| I've unapologetically put in UGG in there, but it's my only game from this year. Still though, anyone who's seen my Gintendo output or my avatar shouldn't really be surprised: even if I ranked it a bit too favourably upon initially finishing it, I've not played anything this year I liked more. |

| Surprised even if it's your GOTY in 2019, it made best of the decade as I would have said BotW, MK8, Some Mario, Celeste, a Xenoblade to name a few for you but I'll wait and see from the Awards. |

| Giving you all a big nudge as we're into the last week of voting and I've only had three responses so far. I'm hoping you've all finished your Christmas games now and are ready to vote your socks off! |

| I may well have a game changer (no, not a dramatic change to everything, just some changes to the gaming votes) to send you before the deadline... |

| I've had a couple of people apologise for not filling out a full slate of votes - rather than individually replying, I thought I'd jump in and say that it's absolutely fine if you're not able to vote for every category. I'd rather have something rather than nothing, after all! |

| Thanking you all for your votes thus far - again, I won't hear any apologies about not filling out a full draft. A contribution is a contribution at the end of the day and I'm happy to have any and all votes. Having said that, there's a couple of regulars who've yet to send me anything... I won't name and shame you yet, but your time of reckoning draws near. |

| Thanks to everybody who's sent votes across! You've got a few more hours if you want to make any amendments or to get your votes in if you haven't already. There's only one of our regulars who hasn't sent me votes who I will gladly name and shame if I don't get anything because I even reminded him and nagged him over on Twitter about it... I'll get the first results post up tomorrow, FYI. |

| Right, let's get this party started! First off, including myself, we had 12 sets of votes! That's a solid turnout and I'm dead chuffed with that. Thanks for contributing, folks - threads like these wouldn't work without people getting involved. I'll be ensuring to include any and all comments that were left. We're kicking things off on a quieter note. I want to get you chomping at the bit for the heavy hitters. THE 2019 TOPIC OF THE YEAR AWARD SPONSORED BY TOPIC BARS (NOTE: NOT ACTUALLY SPONSORED, BUT WE WILL ACCEPT ANY AND ALL SPONSORSHIPS)Obviously, the lifeforce of the forum is you wonderful lot, but it does help that we have some cracking topics to get our teeth into. We've got some real creative sorts on here and everybody is up for getting involved with some great discussion or having a laugh with a forum game or event. Including myself, we had seven votes for this category, so cheers for your involvement to those who voted in this category. - Missed out on the podium...:
topics in italics received multiple votes, topics in bold were somebody's first placePokémon Master Sword and Hylian Shield - 3 points: "Shout out to everyone who wrote about their journey" OrangeRakoon Made a Puzzle Game - 3 points: "This is really clever and impressive. Deserved more talk than it got." The Big Fat GNamer Gaming Quiz - 3 points: "Not just because I’m reigning champ! . . . but mostly because I’m reigning champ." The Official (?) Nintendo Music Thread v2.0 - 3 points: " I don't really post in there but I love what the guys do and especially the end of decade summary posts". I'm a Switch, I'm a Lover - 3 points: "Love my Switch, love chatting with you cunts about switch." "...because the Switch is always really enjoyable to talk about." The GNamer Fantasy Games League - 2 points: "Was a good year long game for the forum to get in to, I expect much of the same this year." What are you playing on the Switch? - 2 points: "I like hearing about good times and potential switch purchases". Last Retro Game You Played? - 2 points What's eShopping about? - 2 points Feel Like Pure Shit Just Want Gamestation Back x - 1 point Crash's Capsicums - 1 point: "Made us laugh, made us cry. Woah." What You Playing PS3/PS4/VIta style - 1 point
- Third Place:
The Big Gaming in the 2010s Discussion Thread - 4 points (2 votes)You say: "Got some good chatter, this one. I really enjoyed digging into the decade and other people being wrong about its best games.". I say: Wahey! We didn't have a podium placer based solely on one person's first place vote. This was my two pointer - I know it's my thread, but I actually barely participated beyond moving the discussion forward with a new topic. It was great reading everyone's thoughts on the decade in gaming and there was some cracking discussion. Top work, folks.
- Second Place:
Last Game You Finished and Your Four-ghts - 5 points (3 votes, one first place)You say: "Always nice to hear what people finished and how they got on with it". I say: I must admit, I was surprised to see an ongoing forum staple like this make the podium. Usually, this category is dominated by vote or event threads. I suppose the relative lack of vote threads this year has made us appreciate the classics. I think we all do a great job of giving a mini-review of our latest finished games and it does do the job of providing recommendations to the rest of the gang.
- And the winner is...:
Let's Chat Some Bollocks About... - 7 points (3 votes, two first places)You say: " Cracking idea, I’d say let’s get back on it but I’m so tired all the time.". I say: Yes! This thread was bloody brilliant. Everybody gave brilliant write-ups for their games and I was actually inspired to pick up Ridge Racer 3D on the back of Cappa's recommendation. I had a blast putting my Tomodachi Life post together. Even if we don't return to this, it's the sort of topic I'd like the GNamer Hall of Fame to become. This was a thread to look forward to and a worthy winner, I'd say.
That's yer lot for tonight. I might treat you all to a double whammy tomorrow if I'm feeling frisky.

