| Yeah Wind Waker is my favourite game of all-time and even though I don't own that many I do have it on GameCube in European, American and Japanese along with it on WiiU in HD.
I've been messing around with the TG-16 games on the PC Engine Mini
Air Zonk, bright and big sprite shump which seemed decent enough Alien Crush, a tad disappointed in this as it's one game talked about a lot but then again I've been playing Demons Tilt Blazing Lasers, shump it's okay Bomberman 93, could be a banger Bonks Revenge, I played the easy stage which ended up being like bits of a whole game seemed like it be fun Cadash, Golden Axe type thing but much more RPG focused Chew-Man-Fu, this could be a hidden gem. It's like a puzzle games in bomberman like map but huge sprites where you move around orbs Dungeon Explorer, feel this is meant to be like gauntlet as it's up to five players but it looks awful JJ and Jeff, I feel I'm missing something in this platformer Military Madness, Advance Wars type which given the time could be good Moto Racer, Micro Machines type where you upgrade your car also controls are shite Neutopia, Zelda clone Neutopia II, Zelda Clone but guess ook's better then predecessor New Adventure Island, most of you should know this one Ninja Spirit, was going to say like shinobi but it has such so much going on that it might be closer to a shump in a way Parasol Stars, Bubble Bobble III if you didn't know Power Golf, it's golf not a lot to say Psychoais, shump which is topped right away by R-Type, the classic Solider Blade, bullet hell like a radiant slivergun Space Harrier, umm it's Space Harrier Victory Run, like Outrun but you have to change gear and upgrade your car. I didn't realize the gear bit right away that I did my gearbox in Ys, a JRPG which I've heard good things and as it's a CD game I thought it had cutscenes etc but doesn't seem to have them Lords of Thunder, this is a Super CD game which does have a cool opening and soundtrack it seems in this cool shump
Some I will go back to but it will be the PC Engine side which will be more interesting with the likes of Castlevania |

| There’s some really good stuff there that deserves your time and attention. If your PC Engine Mini has a rewind function, Ninja Spirit would be a great game to fire into. Bomberman ’94 too, that’s quality, but you might remember playing that to buggery as Mega Bomberman on the Mega Drive.
~
I just reached the Great Deku Tree island in The Wind Waker HD. Does the boat get faster later on? Also, controlling the Wind Waker instrument is a well-known pain in the arse for everyone, right? Otherwise, aye, this is good stuff. |

| No rewind features on the Mini's, just save states.
I've still not touched the PCE side of what's on the Mini but Bomberman 94 should be a goodun and language barrier isn't an issue like with a Snatcher. I did see Scullion has he's European Mini and a channel I follow in the states has his, that they must be going on sell soon to the general public.
From the review on the channel on YouTube, isn't many differences between the two Mini's unless you really want a dating sim from Kojima.
I can't remember using the wind waker to be any bother but again haven't played for a long time. |

| The last retro game I played was: This totally lives up to all the hype I've heard, it just feels great to play and even though I'm just getting to grips with the basics I can get by pretty well without knowing a tonne of combos (which is something I've never been good at) so if you are into fighting games even a little bit this is an absolute must play. This has put the new KoF on my radar even more but hopefully with SNK doing a new Samurai Shodown that they entertain the thought of doing a MoTW sequel. |

| I think Mark of the Wolves is brilliant. I’ve tried lots of games from other SNK fighting series – older Fatal Fury games, King of the Fighters, World Heroes, Samurai Shodown, The Last Blade, that sort of thing – but I think this is the best of them all. You're right, it just feels great to play. If anybody wants to play an SNK fighter that’s a little bit like Street Fighter, I’d say that Mark of the Wolves is the one to try.
~
I’m pressing forward with The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD. I’ve learned how to use the Wind Waker properly, and I’ve just got the Swift Sail after looking up a guide for how to make the boat go faster. I just put three pearls into some statues. I’ve got the feeling that I’m not very far into that game though. My early-ish impressions are very positive, though without ever having paid attention to it, even I know that Wind Waker in infamous for having its issues towards its end. |

| I definitely wouldn't have found it, no chance. I was spending too much time arseing about in the ocean, and I'm not bothered to go about chatting with every non-playable character. That's all I've used a guide for though, I've not used it for any maps, hearts or dungeons. |

| With lockdown being extended, having ten days of annual leave to use from Thursday and no better sense of what games I'd like to play, I've decided to just give myself as much variety as I can. I'm going to try and finish a different type of game on all the systems I've got set up. I've completed Klonoa 2 (a PS2 2D platformer) and Tony Hawk's 2 (a PS1 extreme sports game). I'm on the Earth Temple in Wind Waker HD (a Wii U action-adventure game), so not long to go with that. Once I'm done with Wind Waker, I'll move onto Resident Evil 4 on Wii, a third-person shooter/survival horror game. I'm well underway with a GBA run n' gunner, an N64 party game and a PSP rhythm action game. They'll all be finished this week. I'm then moving onto a Sega Saturn racer, a Game Boy strategy game, and a SNES shoot 'em up. DS and 3DS will get left until last. I'll need to think of something for Master System, Mega Drive, Dreamcast, GameCube and XBox 360. I'm having fun with this. |

