I've never dabbled in Earthbound/ Mother etc so this will definitely be getting a download (when I get paid)

Right, that's it - time to wrestle my Wii U back on to the Internet (it wouldn't download the most recent update  ) and download me some EarthBound. I've only been wanting to play it since I knew what the Virtual Console was.

Honestly I'm more excited about having just purchased this than I am for Pikmin 3 coming out...

Cloudberry Kingdom is certainly on my to buy list. It sounds interesting enough - a platformer game that adapts to your skill level? Yes please!

Also, ever since it was released on the Wii VC, I've been tempted by the SNES Harvest Moon. There's too much on my gaming plate already, though!

Double post, for which I apologise here, but... Cloudberry Kingdom. Cloudberry $#&*ing Kingdom. By now you all know the pitch. The reality is a bit more like a roller coaster: things go well and then it throws something so hard at you that ten lives fall in two minutes. Then it evens out for a bit before before throwing the one hard level at you again. The levels themselves are tiny and you instantly restart, which is good. In fact, the game as a whole is good, with lots of invention. As an example, a ten-level stretch in the story mode sees your character, Bob (yes), strapped to a boulder, which affects your momentum terribly. It's fun.

Yep. Cloudberry Kingdom is awesome. The soundtrack is surprisingly good too.

It reminds me of Super Hexagon's soundtrack. It's unusual but it seems to fit the occasionally frantic nature of the game.

For a long time I thought the game was called Blumpie's Party, which made me laugh...but at the same time made me wonder why Nintendo was endorsing it.

Just waiting for DuckTales, me.

I might get pokemon when it comes out, but ducktales is the must download.

It's such a shame to see wii U download schedule revert back to 2 or 3 games a week, what's the hold up?

That e shop trailer is glorious, stand outs for me were: Scram Kitty & his buddy on rails, March of War & Wooden Sen'Sey.

Wahoo!  Knytt Underground, Nihilumbra (all aboard the Braid train!), and of course Tengami were the standouts there for me. I'm quite curious about Rain AS too, for no reason other than that it seems very Russian.

Tengami looks delicious. Fingers crossed that the gameplay lives up to the high concept.

I wouldn't worry too much about Knytt Underground, I didn't think too much of it. It was ok but I'm glad I didn't pay for it.

Yeah those did look interesting as well.

Oh I tweeted ISOTX (creators of march of war) last night asking when they'd share more info on the wii U version & they replied this morning with "we are now focusing on iOS, and are looking into it" so it seems work hasn't even begun on it & will be while before we see it.

On PC it will be a free to play monthly episodic massive online multiplayer game, so I do wonder how they will deal with this on wii U.

That sounds more convincing. Still, could be a northern thing.
