| I'm not going to lie and say I don't see it as a way out of a Government I do not like but it isn't the only or even the biggest reason & it's certainly nothing personal against England/English people. (I stayed in the North east of England for five years not so long ago) I just think its our best way forward & its mighty annoying when the No campaign is effectively "you can't do it/its not sustainable/if you leave you's can't come back" things like that only push folk further towards a yes vote.
If we do gain independence then I honestly hope you's aren't lumbered with the Tories for too long. |

| What is the biggest reason, Jas? "Getting away from the Tories" is the best one I've seen from my English viewpoint. |

| How out of touch the current government is with resolving any problems we have, I'm just a firm believer in if you need a problem fixed you have to do it yourself. |

| And I presume by "current government" you mean Labour when they're in power as well, yes?
It's a tough one, and one I really want to comment on more than I can. But I can't, because I don't know what it's like to be Scottish and have to put up with Westminster. (Being English and having to put up with Westminster is frequently bad enough, especially if you don't live in London like wot I do.) All I can hope is that the Scots vote for the right reasons, and based on some of the comments (like that quote on the previous page) I'm doubtful they will.
Also please don't leave use down here with them, please please pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease. |

| My stance has always been that I think Scotland should vote yes, but I hope they don't for my own sake. |

| Trying to keep out of this but... I worry that, whichever way it goes, it's got the potential to generate animosity between people for no reason at all. I don't care about the economical or political reasons (pretty much everything both sides have told us is at best badly researched, and at worst a lie).
But... I did read an interesting article that indicated that this movement could at least give people the ability to move forward other political changes that would've perhaps been considered impossible, or at least a bit of a faff. |

| Kim-Jong Un is in favour of Scottish independence. If that's not a reason to stick together, I don't know what is!
(Yes, I do realise that this argument is along the lines of, "Hitler liked children, so we should kill all children.") |

| You'd think someone with a Politics degree who works for The Scottish Government would be more interested in this, but, no, he isn't. I'm completely and utterly scunnered with the overreactions of advocates of both sides of the referendum and the wider personal attacks and bitterness they've inspired. Life in Scotland is going to change either way September 18th pans out. |

| My Facebook feed is just a mess of caustic bickering and overreacting - I'm feeling pretty fed up with the debate too. Roll on next week - I've made my choice. |

| I've not really been keeping up with it all but if you vote Yes, how long would it take to go in affect as I guess Scotland will have to set up a health service etc and Will it be interdependence like with the States or more like Canada which is still part of the commonwealth and knowledges the queen.
And is there any point of calling it Great Britain with just England and Wales.

That's good news for Morgan (P.S. I don't actually know who this is, this was just a Facebook search, don't spam this poor woman or anything) |

| So it's the big day. Here's my view on it, as told by somebody else: http://michaelscoinsauthor.com/2014/09/a-plea-to-scotland/
But completely understand if you Scots want to put the distance between yourselves and Cameron.
(By the way: God may not agree with me.) |

| I'm in the fortunate position where I can see positives on either side, meaning regardless of the result I'm not going to be distraught if I don't get what I vote for. I'm just afraid for Scotland's future - this change is coming at a dangerous time for as I'll be entering the job market and generally beginning life as a "proper adult." |

The job market is dire as it is, so don't worry... It'll be a nightmare either way. It's our fault for being born in the 90s, really! |

| Hooray for having no future!
Placed my vote all of twenty minutes ago - some top Fife polling station banter courtesy of a man pointing at someone's dog tied up to a pole outside the polling station and going "haw, do you reckon he's here to vote too?" |

| #EpicBantz #BantzInYourPantz Anyway, the big headline blaring at me from the BBC News website is "Scotland votes No to independence from UK". Commiserations to Yes voters. |

| I can't say I'm not disappointed about the outcome but I just have to accept the decision, move on & hope that the promise of more power for Scotland isn't an empty one.

Yeah, exactly. I'm just not holding out hope considering that the reason devo max wasn't an option in the first place was solely because of ol' D-Camz, and the only constant promise that Westminster seem to be able to uphold is that we'd get more control over income tax. |
