| I've never played it before and well yeah that would be the only reason to get it so I can say that I have. |

| You could probably find it cheaper elsewhere to be honest, anyhow it really bugs me that this MM remake story won't go away I just don't get why folk are clamouring for it when there's other things Nintendo could be doing rather than wasting time on a remake. |

| I'm the same as Shanks never played when it first came out and never got around to playing on the cube disc with it on which also might be a bit dated.
I think people want it because they did OoT, so only seemed to make sense to do it and there a few people like me & shanks, younger people who might of missed it first time.
Also it's likely it's Grezzo wasting there (as you put it) time on it. |

| They will still be using Nintendo resources though & I'd rather see more important projects get the go ahead like say, F zero for example or a new Metroid not to mention this is already available on wii VC.
Also I wouldn't say its dated at all but I have more patience than most when it comes to older games. |

| I find most N64 fine, just some cough*andy*cough do.
Would you want Grezzo to do a metroid for example with there pedigree of OoT3D & Four Swords Anniversary.

| I think MM is either one of the most dated, or just simply one of the worst games ever. If they remake it I'll get to decide that fo' sho'. |

| In my opinion, it has aged - all N64 games have. But many of us have played it before! Bring it out on the VC for those who want to experience it, in all its blocky glory, at a price reflecting the emulation; and get Grezzo working on something else. The Terrifying Adventures of Professor Mendel, maybe? |

| Another reason it my come out is OoT3D has sold 3.8m and when that came out the 3DS had a much smaller install basis. So it might just make business sense to do it. |

No, I'd want a new Metroid as I detest most remakes as I can happily play the originals. - balla wrote:

It is out on (wii) VC and has been for some time which is easily accessed on wii U unless of course folk really really want to be able to play it on the gamepad. |

Depends what tech they can get out of it- if it can be re-used in some later project then it's worth developing it in some sure-fire success like a MM remake, making the new game effectively cheaper to make. That being said, I can't imagine they're going to get much out of Majora's that they didn't get out of Ocarina. |

| I meant a new metroid jas, I'm saying would you want a team who's only done remakes to have a go at something original especially a established series.
Depends on the game for me with remakes as most have been great like resident evil but I think your more on about ports / re-releases such as last of us which you can easily play the original. |

Sure, why not let them spread their wings a bit. - masofdas wrote:

Ports/remakes what ever they want to be called I don't like either of them, as I've said before, yes there are the rare cases where it works but I just don't want to be a part of encouraging a bad habit the games industry has picked up. |

| Isn't one of your fav Wii U games a port in monster hunter and see you like guacamelee which also is really just a port. |

| *sigh*
Not this again, its really unfair to call MH3U a port seeing as it has double (if not triple) the content that Tri did and MH always had a natural progression as the main gen games always get a G rank version.
As for Guacamelee I had never played it elsewhere before so that's why I got it on wii U. |

| That could be same reason for some with MM what if they only got a 3DS.
So more like a GOTY edition for monster hunter then. |

Does the Wii eShop still work, after the server shut-down? At any rate, the Wii U one is easier to navigate, and off-TV play is A Good Thing. |

It doesn't help there's so many takes on it with gaming there's remakes e.g. resident evil, reboots e.g. tomb raider, HD versions e.g. wind waker and enhanced ports e.g. last of us. Unlike films where there's just remakes such as robocop, director cut's on dvd/blu and older stuff comes to blu ray and that's about it. And it's all confused in the mix as Wind Waker to me is fine doing that for a 10+ year old game for a new generation of gamers to enjoy but then you got thing's like last of us which I've defended in the news thread. I won't be buying as I have no need for it but if Sony think that 3.2m PS4 owners couldn't of played as they didn't own a PS3 and they think they can sell it to them also the few that will double dip can you blame them they are business after all and it shown in the past these things sell or they wouldn't keep doing them. So vote with wallet I say but for everyone you don't like e.g. Last of Us there be one you do like e.g. guacamelee. @Balla I know Cappa has recently downloaded some wiiware games which he brought up in the yesterday I bought thread. |

Yes- the shut down only affected online play- remember it also needs to be there to verify Virtual Console sales. |

I'd just prefer it if they tried to sell me on something else, also regardless of the amount of new potential users they could sell to there is still much more who have played those games, also if they wanted every possible person to buy the games then the project(s) could have been delayed to be ps4 launch titles. Anyhow I've said all I'm going to on this subject & I feel like I'm repeating myself now so....... |

| Bit late, but Bravely Default is a million-seller, with 600k of those being western sales. Good news - maybe this will result in more JRPGs coming to the 3DS? The DS had loads of them. |

| You see were finally getting Disney Magical World in the EU in Oct, that's game 867 that month. I've heard good things about it but seeing when it's coming out might be a christmas list / money game. |
