| I'm sure we've all heard the AOW podcast with Punk by now & I have to say it's changed my mind about the situation a lot, even how I view wwe as a company, now I had heard many a horror story about backstage politics etc but the stuff he had to endure with his injuries is absolutely crazy. No wonder many wrestlers have ended up with severe mental health problems as he mentioned himself it's mind boggling that they don't have a wrestlers union & I really hope this can change in the near future. ---- In more local wrestling related news I thought TCK might want to give this event a look. http://www.bcw-wrestling.com/news/2014/11/17/no-blood-no-sympathy The card looks great too especially the Killie one. |

| Cheers for the consideration, Jaster, but I moved up to Aberdeen in the summer - sadly I'll not get to any Ayrshire events any time soon!
~
Although I'm not really keeping up with WWE too much at the moment, I struggle to think of a time over the last fifteen years where there's been less star power than now. I saw the SmackDown main event - it was Ryback and Erick Rowan Vs. Seth Rollins and The Big Show. EH?!?! That indy card Jaster mentioned had matches that looked better!

Ahh that's a shame you won't be able to make the Ayrshire show. --- Aye that smackdown main event was terrible and the first match of the night (Harper VS Ziggler for the IC title) should have replaced it, I honestly don't like how they've kept Kane & show with Rollins when he could be pulling a lot more heat with just Noble & Mercury by his side....it's almost like they don't fully trust in him being main event guy. There's still a lot I enjoy about wwe but I have felt at times that I'm watching out of habit, luckily I'm loving my ICW on demand subscription & that's where I'm getting most of my wrestling fix at the minute. - masofdas wrote:

I don't find it weird at all as he's been doing Brazilian jiu jitsu for a long while. --- I don't get the folk who are saying he will get pummeled as he's "scrawny" etc well here's a some info for ye, the best fighters in MMA aren't big muscle bound guys it's skill and mentality that makes for the best fighter so if he trains properly then I see no reason why he can't be successful. |

| Yeah I know he will be fighting at either 175 or 180, so guys will be the same size anyway but you don't go from nothing right to the big leagues. I know brock did but he had a proper wrestling background though. |

| I doubt 2014 will be remembered as a "VINTAGE!" year for WWE, but the last RAW gave me reasons to feel optimistic. For a change, it mostly felt like highlights, but in particular Daniel Bryan's return and Ryback's immense promo (finally, something with depth and a story!) made it a RAW to remember.
Fantasy booking here, but I don't think anyone will settle for anything other than Brock Lesnar Vs. Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania. With support from Triple H Vs. Sting, an Undertaker match, John Cena Vs. Rusev and Randy Orton Vs. Seth Rollins (if these are the directions they choose to take), I think WrestleMania could live up to it's own hype. |

| It was a very good Raw indeed, I still honestly don't get the appeal of Ryback & the plodding promo of his story done nothing to change that. --- Those are some good WM matches with the exception of Rusev/Cena & something from Taker, as much as it'd be weird not having a taker match at WM with the streak gone I don't see how they can make it as exciting/shocking as his previous bouts. In Scottish wrasslin business my tickets for Barramania arrived the other day. |

| Last year, we made predictions for how certain events would unfold through the course of 2014, and threw a few educated guesses in there. Mine were a bit rubbish... - Quote :
CM Punk wins the Royal Rumble and wins the WWE Championship for one last time.
Brock Lesnar to be unsuccessful in his early attempts to win the WWE Championship, but go on to win MitB.
The Shield to break up, with Rollins and Reigns going babyface and Ambrose to be this year's Dolph Ziggler (as in 'sure-fire thing they can't f**k up...only for WWE to go f**k up)
Kurt Angle and Sting to WWE, or at least in the process of finishing up with TNA.
AJ Styles to resign with TNA after no serious interest from WWE.
The Ultimate Warrior goes into the WWE Hall of Fame.
The Usos win the Tag Titles at WrestleMania.
Batista/Cena to headline SummerSlam.
Dolph Ziggler leaves WWE.
Antonio Cesaro, Damien Sandow and 3MB turn babyface, Christian, Kofi Kingston and Sheamus turn heel.
Sting to WWE...and that was it. Anyone want to try one for this year? I'll let youse go first. |

