need to use it. Poor show, Splatfest Ideas Team. Poor show.

Yeah that doesn't exactly get me itching to join in on the Splatfest.

It's not the best splatfest but honestly, back rollers are despicable freaks and must be destroyed.

What about the dock leaf master race? That I clearly just made up for comedic effect.

The Back Roll is for people who like wiping their arse with the remnants of the bathroom wall...

Agreed. Who the heck does that? People who hate their house guests, obviously.

They really have to stack the deck against Marina - I bet she'll still end up winning!

My theory is that there's one dude in the Nintendo of Europe offices who does it the wrong way round and this is all an effort to show him how weird he is.

In the North of America they're having this Splatfest this month - vampire vs. werewolf. What has prevented Europe from getting this Splatfest?

A certain part of Europe may have been particularly biased when it comes to NoA's splatfest theme...

Maybe we did, but just from a different point of view, vampires front roll and werewolves back roll.

This splatfest was a little bit uninspiring, but I once again sided with Pearl, and I think a lot of people did because I ended up with a lot of civil wars, at least two thirds of my fights. But you know how it workds by now, the most popular loses the team fight, and personally I went negative on my win/loss count so looks like Marina might finally win a splatfest.

I almost missed this splatfest even happening, let alone getting mentioned in here. Its a no-brainer though, right? Much as I enjoy a bowl of coco pops, fruit loops or lucky charms, nobody's going to sit there and tell me they prefer a bowl of soggy leaves to a delicious, warming wake up of eggs, bacon, sausages, toast, tea/ coffee, baked beans, black pudding, fried tomatoes . . .



Only lazy people choose cold breakfasts. Luckily, the good guys won.

I... I didn't even know there was a Splatfest going on!

I suppose being in the shadow of Mario wouldn't have helped matters.

I think we even got a new map but saw no one talking about due to Mario.

Blackbelly skatepark is a port from the first game, unless another new one came out that I don't know about.
And the final results for the popularity vote were pretty even, 53 hot to 47 wrong cold. I only played a little of this splatfest because of Mario's influence and my poor internet on Sunday morning. Hopefully the net splatfest is something fun and seasonal like polar bears vs penguins or something.
