Hmmm....wasn't his most recent hobby guessing the length of objects then measuring them to see how close he was? |

| I have the wiiu is doomed news again, right most of you know I work for ASDA. Anyway as you seen from various places even on here from Philips that ASDA have reduced the wiiu but not in store. Any we've just had a rebrief/fit in the entertainment section. We now have a big sign with xbox on green, playstation on blue and wii on white logos. So I go have a look 360 has the back with new signs above saying xbox, at the side and biggest playstation 3 with blue trim with playstation signs (like that sony ps4 press picture) but with hardly any vita. Then opposite that is used, 3DS, PC, and wii but no wiiu , so I asked where it was we no longer stock wiiu it's all been sent back. So yeah we stock a dead system in the wii but not nintendos current system. And this is a national thing aswell. |

| Ouch, does that stock being sent back include hardware as well?
Nintendo really need to get this system back into more retailers -- even its presence at dedicated stores like GAME is tiny. Otherwise the masses won't even know it exists by the winter holidays, particularly during gift buying. |

| Yep hardware went back 1st and is still being sold on ASDA website, but games did go back back. My GAME like i said before wiiu section is bigger then it used to be. But this is like the cube all over to again i can't ever remember seeing cube games any where, apart from gaming specialist and having to preorder everything but GBA almost every where and looks like the 3DS could be a bit like this. We still have a few things cheapest turtle beach headset for £15 which is normally £30odd , wiiu pro controller £20 but that's it and ounce it's gone it's gone. I don't know whats going to happen when Wii is dead dead and there's no point in stocking any more what will replace it. |

| I haven't seen a single Wii U in any UK supermarket yet. Then again, even the 3DS is doing badly in the UK compared to the rest of Europe.
It does seem an odd time to do this, though, given that the major games are arriving very, very soon. |

| I've found most supermarkets have a garbage games collection anyway but on the subject of Wii U, Nintendo really need to get advertising it, I don't think I've seen anything since launch and that itself was rarely seen, showcasing it in public at events and in shopping centres like they've done with Wii, Wii Fit and 3DS in the past may be the way to go I reckon. |

| Nintendo stuff has always had a poor presence in my local supermarkets, but never as bad as this. I can actually list all the Wii U stuff the Sainsbury's round the corner from me has: single copies Injustice, Lego City Undercover, NSMBU, ZombiU and Sports Connection, two copies of Nintendo Land, one Premium console, one Basic console and one Pro Controller. That's it. It's been the same for months. I don't know what's worse: that this is all they've got, or that this is likely much more than some of the other supermarkets. |

| My local ASDA has never been the same for games since it had a major refit about two years ago. It concerns me to learn that ASDA is sending units back though, on the eve of some big releases, as Axis says.
The more I think about it, the more I believe that Nintendo's situation regarding Wii U is unlikely to change before the remaining two next-gen consoles hit the shelves. Some people are holding on to see what they'll have to offer, and some have made their minds up already. The best thing Nintendo can do for now is to push advertising further, and heavily advertise any and all upcoming titles. I heard two Wii U ads during the Tour De France coverage today, and one for... Mario Kart 7. |

| I've seen a *load* of those big 'takeover' ads where they do all down both sides of a website as well as the banner on the top for Fire Emblem, Monster Hunter, Pikmin 3, you name it.
All on trueachievements.com, which is fairly cut-and-dried as an xbox site. |

| Activision has pledged extensive support for Wii U, bringing six new games - Call of Duty: Ghosts, Skylanders SWAP Force, Angry Birds Trilogy, Angry Birds Star Wars, SpongeBob SquarePants: Plankton's Robotic Revenge and Wipeout Create & Crash.
So anyone bothered about any of these. |

| Yessss. About time. Although to be honest, in this era where two home consoles should be winding down and another is just getting started, I'd expect any decent game to sell well. TLoU has been on top for how long now? |

| I just tweeted saying it's great news about pikmin 3, to get a reply saying is it. In a dry patch off gaming a big Nintendo exclusive (which still kinda niche unlike mario or a zelda) couldn't take top spot from a game that has technically been out for like ever. To me No 2 is good due to the lack of Wii U owners still, wondering how Wii U's sells have been since pikmin 3 has been out. |

With ACNL in the top five as well, could this be the Nintendo renaissance we've been waiting for? Yes, I know that Minecraft beat P3 to no. 1, but Pikmin is still a reasonably niche Nintendo franchise compared to Mario or DK, and Minecraft is... well, Minecraft. |

| We'll see where Pikmin 3 is next week, and the week after. It's that sort of game that I'd imagine that most Brits who want it have already got it by now. |
