Just booking the last of my travel - when are folk thinking of leaving? I'm likely going to try and get a train between 10am and 2pm - is that too early, too late, or all good?
Has everybody else got their travel sorted?
Ahh shit I knew I was forgetting to do something today, I'll definitely get it all sorted tomorrow though & I'll be travelling down on the Friday and leaving on the Sunday. (I know Jay is heading back on that day as well) I imagine I'll be heading back around 10am & 11am as I don't want to get back home too late in the evening.
EDIT: That's my tickets sorted as well, I shall get into Manchester Piccadilly at 2:57pm

Most of the pubs I had recommended to me seem to be in the north of the city, whereas we seem to be based halfway to Stockport, on the southside of Manchester. I'm keen to travel into the city and try different places, and I've got some sound recommendations across the city centre too, but it's everyone's shout.
I think the city centre is the best shout - we're reasonably well connected where we're based in that there's a train station supposedly only five minutes away from the flat. Worst case scenario, a taxi or Uber shouldn't cost much between five or six of us.

Anywhere catch your attention? I liked the look of 17below and considering it's located below a restaurant and you have to walk through said restaurant to enter the place, might be a shout to grab dinner there one of the evenings before checking the place out in earnest.

That could possibly be an option to be honest although depends how willing people would be to travel yet again to get there, it's at least 40 minutes from the city centre via public transport.

Arcades, pubs, good scran, more pubs and then up the road so I can tan your arses at Bomberman - sorted.

Sounds like a plan.
It might be an idea to find our nearest shop if we want to buy some things in for breakfast as soon as we get there, along with bringing in some drinks I'm sure too.

Good news everyone, I've got the Saturday off now as holiday along with my Sunday off, I'm even trying to get Monday off due to the drive back (or at least swap to a late).
I'll be coming up on the Friday after work (2pm) due to the drive as I don't really want to leave silly o'clock on Saturday morning and then be tired and irritable.
Now has everyone paid Jay and from looking back at the thread seems you paid £30 per person each night and I'm guessing it's 2 nights, if that's right that's £60 each and a total of £300, now for 6 people that would be £25 each that I will owe you all a tenner or £50 as a whole.

No rush for the money - I think most folks are paying me when we're there.
I'll get everybody the location of the airbnb and whatnot emailed over in the next couple of days.

You can have your tenner at the meet or as I'm leaving a supermarket where I get discount on Friday on my way and I have a car I could buy drink, food etc for peeps then you don't have to go hunt for it in Manchester.

I think if you just get a couple of rounds in a pub you'll be fine and everyone will be squared up. I'm paying JoyMoyles in back rubs.
I think folk should be all right for a carry out too. I was probably going to bring a bottle of single malt and get a few tins when I'm there. I'd hope we'd be out on the Saturday night now that I know folk aren't coming on the Friday like I'd thought.
Is anyone wanting me to bring any games down? This weekend is the last chance I'll have to grab any non-Switch stuff before we head down on July 6th.

You should have an email in your inboxes with the address for the place and other details.

I did. I've gone under another not-very-secret fake name for the purposes of this, but rest assured I've signed up and the e-mail didn't go to the wrong person.
