No problem. If it's free for you then there's no reason not to give it a shot - it is a good game! The one thing I would say in that case is that it didn't click with me immediately, although it clicked sooner than (say) Ori did. I'd say that ideally, you want to get to the woodland area at least before you write it off.

Turned it back on tonight. Thrown straight into a race section that likely would have made me quit the game had I not finished it there and then. Strewth.
Trouble is... I actually felt damn chuffed having beaten it, especially because you finish off as the frog and the frog is great. Any game with a really satisfying continuous swinging mechanic is great.

So, with a bit of RPG discussion popping up in the Paper Mario thread I thought I'd suggest those looking for that kind of game might want to look up CrossCode. It came out last week and it seems to be reviewing fairly well plus if I remember correctly I think a few folk on here were interested when it was initially announced in an Indie direct a good while back.

I've got it downloaded on my Xbox One as it's in Game Pass, just not got around to it as not really been in the mood for anything since Last of Us Part II.

The best eShop RPG I can recommend is the Castlevania Anniversary Collection, which is definitely an RPG and is 75% off for only £3.99 on the eShop:
Okay, Castlevania has RPG elements in places, I can buy that, maybe I'l...

There's also a nice musical RPG for £3.59 as well.
CrossCode has caught my attention. I just this week picked up Felix the Reaper and Death Squared though, so it needs to be on the wishlist for now. Fair to say that it's not going to fill the gap left by the Mario RPGs, mind.

Definitely interested in CrossCode, I'm not rushing out to download it though as I think I'd prefer to have it physical, with the praise it's been getting it feels worth it, I'll bite the bullet soon I think though. I should probably get Castlevania as well seeing as I've never played the series, if it's not actually an RPG though Cappa there's gonna be trouble.

Strong Year Walk vibes from that for obvious reasons. Intrigued.
Quick update on Death Squared: don't think I'm a fan. I don't like the way that the effects of your cubes' movements changes every level. Give me consistent rules damn it! (Baba Is Two release when.)

I played some Rogue Company last night on Xbox One but is cross-play and was the it's out now in the Mini Direct.
First game it was 2 v 4, I don't know why it didn't just wait for more players. Meaning that was not fun as I was on the team of two.
I did play another game of 4 v 4 and it's fine, basically as 3rd person less polished Valorant which is only on PC that if you want a similar experience on console then RC might do the job but gain this is based on the tutorial, a match against bots which, then the two online games

You see Panzer Paladin, Jas? It looks like it be your cup of tea
Also Roki looks like it might be my cup of tea
I have indeed and it's been on my eShop watch list for the last week or so.

I watched a 15 minute video (a full match) on this and it just looks so basic, I normally really like third person shooters but the way this one was playing out with folk abusing the third person perspective by hiding behind certain bits of cover waiting to ambush enemies just made it look boring. I would really like to have a multiplayer game for my Switch but I think I can hold off on RC and wait for the infinitely more interesting Quantum League.

Double post as I finally started CrossCode, I've just finished Chapter 3 which is about 2 half hours in.
I'm like it especially the character that speaks french (well there's no VO) text.
I would recommend to Zero if he was on here and maybe Balla but I know what he's like with retro looking games, even though this seems a decent ARPG set in a MMO, you know the anime trope by now.
Personally playing on Xbox because of Game Pass but even though the retro style is nice, it's not the best on a 49" 4KTV that I think this might be best on the Switch on the small screen due to the retro style and reminds me of the GBA etc then the SNES
