It's £18! Oh lord, I thought that it was free-to-play when I saw this popping up on Twitter! I think I'll pass. Hades on the other hand sounds right up my alley. |

| I bought Nexomon on Xbox and so far I'm liking it, may even go as far as to say prefer it to SWiSH in the context of this was £17 that was £40 along with dev size etc.
Going to play some Hades which I see there's like a God Mode which is for people who don't like rogue-lites, so Balla may want to check it out. |

| I've not seen a mention of that anywhere else Mas: have you glimpsed any details I can read? That said, my record with Supergiant Games is spotty at best... |

| That doesn't solve my main problem with the sub-genre though, which is the procedural generation and different-every-time-you-play experience. I'm fine with dying lots! I regularly espouse Celeste's charms, for example. It's just that next time I get to have another crack at the same experience. Think I'll skip this one and carry on with Andy's favourite film. |

| Hmm, I think that's quite an interesting thing with Hades though, there are 4 bosses which are likely to be the real sticking points that are largely the same on every run, so whilst you do get the variety on the journey and end up with a different set of weapons and boons to fight the bosses with the actual points where your life is on the line are the same.
I think you also get a lot of control over your more varied attempts. Sure there's a little bit of luck as to which gods show up, but ultimately you can start with your preferred weapon and perk set up every time so you can still feel like you're improving one skill set.
Hades - it's great. |

| Is it anything like Dead Cells? I have played that in short bursts but ultimately find unlocking new weapons and enhancements a bit too much of a slog. |

| Some of the gameplay loop is similar to Dead Cells but in the early part you definitely unlock a lot more stuff to play about with & that allows you to specialise in a certain play style like Andy said above.
I've done just under 20 runs and I have all of the six weapons & about half of the character upgrades (talents) unlocked and while it does look like it'll take a long time to unlock or upgrade everything after that it doesn't feel necessary for me to have them all for a successful escape.

| I didn't love Dead Cells, I do love Hades - that's all I can say!
I also heard similar from others. Dead Cells is a much more traditional Rogue-like, Hades has a lot more to it. |

| Next week If Found... is coming to Switch via the eShop.
It's one of the games I've played this year that I'd highly rate (currently have at 6 out of my top 10 games) but is very heavy on the LGBTQ themes along with being close to a Visual Novel side of things which not all of you will be keen on. |

| Are visual novels unpopular on this forum? I've always got the vibe most people here would enjoy them. |

| I'm a big fan of linear visual novels - that's basically what the Ace Attorney games are! However most visual novels get their 'gameyness' from asking you to replay certain paths, which as y'all know I'm not so keen on. |

| It does have choices but I feel you'll have the same ending just how you get to the ending
Also Roki is coming to Switch tomorrow as well, I've heard good things about it on PC and I feel like I saw something that looked or sounded decent is out tomorrow |

| Picked up Killer Queen Black at 90% off (only £1.77!) and Return of the Obra Dinn (50%, so £8.99) yesterday, if anyone's interested. I don't think they're on sale for very long. |

| The Lady adores Obra Dinn, as did Yahtzee if I recall correctly.
I would like at this point to head off any speculation that I'm dating Yahtzee. |

| I'm picking up Oprah's dinner as well, albeit on Steam because it's slightly cheaper. Have heard good things. Speaking of the chap who made it, a knock off of Papers Please also came out recently. Not Tonight I think it's called. It's in the charts at the moment, a post-brexit Bouncer game. Critical consensus is middling, but I might give it a bash once it's on sale. |

| He said "middling", not "an overwhelming consensus and the clear will of the people". At least read before replying. |

Edit: Guess I missed it... |

| Horace just clocked a Nintendo Life 10/10. All I recall about it is Yahtzee going 'THIS IS A BABY', which probably isn't enough to put me off. To the wishlist with you, Horace. |

| That's the same guy who gave A Short Hike 10/10 as well (and I'm sure has given out some other slightly odd scores). I'm sure Horace is good - A Short Hike is - but not convinced it's necessarily 10/10 worthy! |

| Aye, I don't usually put much trust in Nintendo life reviews but Eurogamer's Christian Donlan seems to love it as well.
