| It introduced Link and Villager to Mario Kart, and between 200cc and the F-Zero tracks papered over a very obvious crack. I agree with what's been said up there: best DLC ever. (I've not really played Splatoon.) |

| I agree that MK8 DLC is pretty much everything DLC should be |

| It's the manner in which they rolled it out that makes it great also especially from a company that are always told they're behind the times.

Also agreeing with Zero on the Splatoon dlc being up there with MK8.

| The difference is that MK8 was a perfectly full and rounded game before the DLC, whereas Splatoon relied on the updates to flesh it out. It was less optional DLC and more "here is the rest of the game". |

At the time of the "Splatoon lack of content" debate I did not agree with that statement & I still don't, for a shooter it was perfectly acceptable for me & not once did I think it was incomplete package. I still maintain that they rolled it out this way to keeps things fresh (hehe!) & the fact folk still play it a year later is proof that it worked. |

| They did roll it out to keep things fresh, and it did work.
But it was still content needed to bulk out the game and it was definitely there to complete the package. There wasn't even a ranked mode on launch! |

| I'm surprised and not surprised about the MK8 DLC being so loved, yeah I get it from Balla as Nintendo has lacked DLC with there games but we have had great story DLC which to me is way better then just tracks Forza did that years ago, maybe not as cool and not as cheap but it's nothing really new for the genre. |

| Definitely due some new DLC for this, hands down for me the best we've seen on a Nintendo console. I made the argue, net not long ago if they kept providing DLC for this and Smash then they wouldn't even need to think about a new game for a long time. |

| Mario Kart 8's DLC told a great story about a dog driving around on a mod scooter. |

| I still disagree but that's just me & with replaying games if they have that fun core gameplay longevity etc takes a back seat, also the variety in Splatoon for me didn't come from the multiplayers maps/modes it came from every match playing out differently. At the launch if I ever grew tired of playing the MP I'd drop back to the single player for a bit, anyhow I can see we aren't going to agree which is perfectly fine & since we are way off topic it's best we draw a line under it. |
