- Spoiler:
After rining the first bell, I just got stuck; I opened the door in the forest, but then I get totalled by the wizards and transparent doods. So I've ventured into the catacombs. I take it the guys with the lanterns are connected in some way to the skeletons rejuvenating?
- Advice for Jimbob:
Correct! You'll have noticed that some of the skeleton stop reviving once you've killed the lantern guys - those are necromancers and I think certain groups of skeletons are tied to each necromancer. There's actually a way to kill the skeletons without needing to take out the necromancer, but you'll need to poke about the forest some more to find out how to do that.
Once you've finished poking about the catacombs and the forest, I suggest checking out the Undead Burg again - in particular, near the bridge where that dragon was skulking about. Hopefully you'll find something there.
- Wait - what?:
I did hear the blacksmith saying there was something useful in the forest to help out with the catacombs. But so far I've had more luck cheesing past the skeletons and killing the necromancers than I have trying to make a dent in the humans of the forest. I (this is terrible) legged it passed the dragon on the UB bridge, and got the bonfire there. There was not much there other than a shortcut. Or so I thought...

| - More advice!:
There's another route - an easier route - to take in the forest. I suggest trying there!
Also, another hint for the dragon bridge - I suggest trying the end closest to the Undead Burg, not the Undead Parish.

- Goddammit:
I swear... I SWEAR... I tried that door on the end of the bridge before, when I had the basement key. Swear. Welp, had a quick go and got my arse kicked by Cow-Man, but that way next time methinks.
Thanks, Jay; I know I should do it myself, but I think I was about to play the "prat version of Rimmer" there.

| See, this is the bit that's weird for me. I always went down there as soon as I got the basement key; which is why I always did the bells the wrong way round to most people. |

| I brought the game up in the News thread as it was shown at Sony's conference and I think its PS4 only. I said from the trailer it looked like Souls X Onimusha with a bit of Otogi which From Software made.
I don't know if this link will work and if it will be for EU but there is a Soul's III BETA which is not a BETA, BETA for PS4 only

That does look pretty interesting & I quite like the feudal Japan setting. Short trailer here That DSIII beta page doesn't work for me, I get as far as the enter your date of birth bit where clicking "OK" does nothing. |

| That Nioh game is Shu's most anticipated PS4 game due to it's similarities to Souls & Bloodborne which he has a platinum in. |

| Might be good news for Jas and bad news for Drunka but Shuhei hopes that From Software and Sony's relationship continues and hope to bring my games from FS to PlayStation formats be it sequel or new IP. |

| I've got DSII and III plus DeS to play yet. By the time I'm done with them, I ought to be ready to bag a PS4. |

| After all the stuff you hear about BLIGHT town, once you get there it's really not that bad. |

| It's pretty bad! I think I've been spoiled by the sequel, assuming there - In case this is a spoiler; I think anyone who cares will already know all this anyway:
would be another bonfire between the stone bridge thing and Queen Spider-Tits. Nope. I'm sure I've missed some kind of shortcut, but... nope. Nope nope nope. Got down there once with 1 flask left. Nopey nope nope.

| You'll be happy to know that there is another bonfire down there. Poke around the swamp again. I'm surprised you missed it to be honest! |

| Guess what I just found! It took me, like, an hour to get down there - you can't blame me for heading directly for the bright tall thing in the distance! Right, that's enough for today. Cheers Jay |

| Doesn't the path to Quelaag's Domain lead around the side of the swamp past that bonfire? It's been a fair while so I can't really remember myself. |

| It's on the opposite side of the swamp if you were standing at the entrance to Quelaag's. |

| I took a dumb route because I was panicking a bit. When I accepted that I was going to get poisoned (which is one of those things Dark Souls does, and I still have a little trouble "getting" that), and it didn't drain my health like mad, I did a more sensible wander. |