| Wahey! 12 votes is a good turnout! The winner is one that completely passed under the radar for me. That's kind of shameful, as it was a top thread with top discussion. Happy enough with that! Moyles has stuffed the numbers though, two first places ought to get it at least 7 points. Elsewhere, I also gave two points to Jay's discussion thread, although it is definitely cheating for him to vote for one he created. I'm chuffed to see the music thread get three points - not from me, that would have felt cheeky given that I make half the posts, but it had some top non-Balla contributions and I'm glad it got recognised. My first place went to OR's game, and given that we're a gaming forum and that's an actual forumite-made game I'm just a little bit sad that it didn't get more chatter than it did. (Cue somebody telling me I neglected Jimbob or Eof's prior offerings...) |

Not from my point of view - I don't think I've made anything worth people seeing so no worries there! OR's browser game was bloody genius, and I echo the sentiments of the comment. I think that list of diverse votes goes to show that we've done a lot of excellent things in the last year. |

| Two of the Three I voted for made the Top 3.
Nice to see the 3DS thread make number 1 and for myself going back to read about Ever Oasis recently, be nice to see some more of these be it 3DS or even other systems. |

| Apologies for not being able to update the thread yesterday folks - unlike my usual procrastination and laziness, this time was for genuine health reasons. And I know you were all chomping at the bit to know the post and tagline of the year, so let's get right back on track! A quieter pair of awards here, hence the amalgamation into one post. We had five votes for tagline of the year and five for post of the year. Aye, one to review next year perhaps as that's less than 50% participation for this category compared to our overall number of votes, but hey ho. Let's not dwell on that - let's get to some results! THE GREENER AWARD FOR THE 2019 TAGLINE OF THE YEARAKA the award where we grade Balla's jokes. No, on a serious note, we've had some quality contributions this year and I had a good chuckle - and many a groan - looking back at 2019's taglines. Here's the lucky few that received some votes! - Didn't make the podium:
As you'll quickly realise...
- Third place:
...this award was a bit flawed!
- Second Place:
Welcome to Nintendo of America. No one's home. Now scram-- and don't come back! Gwa ha ha! - 1 vote
F**k capitalism! Burn it all down! - 1 vote
Ground Control to Major Tom Nook - there's something wrong, we haven't seen your game - 1 vote : "Best Bowie-themed tagline we've done."
GNamer's Into Its Second Decade! - 1 vote
Mechstermination Force, like Shadow of the Colossus but good - 1 vote
F*CK OFF BLIZZARD - 1 vote
Deadline for the 2018 GNamer Annual Awards is this coming Monday. Get your deluxe tales of 2018 in quick! - 1 vote
Peach doesn't even make the five incompetent national leaders of the current era - 1 vote
'Man, what a buncha jokers!' Reyn said to Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger and Mark Hamill - 1 vote : "Best of that particular month."
If it's in a word, or it's in a clue, you can't get rid of the Baba Is You - 1 vote
Don't Be a Wooloo: Vote Jeremy Corbiknight on Thursday - 1 vote
You used to call me on your cellphone, late night when you need men killed - 1 vote : "That's a NMH reference, right?"
Which big men has it been a good year for? Find out in the GNamer Annual Awards! - 1 vote
- And the winner is...:
F**k, Marry, Kill - Yuffie, Tifa, Aerith... Oh Wait - 2 votesYou say: "Best of this particular variant." I say: And I agree! Clever stuff. We actually had a winner here rather than one big draw. THE POST MALONE AWARD FOR THE 2019 GNAMER POST OF THE YEARMuch like topics, the forum wouldn't work without the fine fine posts that you wonderful lot put together. Here's the posts you thought were top notch in 2019. - Didn't quite make it:
Jay reviews a screensaver - 2 points "Jay flies under the radar as a funnyman, possibly due to his volume of output, but his finest are up there with GNamer's. This was a top comic post." (Note from me: That accompanying comment sounds like I wrote it. I honestly didn't. ) Drunka taking a big risk with a joke, but it was well received - 2 points Kriken coining a new genre - 2 points Jaster "Are you on the waccy baccy?" in reference to Mas talking about some YouTubers - 1 point Cappa reviving the Reggie thread with the immortal line "Shagging at the Game Awards"- 1 point "Shagger."
- Third place:
Jas translates into Scots - 4 points ( 2 votes, one first place) You say: "It's confirmed: everything sounds funnier in Scots." I say: Belter of a post from Jas. Although I'm worrying about ever trying to make a serious point on a podcast based on that comment now...
- Second place:
Drunka's review roundup of every Switch game he's played - 6 points (three votes, one first place You say: "Calling Gris self indulgent wank was particularly brilliant." "Longreads are some of our best posts, and we know Drunka's a funny chap. Put them together and you get this very fine specimen, showing just what a great time the Switch has had." I say: Yeah, this was top notch. It also serves as a useful recommendation roundup - a real Swiss army knife of a post!
- And the winner is...:
Jimbob asks us a question - 11 points ( four votes, three first places)You say: Zilch! I say: No comments, but the post speaks for itself in a way. Easily the biggest laugh I've had browsing the forum all year. A worthy winner!
Next update... our first gaming award winner!
