| @Mas There's a big difference between "not for you" & "rubbish" though. |

| That's why I put in the same context as Andy's love for Journey. Like I said Mario Galaxy I don't like which I would go "not for you (me)" but HL series "rubbish". |

| There is definitely a difference, Journey is bad as a GAME. You walk in a straight line for a while looking at average-slightly pretty environments. There is no story, there is nothing to do but get to the end. It's not a game and is therefore rubbish as a game. I'm sure as a piece of art it's lovely, but I'm a gamer, not an artist. |

| Journey is a GAME just because it's different doesn't make it not a game, pong has no story and all you do is play game of tennis over and over is that not a GAME then. I said when i did my last game I finished bit it is more art then game which it is but still a game the art direction is part of the game. Also thatGAMEcompany who made it want to make that are thought provoking & emotional GAMEs, journey did do that one of hate though for you Andy.
but before we keep going around in circles, my opinion on the half life series is still that it's rubbish and i won't be playing any of them and that I couldn't careless about number 3. I will hold slight judgement on 3 as it might be great but highly doubt it. I do own number 1 on dreamcast though.
Also yes Buska |

| So toilet water and bleach are drinks just because they're liquids right? It wasn't thought provoking it was mind numbing. Pong is like the most basic definition of a game, there's a winner and a loser, you compete for points. Journey would work just as well if it was a movie, there's nothing particularly interactive about it. |

I don't get how you can fob it off as "rubbish" without even recognising the appeal for other FPS players. Case in point: I've never particularly got on with Animal Crossing because it began to feel too much like a Facebook game for me, but I can totally understand why people get so into it. I'd never pass off a game as rubbish - especially one that I've barely played a la you and HL2. |

| But I don't see any appeal in at all though. Hence why I brought up Mario Galaxy and Fallout 3 I don't like either but I can see the appeal of them and why people like them alot but HL2 nope can't see it.
Journey was about the journey of life etc to me it's one of the best things to come out of the 7th gen consoles.
Maybe PONG was bad example then.
Also cappa did put toilet water as a snack. |

| What would Super Mario Galaxy look like with a lick of HD paint? I think it's a testament to the visual design of SMG that the HD doesn't add much to an already pretty game - having said that, that starstream coming off Mario through the launch star... |

| Justifies what I said about SMG at the time, I think - games can be beautiful even without HD. |

| My biggest problem with it being in SD is that it looks horrific on an HD TV, the games can look as nice as possible but they hit my TV and get butchered. I'm not sure I'd have survived some of the more ugly Wii efforts on my HD TV. |

| SMG looks fine on my TV running via component at 480p. |

| He might not have component cables, which can run the Wii at 480p but I've also got mine running at a forced 60hz.
Plus in that video it doesn't look that much different but then again it's a SD running in HD not a HD SMG. And why has a video like that only just gone up, you've been able to run the Wii in HD for years with certain adapters, I can even run my dreamcast in HD if I want to. |

| I have a decent enough component cable but I don't think it's possible to make SD games look as good on an HD TV as they are on SD. |

| Yeah they never look that great, I said it looked fine not unplayable or what not like my mega drive which is just hideous on the HDTV. |

If I recall correctly, it's because the Dolphin emulator's managed to emulate Wii games at a higher resolution now - that's what that video is running from I think. |

Wasn't that a while ago? Haven't Challenge ditched their games show? Either way, no, I didn't. |

| It was spread over the last two weeks, it was okay. Nolan North narrated it and it had nothing to do with previous gaming shows on the channel it was just a one off.
The top 3 were Bioshock, Link to the Past and Super Mario Bros. |
