This and what Mas said is literally the most I've heard about it. Plus, I have some Souls-likes on my shelf waiting to be played including an action-focuse, parry-heavy Samurai game literally made by FROM. It's Luke Summerhayes: The Game . . .

Saw Alba pop up in a video and mentions it's what Pokémon Snap should be as you walk around the island taking pictures etc like I can see why if you replaced a Seagull with a Wingull that either of these games could be better.
Balla brings up games on his radar and this one might not be for Balla but certainly is for me and coming mid-August

Mas I love you but that might be one of the worst segues I've seen. Anyway, after West of Loathing and during Jenny LeClue I'm All About the impactful choices! (Not in that game though, that looks dire for me.)

The main character and her voice actress are really good. The perfect level of snark. The writing around her, and the voice acting, is more variable but still on the higher end. Those are they key areas, so it's a recommendation from me so far. (Other pointers: the platforming bits are annoying, there are missable collectables which I don't care for, and the art style's cute.)

Burnout Paradise Remastered is only £7.50 on the eShop at the moment so I spontaneously bought it the other day. The only other Burnout I've ever played was the original on the Gamecube, and this is quite different in its approach but it still feels a little nostalgic. Defo worth a punt if you're into that kind of thing.
(Waits patiently for Balla to come in to declare it is not his kind of thing.)

It's not my kind of- oh.
That said, I think I might own Burnout Paradise on the PS3! Never played it.

Burnout Paradise is really good and probably the most accessible of the series given its basically a free roam game, bargain at that price, I think it'd be a lot of people's kind of thing (maybe not Balla's still).

Burnout Paradise would comfortably be the best game that Balladeer has ever played. "Nostalgic" is a apt way of describing it, as I think it's one flaw is that it lacks many modern day quality of life features. It definitely plays and feels like a game from 2008.

Saw this, bought it, nice little game. Been hearing about this game on podcasts and that for more than a decade so I was very happy to give it a go.

Nostalgic would be apt as loved playing it on the 360 and joined some random multiplayer games, then those guys got added to my friends list and we joined up all the time to play Burnout Paradise multiplayer it was good times.
Don't know what be like to play now after thing's like Forza Horizon 4.

I've never played anything like Forza so that hasn't spoiled my enjoyment of it. Played it for a few hours and zipping round the city is pretty fun - haven't even done that many races yet!

My most recent eShop purchase has been one that Cappa would absolutely loathe: Voez, all the way back to the Switch's launch. The mechanics are a pretty fun Guita-Hero-crossed-with-EBA rhythm tapping game, but the soundtrack is mostly J-Pop and K-Pop (although my heart did a jump when I saw the Shovel Knight intro), and it's all dressed up in a lovely anime-style makeover. The light-touch 'campaign' gets bloody hard bloody fast, mind. Think it might still be 50% off if anyone's curious.

Aye, I looked up some youtube reviews of the switch version late last night and it looks like a great amount of stuff for only 8 quid. I'll probably pick it up at the end of the month

I've got DOOM, DOOM 2, DOOM 64 and DOOM 3 unplayed on my Switch, plus there are those Duke Nukem and Turok remasters, but nonetheless I am tempted by Quake.
I like classic, fast paced monster shooting.

It's actually quite good, do remember Oldschool not being a fan as it's much slower than other DOOM's plus he wasn't keen on it being so dark but myself found it to a good horror game which pushed the OG Xbox graphically.
