How does this work for our international chums, if they're playing? Fifteen of our Queen's English Pounds in local currency, or fifteen of local currency? Umm... we'll wait and see if any want to join in first! I suppose the fairest way would be to convert from GBP. |

| Will the recipient know who sent them the gift, or will it be anonymous? |

| I think the idea is that the gifts are anonymous (and then most of the senders will out themselves anyway, unless there's a firm rule stating otherwise). |

| I'm going to leave it anonymous and I think that's how we should send them out but I have no beef with people announcing themselves after the presents are opened. |

| Yeah it's secret santa afterall, if I you were sent a cool present then wanted to thank the person then you should say if you sent it.
What could you buy for AUS $15, if you were to use your own currency. |

The restraining order won't allow that though. |

| Just a thought: maybe we could mark parcels with the code 'GNSS' (GNamer Secret Santa) or something similar. If you're like me and you receive random eBay parcels from time to time, this'll mark them out to us and keep the contents a mystery from prying eyes (I had three parcels go missing in the mail in a short space of time last year). |

| We're on eleven Santa's now. One more and that's twelve, which feels like a nice Christmassy number. |

This won't be much fun for you will it? You're going to know who sends you your gift - Not-so Secret Santa. Also, for those of us on social media, perhaps don't mention when we send out our present. If the recipient sees a message about it being sent, and receives an GNSS a few days later, it'll give the game away. |

| I had that thought actually. Hopefully people have that much common sense though... And of course, tweeting when you get shit is fine. I won't have the secret element but other than that it is fine. Maybe I could get an irl friend to do it for me? |

| Just a thought. If you buy an item for say... £9.99, should you try to make the other £5 up with knick-knacks? |

That was my intention. I'm still trying to decide what sort of thing to buy, not sure whether it should be 'serious' or 'silly'. Also: what happens if we end up with an odd number of participants? |
