Out of interest, is anyone bothering with recorded mail? I have several excellent reasons to be wary of regular postage, especially after last year's track record.

I've never had any reason to take umbridge with Royal Mail, but if you feel like its necessary . . .
If you're posting any time soon I don't think you'll need to do much more than send a standard first class parcel.

I think I'm going to risk it this time. I'm expecting to take my trip to the general post office sooner rather than later.

I'll be recording mine, I've had problems in the past, one which resulted in me basically giving away a copy of Metroid Prime Trilogy.

Ordinarily I loathe the wrapping of Christmas presents, but this time I took immense pleasure in doing so. I tried to put myself in the mind of the eager recipient.  

And no, this is no indication of when my parcel will be posted. It'll be done under my own steam.

I love wrapping up presents when they're decent presents I've put some thought into, and this'll be no exception I'm sure

I know for sure that 5 presents have been sent/ received.

My present made it yesterday! It looks like it's been through a woodchipper during transit, but I think the contents are fine. I've made a point of not staring into the gash in the parcel paper.

The excitement is unbearable.

I think my present has turned up but was at work , and couldn't fit through the door. So will be picking up tomorrow morning from the sorting office.

I have generally good service, but I've been on the receiving end of several cock-ups over the years. Last Christmas being the most memorable, when our household had three inbound parcels go missing.

Right, I've had a proper look through all my private messages and this thread and can definitively say that 9 out of 11 gifts have been sent, with two left where I haven't heard from the sender or the recipient yet. Pretty good going so far guys! Hopefully this will be a grand annual tradition.

Fingers crossed for the remaining two people! There's still a wee bit of time.
