Not too torn up about that - Arkham Origins had signs of being rushed and I don't want that to happen again. |

| I'd be interested who's working on it with the people that have left ND and that TLoU team are now the leads on Uncharted, does that mean the left over team of uncharted are working on this unannounced PS4 game. |

| It feels like Naughty Dog are becoming the gaming equivalent of Christopher Nolan, where they apply a certain style and quality to their games but they're creating a new IP each time. Which is a Good Thing. |

I remember being negged to hell on Eurogamer for making that exact same point about David Cage (and also about Naughty Dog, but it was in the comments for a story about Cage)- that whichever Cage game EG were uncritically wanking over discussing wasn't a "new IP" as such, but effectively "David Cage 5" as a reply to a comment along the lines of "See, publishers? New IP *does* sell!" |

| Gamine news that isn't E3 related resumes
Capcom for sale maybe.
The May NPD's are out, Number 1 selling game in the USA was Watch Dog's but Number 2 was Mario Kart 8 which was only out for 2 day's. And if you look at the individual SKUs it's number 3. Also Wii U sales were up over 85% compared to April and 90% compared to May 2013. |

| Bad news for fans of first party Vita games. Sony have basically thrown in the towel. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=840044 - Quote :
- Do you think the Vita then will be getting fewer first-party games, I asked.
"I would say, yes, that's correct," Yoshida said.
- Quote :
- Yoshida said Remote Play has also taken a little bit of pressure off of Sony to make first-party Vita games.
Expected, I guess, but as someone that wants to be convinced about the Vita, it is still sad to hear. |

| Whatever you think about the lack of female characters in AC: Unity controversy, (personally, I think its overblown), you have to admire the way the Sunset Overdrive devs announcing that you can play as a very AC-esque Female Assassin in their game. To add the irony, the games are out on the same day. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-06-20-you-can-be-a-female-assassin-in-sunset-overdrive?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=socialoomph |

| CVG has got a bit of a reprieve. http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/cvg-saved-but-at-a-cost/0134363 - Quote :
Staff have been informed that the writing team will be cut to three. There are five full-time staff members writing for CVG UK, with additional resource in the US and Australia. Parent company Future will then review the situation with CVG in December.
Last month the firm announced it was considering closing the website (along with several others) and put all its staff on consultation as part of sweeping changes at the business.
The firm had proposed to close CVG and put all its focus on Gamesradar, which is the bigger brand in the US.
However, the groundswell of support following the initial news has made Future reconsider its plans, and now MCV understands that it won't close CVG immediately.
A high number of media brands had tried to acquire CVG, which has also convinced Future it is a brand worth keeping alive.
The business will then review the website's performance in December.
There's no word on whether Edge-Online or the official magazine websites have also been given a reprieve. We've contacted Future for comment.
I don't visit CVG much, but it sucks for anyone to lose their job. The fact that they're going to review it again in December doesn't really bode well though... |

| Hm. I wonder who's being saved. I'd also be interested in seeing who wanted the brand...
Incidentally, the guy they bought CVG off in the first place has died. |

| The podcasts are reason enough for any gaming fan to want CVG to keep going. They're great fun.
Also, Forumotion has an annoying tendency to curtail threads after they reach the 990 post mark (see the original Chat Thread), so I'm locking this here. Next person with some non-Wii U or 3DS news, feel free to start up News Thread 2. |
