Confession time: I didn't really get into it. I think I left it at the second boss. I liked what I played though.

Until there's Witch Touching 3D, any Top 3DS Games list is null and void.

Fire Emblem Awakening (something me and Andy agree on) would be my Number 1, with Kid Icarus Number 2 and Ocarina of Time 3D in at 3 then the rest in some order.

Don't think that would be my top 25.

This actually sounds a lot better from IGN, Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing are shoe ins for most people's top 3 I would think and Super Mario 3D Land was my favourite 3DS game until those two came along. Ocarina of Time is an interesting one though, it's definitely the best game but not one that I'd ever consider to be the best on 3DS purely because it is a remake.

I wouldn't mind if Ghost Recon or Pilotwings pushed a few of those off... Colours 3D? Really?!

So I gave my reason why I would have Ocarina of Time 3D so high as it made me want a 3DS, but is a bit iffy as it's a remake. Didn't Ocarina of Time 3D do well on the 1st anniversary vote though, so didn't really matter last time we had a vote it was a remake. Plus we all seem to have a opinion on what's should be up there but no one really wanted to do a 2nd birthday vote really. And now IGN have done a few top 25's, looking back at PS3's 7 off the top 10 were exclusives. I can't wait to see the 360's top 25 as it's number 1 game could be like the 15th best PS3 game.

OoT was second in my first anniversary voting! It'd come substantially lower in retrospect, though, mostly for being a port of a game I've already played. KIU would still be doing well.

Definitely agree with this despite spending quite some time using colors 3d I wouldn't put it anywhere near a top 25 gaming list because it isn't a game, however I completely agree with their placement of Kid Icarus.

Oh dear god you're right, no Ghost Recon? They need to remove this top 25 from their website immediately. 

No Hydroventure in that list? flips table

No mention of Ridge Racer, Castlevania, Snake Eater, or Dream Team Bros either.  

Great that Pullblox got in there, ace game. New Super Mario Bros 2 over Mario Kart 7? Nope. Not any day of the year. I'd also be placing Luigi's Mansion 2 higher, like most others here.

Hey! Here's an idea! Maybe we should do our own top 25 li... gun shot ()

What would be fun for 3DS/ Wii U/ Any current console would be a rolling Top 25. Like there's be a top 25 in the first post, then people could make one change per post (swap #3 and #5 or I'm gonna put this in and that will push this and that off the end.) That would save us doing one every few years or whatnot, it would basically be like the bit at the end of every issue of NGamer.

It's a good idea Buskalilly, but just how would we actually do it. I guess we do a vote get a top 25 then when a game comes out. We give it a month let's say to play etc then go back in the thread and have a discussion if it should be the top 25 and where. Only problem is not everyone play's right away.

Dusty I was championing a 2nd birthday 3DS vote but it kept getting pushed back that I decided to scrap it and make it biannual. So unless anyone does decide to do one before me it won't be done till the 3DS's 3rd birthday.

I find the Kid Icarus fans would get annoyed by me constantly swapping it out of the top 5.

Presumably there'd be some rule against changing a game's rank more than a certain number of times. I'm not sure KIU would make a forumwide top 5 anyway, up against FEA, MK7, LM2, SM3DL and ACWW. (Would make mine, of course.)

Tbh I'd rather we stuck to the standard voting threads.

I wouldn't do it until there were no other votes going on, but I imagined myself just posting my own top 25 than letting us go from there. One change at a time, have to post a reason, maybe one person can't move/ remove/ add the same game twice? I dunno. I'm just chatting. I might as well be stoned.

I'd suggest splitting top 25 lists by system as I don't think a single list for all systems does any of them any justice, there are just way too many quality games around, even just counting current systems to be able to cram them in to a mere 25 slots. Maybe a top 15 for each system could work?

Been waiting a while to tackle me on this one have you?  I never owned a DS, and only own about ten DS games, so couldn't really contribute to the DS voting thread. I would have partook in the Wii one, but it was already in full swing before I paid any notice to it, didn't seem worth joining in so late.

Lurking, watching, waiting...  (Don't worry, I'd do the same to anyone else, as Silver can testify.  ) Athrun and Buska got in on the last week of the Wii vote, so that's no excuse!  Although fair enough about the DS vote: didn't think there was anyone who didn't own the portable prince on the forum, but life is full of surprises.

All a lot of work, how we are doing it now is the best way.

Wii vote done at the end of it's life, same with DS which get's us the 10 best games of it life.

Then with the Wii U do a 1st Birthday Vote in November then see next year If it's wise do a 2nd birthday or not.

With 3DS a 3rd birthday will be done then the 5th birthday mostly properly to spread it out. So make it Wii U 1st 2013, 3DS 3rd 2014, Wii U 3rd 2015, 3DS 5th 2016 and so fourth

Not sure about 360 & PS3 could be done now or soon but MS say there supporting the 360 up-to 2016 with over 100 games (FIFA 14, 15, 16, 17 is just 4 of the 100) and Sony still goes on about 10 year life cycle for PS3 which would make it 2016-17. So it's deciding best time to do it for them it's unlikely something of note will come out for the 360, PS3 after this year but still could do and be a top 10 quality game we missed.

I can't see know reason retro / last gen systems couldn't have vote for the best games but being a small group could be hard to say to pick top 10 Sega Saturn Games, maybe generation vote so best games of Dreamcast, PS2, Xbox, GameCube generation could work.

Sorry, that is what I meant, if I want clear.

I wouldn't do it if nobody fancies it, I was just thinking out loud. Or on screen or whatever.

Still have no urge to play/start any game after finishing the amazing Rayman legends.......

Generally, where I've seen this achieved well elsewhere is you start with a list of games, then each game has n number of points.

Each day, each user can then take one point away from a game, and give it to another. When a game has zero points, it is removed from the list and the last game standing wins.

That being said, I've only ever seen it work with lists of no more than 20 or so subjects- although a system of knockout heats tend to work, too.
