I really do wish the DSiWare game Sujin Taisen had placed as its the best number based puzzle game I've ever played (Yes even better than Picross) it puts most retail puzzlers to shame as well.

Right guys - Starfox Command: definitely has strategic elements, but there's plenty of shooting involved too. Thoughts?

Aye that's true, I'll always remember the cracking online games I had with sporkhead, andyman & Dusty just hilarious stuff, especially when you move someone's tile or steal all their points from a combo they were setting up.

I'd possibly edge it towards shooting.

Can't believe nobody else voted for Picross 3D, looking at the other games which were voted for, I stand by my earlier claim that the DS has aan incredible amount of great Puzzle games.

Picross 3D got edged out of my top five once I'd remembered M&M and Ghost Trick, as did Zoo Keeper.  Definitely a great puzzler, but as you say, the 3DS had so many!

This wasn't one of them, however.  Not for me.  Picked it up, played a few levels, but it never clicked; which is odd, as I'd have thought that a number-based game with stereotypical Japanese trappings would have been right up my street, but there you go.  

My four votes are just about ready to send off, and Command's one of them.  The shootybang flying was definitely the meat of the gameplay, and since that's the criteria we used to send Ghost Trick into puzzlers, I'd definitely include Command this week.  Besides, what's not manly about this:

Aye, the only reason your gif was missed out was because I forgot to include the link to it in my little Notepad file I've got keeping this all together. I'll remember for next time though.  

Wow to Curious Village placing - I thought that if we'd only have one Layton game, it'd be Pandora's Box! Ghost Trick a worthy winner and good to see Might & Magic up there.

Now, the only two shmups I've played were for about twenty minutes apiece.  This could be a difficult week!

Lost Future was my pick, and the only Layton to place in my votes.

That I didn't, Jaster.  Maybe I didn't give it its full due. I'm not a great online multiplayer fan though.

Apologies for the double post folks, but just had a decent idea put to me over PM - what would be your idea on a DSiWare-only week? Any game released on DSiWare could be eligible. Thoughts?

Hmm, could do.  Does this mean that DSiWare games would be exempt from all other weeks?  Not too much of a problem so far, as none of our top five puzzlers were DSiWare and I don't think any major MANLY (imagine it's bold and red) games are.  

Or are we suggesting it as another "compilation week", before the final top ten?  I think I'd prefer that, actually.

EDIT: Not that it would matter either way for me. Having scanned Wikipedia's list, I've realised that I have exactly one DSiWare game.

Yeah, I'd slot it in probably before RPGs if there was enough interest for it. Would be pointless if people only have one or two DSiWare games though.

There were a few crackers. Though actually, I don't know how many of the games I'm thinking of were dsiware and not 3ds....