| I'll try to help but I don't know what you own games wise
Master System, I don't know much about the Master System Wonder Boy Alex Kidd Sonic's as those are different to the Mega Drive games, Chaos was my fav Disney stuff The Ninja
Mega Drive Streets of Rage 1-3, because 4 is coming out NBA Jam TMNT Hyperstone Heist, Banger Castlevania NHL 94, I think this was the best one or was it 95 ether way those were so good that I bought NHL games for years (I might play some NHL 19 now as I have it in Xbox One from a mate)
Dreamcast Bangai-O Outtrigger, Arcade shooter like The Club but better Any 2K Sports game Code Veronica, proper survival horror Jet Set Radio
GameCube P.N.03, From what would become Platinum Billy Hatcher Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Proper stealth this but I would play the OG Xbox (I think it's BC on 360) version as this was downgraded on Cube Tomb Raider Legend, The first of the first reboot trilogy which is actually rather good and looks great on Cube from what I remember (one I want for my collection) Beyond Good and Evil, HD on 360 maybe a better option but this is an utter classic Eternal Darkness, a bonus 6th game for Cube as two games I'm saying to play on something else than the Cube
Xbox 360, going to keep this to physical Fable Anniversary, has the lost chapter stuff Enslaved, played a bit recently and it still looks great Deadly Premonition, This is a bad game but also so good because how bad it is also a pre/sequel is coming that you may want to play this before that The Orange Box, Mainly for Portal but maybe you've seen Alyx and want to check out Half-Life NBA Street Homecourt, Might have been the last good EA Arcade sports game |

| Cheers for the suggestions. You've given me a couple of ideas. I'm quite limited with my Master System and Dreamcast collections, as they're mostly made up of games with genres that I'm planning on playing elsewhere. GameCube and 360 will be no hassle though. |

| Yeah would be a lot overlap and I'm staying clear of RPG's as well which doesn't help as a Jay or someone be easy to say Phantasy Star IV. Shame you don't have a backlog or something set up as that would have made it easier especially if you have some digital 360 games. |

| I can't help you with the Sega systems, but I could offer a suggestion or two for Gamecube or Xbox 360.
I was thinking Billy Hatcher myself but I've spotted Mas has already suggested that. Failing that, how about Metroid Prime? A bonafide classic and I noticed you're not playing a shooter on any of your systems.
If you fancy a shooter on 360, can't go wrong with Halo 3 in my eyes. Cracking campaign in that one. |

| Thanks for the suggestions. I'm very familiar with Billy Hatcher, and I beat it when it was new. I don't think I enjoyed the whole game enough to want to replay it through from start to finish though. Metroid Prime is a great shout, "a bonafide classic" that I've not really put any time into, a series that I've barely scratched the surface with. Is it a long game though? I'm not really in the mood for another 30 hour game, like Wind Waker HD is turning into. I'd had the same idea as you about Halo 3, and I definitely had it, but I must have donated it to charity. Same goes for some of the Gears of War and Bioshock games. I've got the disc for Halo: Reach. Is that any good? I was rooting about my 360 collection yesterday, and found a combo disc for SEGA GT 2002 and Jet Set Radio Future in the box for Ridge Racer Unbounded. Don't know how I wound up with that or when I got it, but apparently that disc is backwards compatible with the 360. If everything works, Jet Set Radio Future is definitely getting played |

| Metroid Prime and Jet Set Radio Future are bangers. I'd give Sega GT 2002 a quick bash too, just because I've never explored that shortlived series. Sega racing games are usually excellent and I know this was their attempt at a Gran Turismo - seemed to get lukewarm reviews though.

| Metroid Prime is definitely beatable in about 15 to 20 hours for a first run but it really depends on how you like to play these sort of games so it probably could go longer than that.
EDIT:
Also speaking of Metroidvanias I finished my first ever play through of Symphony of the Night yesterday, I really enjoyed it and I can see parts that clearly influenced the Dark Souls games. Overall I still prefer Super Metroid way more because of the setting and the progression that game has but, yeah, SotN is without a doubt a classic. |

| MP1 is definitely not a 30h game the first time around. Not unless you ignore every secret, anyway. Also I remember it being quite tough, but then I was small at the time. |

How Long to Beat has Metroid Prime down as 15-20 hours depending on how many of the secrets you go for. Seems about right! And yeah, Halo Reach is worth a go. I still prefer Halo 3's campaign, but Reach's campaign is still good fun. |

| I'll likely go for Halo rather than Metroid Prime. With the games I'm playing and completing just now, they're all from that 2000-2003 era (Wind Waker, Jet Set Radio Future, Klonoa 2, Gitaroo Man, etc). While they're all really good, they share a lot of the same antiqued design, structure and - dare I say - gameplay. Metroid Prime is from that time too, I think.
The way round that might be to play Metroid Prime Trilogy with the motion controls. Is Metroid Prime very different on Wii than it is on GameCube? |

| I've started picking up some PS2 games as I don't really know why I started looking at PS2 stuff, even seen a few others post on twitter tweeting similar things. Only one bundle has come far with the next one being a tad more interesting maybe even something for bad games review thread.
Once they come, might post my PS2 (PS1 may be as well) collection in the collection thread instead of yesterday I bought, it's small but has some decent games I believe.
I do have an odd feeling PS2 stuff is about to go up in price just seems the right time is 20 years old roughly that 10-20 years back then likely got nostalgia for it now and may have disposable income to pick things up or it may be people are indoors & all they have as Wii prices have skyrocketed for instance that retro might be in at the moment.
Not really playing anything but will when these PS2 games come and looks like May is a dry spell for new games. |

| Played Bouncer yesterday good times were had, I'm not sure what to play next as my PS2 knowledge is just okay.
I'm thinking one of these next:
Clock Tower 3 Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII, Never played and coming of FFVIIR I'm keen Ghosthunter The Mark of Kri, I think this is on PS4 that could play on that as it look better have trophies etc Shadow of Memories, Charles Martinet voices a character in this
I bring up the PS4 I do have the first Jak game on that and might others for me worth checking out if you want to suggest one of those instead or something in general as I could look at buying it on PS2 if cheap enough |
