Typoman's out this Thursday, the game that's part Limbo-esque platformer and part anagram puzzle book. I'm playing it for a Gintendo review - it's not just the word puzzles, let me tell you! There's a fait bit of tricky platforming involved. I'm cautiously liking it up to press.

Seems theres a lot of stuff on offer soon, including some games that got some votes in the eShop category, I'm tempted by Shantae myself.

I'd highly highly recommend Lone Survivor to any folks who like a bit of survival horror. It's amazing how unnerving a 2D game can be. Well worth the two bob, that.

Did you not get it free with plus Jas? It's crap! I'm pretty tempted by Swords & Soldiers 2, I really enjoyed the first, though I've not heard anything about 2 so I'm not sure.

It was for ps3 on plus, wasn't it? Hmm....I think you're just trying to make me save money so it can go towards Yakuza 5.

Might get TWA. One of few games on that list to garner points in the recent vote.

Yeah it was, it's also one of the worst 2D platformers I've attempted to play, poor checkpoints, not particularly responsive platforming, overly reliant on collectibles. I like some of Wayforwards stuff (Shantae Wii U, Mighty Switchforce) but Ducktales is really naff.
Buy Yakuza 5

Thomas Was Alone and Stealth Inc. 2, the pair for less than an all-day bus ticket? That is amazing. Shantae and the Pirate's Curse is worth the time at that price, too.

Fair enough if you thought you put a link, but I didn't see it, and it gets on my tits when folk don't do include one when the news asks for it.

Agreeing with andyman that Ducktales isn't especially responsive, but I'd forgive it if I paid under a fiver for it. The cutscenes just about ruin it with their frequency though - they're nice and authentic and all, but it seems that you can't go more than fifteen seconds platforming without being interrupted. Very annoying!
Off topic, but I can't think about Ducktales either as a game or as a cartoon without thinking about Chief Inspector Tam McGleish's parody of the theme tune.

Has anyone else picked up FAST Racing Neo, I got a £25 eShop voucher and got that and Cloud for SMASH.
I've only done the one cup on the easiest setting, so far and some online multi-player. All seems decent and some of the issues at EGX have been fixed which is alwys good.
If you like F-Zero or Wipeout then may be worth a look also the online has friends options that we could get a GNamer game going.

It does interest me but it's one of those games that I think will live and die on its quality of the online experience, how many players is it?

Some bad news for Balla as I know he is/was excited for Hyper Light Drifter.
We got a update on the kickstarter and it's not good for Wii U owners
So what happened? We had information about our engine (GameMaker what Undertale uses and is a issue for that game to come to Wii U) , two years back, when we announced support for the platform. This had assured us we could port to the Wii U with relatively little hassle by now. However, due to ongoing internal contractual issues beyond our control between the platform holder and engine developer, we just don't know when or if this situation will have a good resolution. We are looking into the options available and doing what we can to help push the issue, including posting about it here.
This means we will still offer the option of Wii U in the Surveys, with the stipulation that if you do choose it as your platform, and we end up unable to support it this year, we will offer you a key on another platform of your choice. We would rather keep this option open, knowing there's still a possibility for it to work, than cancel the port right now.
I added the bit in brackets and don't worry it's still planned for Ouya

I read that too - not good! Here's hoping some sort of deal can be reached, because I bet some people backed it on the basis of there being a Wii U version. I think there's trouble ahead...

The worst the comes to mind is Bloodstained as it's coming in 2017 and that's without any delays and by then we could all be moved on to are NX's.

I read this on NL, and this is not good news, not at all. I was really looking forward to it. I hope it still makes it onto the NX.
At the same time, I'm a bit more circumspect about backing KickStarters and "expecting" to get games (I'm not sure I backed HLD in the first place). A backing is an investment, and like all investments it can fall through.
...that doesn't mean that if Y-L doesn't make it to Ninty consoles, I won't throw something through a window.

Seems as good a place to ask, what settings would everyone say are the best for gba vc games on a 1080p tv? Tried a bit of fire emblem last night and, well, I think my eyes were bleeding, wondering if there's a way to sort that out. Also is there any way to turn the gamepad screen off while playing one without using another controller?

The answer is no and no, I've played nearly all my VC games on Wii U on gamepad as they just look better then playing on a big TV.

Resident Evil Revelations is £7.99 on the eShop this week!
Has anyone played the Wii U version? Is it worth getting?
