Yeah, ideally I'd like to be playing friend races - I've not tried those yet.

Yeah, that's a good idea. You, or failing that, sporkhead should host. It looks like there's going to be a few people playing who I'm not familiar with.

It'll just be races as battles are rubbish, I'll make sure to switch up the rules every so often though unless everyone wants to play the normal way.

That was some good racing folks, I had some really cool moments especially in that bob-ombs only GP.

Well that was a really fun session of MK8. Had some lag early on but it seemed to even out as we played, the bomb-omb race had me laughing and cursing in equal measure and I think we got to race on all of the tracks?

Nearly managed to make Royal Raceway my fortress if it wasn't for Dusty! Looking forward to next time.

Cloudtop cruise was the only one that we never done for some weird reason.

Last night I ended up doing the 64's Rainbow road 3 times (not that I'm complaining or anything just wasn't very random)

Whenever I try and join your lobby it seems to be empty. Can't see any of you online when clearly you are as you talk about it here?

You may have just been unlucky as quite a few folk were coming & going that night, I hope you weren't trying to join the tournament?

Kept seeing Balla on tonight and couldn't join him, or anyone else on my friends list. There seem to be a few other people having similar problems. Joining randoms is fine, but friends not able to.

I couldn't join friends either today. Not at all, not even until I got thrown off. Must be a bug on Nintendo's part.

So I tried racing against randomers, and got thrown off very quickly, which was almost certainly a bug on my connection's part.  

I've had that a couple times, but normally switching the game off and resetting my router fixes the issue.
