Pretty sure I've said I'm in numerous times, the bnb just needs to be sorted so I can then get my train tickets sorted by the end of this month as if that doesn't happen then I'd have to drop out.

Right, I'll book it tomorrow for the Friday/Saturday/Sunday if that's you saying you're in for the Friday, Jas. If not, and if nobody else is in for the Friday then there's little point booking up for the Friday if it's just me and Cappa. There's no point in rushing in if I'm just going to drop an extra £100 for the Friday for one or two of us. Please let me know by tomorrow evening - around 9pm - if you're in for the Friday.

Aye that's cool, I just forgot what we had decided on and looking at previous pages didn't make it clear so I thought I'd double check.

Booking is confirmed for this one! The lad was very friendly in booking it, and I've asked him to get the two doubles and four bunk beds made up so you'll get your own room, Balla! I hope that'll give you the privacy you need and that way we can all be in the same place, which will be much easier and more importantly, more fun! If you're really really not keen, then don't worry, but with us being a bit outside of the city centre, I figured it would make sense for us all to be in the same place, so I did try to find a place where you could easily get your own room, Balls Man!

For this heading in for the Friday, I'm booking tickets to get into Manchester Piccadilly for roughly 2, and I've said to the lad renting the place that I'll be at his for check-in at 3:30pm. It's a short train journey or a 10 minute taxi from Manchester Piccadilly to his place, which should be grand. For those on the Saturday, we'll work something out for meeting up with you guys.

Don't sweat the extra day's payment for Friday - looking at it, I'm saving loads on trains going in on the Friday so I'm not fussed about paying an extra night to get cheaper trains.

If you guys want, I can add your emails to the group to send you a copy of the details for the place.

Don't worry about money or paying me back just yet, we've plenty of time to sort that.

Well played, Jay. I'll start sorting my travel tomorrow - are youse (Jay and Jaster) wanting to head down and back up together? It's going to be much cheaper for me to go from Glasgow rather than Edinburgh, with some trips on the way down only being £16.

Do whatever's cheapest for you, boss. It's obviously a fair bit cheaper going Edinburgh side for me, so whatever works best for you. I've got an off peak return going from Edinburgh Waverley to Manchester Piccadilly with the only condition being that the train has to go through Carlisle - which I'm reckoning is a given, all told - so I'm good to head down whenever. I've told the guy I'll be there for half 3 at the flat, but I can head into Manchester earlier if that ends up being the cheaper option for you two making it in.

I'll look into it further. Getting down to Manchester for mid-afternoon sounds like a great shout - we'd be wanting to make the most of it, and anytime on the Friday suits me too.

Superb stuff Jay, as I said before I'll get my travel plans sorted at the end of this month.

By my counts, it's looking like £30 per night you're staying. As for when, so long as I've got it for the meet-up itself, I'm happy enough.

Some probably bad news on my part, my parents have booked a holiday over that week which puts me on dog minding/house sitting duty so alongside my shifts at work I probably won't have much free time to pop along as I won't want to leave them alone for too many hours of the day. They do get back on the Saturday so depending on when I'm working I could still possibly swing by later on in the day.

Bring the dogs out on the randan, or have us round to your folks' bit for an empty. 

I just booked my travel for the way down, and I'll start looking into pubs nearby and in the city.

I'd be up for having Treesmurf's dogs at the party! We could play 1-2-Bitch!, Mario Bark 8 Deluxe, Jackboxer Party Pack 3...

Fun* fact: I found it really difficult to type that one. I know that's the correct meaning of 'bitch', but it's been used as a derogatory term so often that my overly PC fingers almost stopped in their tracks.

I might be able to make it due to some changes at work but I can not confirm as of yet.

Most of the pubs I had recommended to me seem to be in the north of the city, whereas we seem to be based halfway to Stockport, on the southside of Manchester. I'm keen to travel into the city and try different places, and I've got some sound recommendations across the city centre too, but it's everyone's shout.

I don't mind a bit of a stroll, with or without Masofdas!

Just booking the last of my travel - when are folk thinking of leaving? I'm likely going to try and get a train between 10am and 2pm - is that too early, too late, or all good? 

Has everybody else got their travel sorted?
