Seems as though there's a Cloverfield sequel on its way very soon - there's a teaser trailer already out.

I quite enjoyed Cloverfield. As much as it was a "one and done" film, I liked the premise. I'm glad they're ditching the first-person found footage style though. That's ran its course.

Aye I thought the first was Okay, this sequel look very interesting though & John Goodman is a hell of an actor.

I like seeing a film trailer that leaves me not knowing the whole film. Abrams sure knows how to market!

Aye, no idea trailers think they should show everything - surely the point of a trailer is to get you interested in a film and leave you wanting more? I've absolutely no desire to see Batman vs Superman because the latest trailer spoils the whole film. Cloverfield 2 - and Star Wars, if we're sticking on a JJ Abrams theme - is an example of a good trailer.

I thought the trailer kind of gave away that the woman is clearly being held captive for some reason but apart from that I still thought it was an excellent trailer.

I don't think that's too heavy of a spoiler - I mean, why is she being held captive? For John Goodman's sake or hers?

I don't think she is, I gather Mary Elizabeth's character is Goodman's daughter and outside is the aliens and she just wants out from being shut in since from the fist film.

True, just feel I'd be even more intrigued if I didn't know that going into the film.

This could easily take place at the same time as the first film just in a different city.

Saw The Revenant tonight. By and large the most intense couple of hours of cinema I've ever experienced, and absolutely worth a watch.

Just watched Kick Ass 2, people kept telling me it was rubbish so I never watched it. I actually really liked it. Once again the people have lied to me.

I think I disliked it because it had moved so far away from what I actually liked about Kick Ass in the first place. Also, rape jokes!

Followed Kick Ass 2 up with another Comic book movie sequel that reviewed poorly: Sin City 2. This was pretty crap though, as much as I love Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Eva Green's tits it wasn't enough to make up for the rest of it.

You guts all seen the stuff that 10 Cloverfield Lane wasn't a Cloverfield film but another film which has had a name changed (you can find the script online for that) that this film has been called a blood relative to the original.

Happens all the time in Hollywood. Die Hard started life as a sequel to Commando, Speed 2 was originally Under Siege 2, Die Hard 3 was a Lethal Weapon film, Pirates of the Carribean used the Monkey Island script... I'm sure it'll have stronger ties to Cloverfield than you might think because the script will have been edited a million times.

I seen this last night & can only agree with Jay, a bit overly long in places mainly the last half hour or so but still great stuff!

I can't decide if I want to see The Revenant or not. All these complaints about the length are putting me off a bit when I felt The Martian went on too long.

There's about fifteen minutes close to the end where I was thinking "hurry up, get to the point", but it delivers in a big way once it gets to said point.

Saw people chatting about this when I woke up. I'd assumed it would be December anyway, so this didn't bother me. Were we really expecting a Star Wars film to turn around in 18 months? We'd end up with a film about Rey climbing towers to unlock sections of the galaxy while collection 150 of Luke's Jedi Training manual pages in the wind.

I guess and we get a Star Wars based film at Christmas for least the next 5 years.

Yeah the delay is no big deal, it's only happening so the new popular characters get more screen time and that

Is that version of star wars directed by Ubisoft?
