OK. *cracks knuckles*
In my opinion:
1) Don't touch Giana Sisters, at any price. Wretched, it is.
2) Toki Tori 2+ is still a bit overpriced. When a puzzle clicks it's amazing but all too often you'll face powerless confusion.
3) Little Inferno is probably worth experiencing at that price but it's not really a game, as such.
4) Kung Fu Rabbit might be worth it at that price. It's not much - at all - but there is a certain mindless fun you can have with it.
5) EDGE is still on its discount (£1.79), I believe, and that feels ace to play. I am a bit upset that the first menu links to 'Buy Toki Tori 2+' but you can't blame them for trying!

Toki Tori 2+ is WORTH SEVEN POUNDS (sorry) for sure, if you're willing to try a game with next to zero handholding (though I heard the Plus update has added some in, I have not played the game since) and a large variety of puzzles taken from a couple of gameplay mechanics.
At its original price it's harder to recommend, I have a feeling its long development period has led to this outcome after the game suffered numerous delays (wasn't it meant to be Wii U launch originally?)

A fair whack of stuff on sale there, some of which is available at a discount now and some to come on Boxing Day. There's even a few that aren't advertised there, like Puddle, Toki Tori 1 and Little Inferno. There's probably about as much on eShop that's discounted than not. Which, after years of (fruitlessly) waiting for anything resembling a sale on WiiWare, is absolutely A Good Thing.
Anyone interested in any of that? I liked the demo of Cloudberry Kingdom on 360, and I think £4 is pretty good going, so I'll probably give that a download. I might wind up with TNT Racers as well - looks good, but why it isn't online is a complete mystery to me. I'd say DuckTales is not a bad shout at £7.19, and ZombiU - unless you're masofdas - is an absolute steal at under £8.

I'll go for Cloudberry Kingdom and maybe Ducktales. I would like ZombiU, Splinter Cell and Assassin's Creed but I'd rather have a physical copy.

Cloudberry and DuckTales float my boat from there. I'm afraid I fall into the masofdas category when it comes to ZombiU, however.

Puddle etc are listed in my list of the weeks confirmed eShop stuff. Also if i was getting ZombiU I would sooner get a physical copy then digital.

ZombiU for £8 is a steal. One of the best survival horrors in recent years, and probably my favourite use of the Wii U hardware in a single player game.

Just as TCK has asked over in the 3ds version of this thread I'm goin to do the same here, I've got about £8 left so any recommendations? (Currently torn between more VC games or new experiences)

DuckTales at £7.15 is good, if still not quite essential. I think it's cheaper on PSN though, and it's only a fiver on 360.
I downloaded Cloudberry Kingdom for £3.99, and it seems pretty good so far.
I quite like what I've played on the Dungeons and Dragons game on 360. Two side-scrolling brawlers for £5.99 represents decent value of money, and with a load of local multiplayer and online options, I might be something you want to explore.
Super Mario Bros 3 is great, but how many more copies of that do you need? If you don't have it, though, buy it first.
Of the Ubisoft games, Assassin's Creed III is pretty meaty for just £7.99. I'll assume you've played that though, just like I know you have ZombiU. I couldn't comment on the others though.
On VC, I like Kirby Fun Pak and Super Castlevania IV a ton. They'll always be the same price though. Perhaps those are two you could buy another time.

I forgot to mention I already bought cloudberry kingdom, we should get a GNamer multiplayer session on that some time.
Cheers for the other suggestions but I reckon I might go for castlestorm after reading a review that Fronkhead linked me to as I don't want to over do it with the 2d platformers.

From what I played of local multiplayer on Cloudberry Kingdom, it was co-operatively trying to reach the end of the levels, so essentially it's upping your chances of getting as far as possible. It does sometimes work against you though, for example those platforms that disappear as soon as one person stands on them: unless you're at the same pace as the other players they've left you an unbeatable stage.

Bumpity bump.
It's the last day of the eShop sale. If it's of any benefit to anyone who's still on the fence, of the games I went for I recommend Cloudberry Kingdom at £3.99, sort-of recommend Kung Fu Rabbit at £1.79 if you like that sort of game (certainly not essential, mind) and probably say that you can miss out on TNT Racers at £4.49 (it's OK, but the lack of online murders it).

The eShop now has new music. This is the fourth theme that the eshop has had since launch. Not as good as the original theme, but better than the second theme, and I suppose the jaunty Christmas music couldn't last forever.
And for those that want a reminder: Original: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHfCgGG2E7U Theme 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tn_vOiG2l0Y Xmas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3EsPfM0T8c Theme 4 (Current): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyxPrefBe1U
Edit: According to my followers on Twitter, the 4th theme is meant to be a subliminal way to promote Wii Sports Club, as the music is very similar.

I don't especially like that original theme, but that's maybe because it takes me back to the days when eShop had hee-haw on it, and what was there was completely overpriced. It's still bad, but not December 2012-bad.
The rest are fine and dandy, though pale in comparison to the Wii Shopping Channel theme.
That was music to shop to.

The new one does sound very Wii Sports like, very clever, I'd probably say I prefer the second theme to the original though, Christmas theme beats all which goes without saying... except the the Wii Shop channel music that is.

Agreed on the Wii Shop Channel theme, it's still the best one by far, and also the only one that truly fits its purpose of being 'musak' to me.
The DSi Shop music was pretty good as well.