| I'll wait till we've all laughed at each other's 2014 predictions before chiming in with my 2015 predictions. Speaking of last year's, here's my horrible attempt at being Nostradamus. - 2014 predictions.:
CM Punk to enter the Rumble at #1, go on to win the whole thing and the championship at Mania.
Well, he entered at number one... but the rest, holy shit SO WRONG.
Daniel Bryan will close out 2014 at WWE champion.
I don't think he would have even if he wasn't injured - he'd have likely been fed to Lesnar in lieu of Cena if he was healthy.
The IC championship will be raised to a similar level as where the WHC was previously, with your Zigglers, Sandows and Rhodes of the world pursuing it.
Erm, maybe? Obviously Sandow and Rhodes aren't going after it, but Ziggler has... whether or not it's more important than it was is a matter of opinion, I suppose.
Wyatt Family will dominate the tag team division.
Nope, the Usos did.
US title will be hotfooted around Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns post-Mania, with Reigns getting the Mania win during the Shield's breakup match. The title will be passed to an NXT callup by the year's end, likely Sami Zayn.
Really wrong here. An NXT callup though - Rusev counts there, right?
Paige and AJ will spend the summer feuding over the Divas Championship.
Well, they did eventually, just not during summer.
Kurt Angle will come back for his final wrestling run at WWE.
RESIGNS WITH TNA JESUS CHRIST PACK IT IN KURT
The yearly cull of lesser talent will include some NXT nobodies and lesser talent like Curt Hawkins, Yoshi Tatsu, Ezekiel Jackson (who is surely redundant now that Big E has been called up).
This was true, and all 3 guys I named were culled too.

| Yeah, let's do Rumble picks. How many should we have each, 2? Also, I'm feeling like some 2015 predictions! - Spoiler:
Roman Reigns will win the WWE WHC this year. Safe as fuck, but I want at least one correct prediction this year!
Seth Rollins will close out 2015 as champion.
The Dudley Boyz will show up in some form this year.
Adrian Neville will win the United States championship.
Cesaro and Tyson Kidd won't win the tag belts (please be wrong.)
Zack Ryder will be released.
Paige will close out 2015 as Divas champion.
Kevin Nash will go into the HOF.
Bray Wyatt will win the Money in the Bank briefcase.

| Nah it's only highlights like you get on the website for Raw and Smackdown. It is a very generous amount of content definitely, I've started out with the Monday Night Wars for now before maybe moving on the Legends House, I've even been tempted to watch Total Divas thanks to WWE Network.
I'm finding it a tough call who'll win the rumble, I'm almost certain it's between Bryan and Reigns but I'd love to see someone like Ambrose or Wyatt win although I think the latter is very unlikely, it's not often a heel wins the Rumble. |

| It is quite refreshing that it could be either of those two names you mentioned though Smurfy, especially considering the last two Rumbles have been pretty obvious.
By the by, are you wanting in for the Rumble numbers pick? |

| The RAW & SD on the network is from December and Total DIVAS is season 1 so it's a bit behind but that might have something to do with Sky over here.
And I don't think main event or superstars on it. |

By the by, are you wanting in for the Rumble numbers pick? Yep sign me up please. There's also the small factor of Orton who's making his no so quiet return seeing as he's on the poster who could maybe win for a Wrestlemania match against Rollins, last match they had was fantastic. |

| I've seen some folk say this Rumble is going to be a predictable one in terms of the winner but because of returns like Orton as Treesmurf just mentioned I genuinely can't call it, they have so many ways they can take the WM main event. |

| Have had a few years off of WWE, but bought the Network and I'm loving it! I've been alternating between 1998 WCW and WWF. My thoughts may not hold much weight as I've only started watching Raw since Sting entered - before that it was when The Rock returned! So I'm not too keen on the current product, although I like Ambrose, Bryan and Dolph. I can't get my head around why Seth Rollins is main eventing Royal Rumble - he's so dull.
I can't believe Brock has been champion since August. It's annoying that he is rarely defending it, but the belt has regained some value because of it. Unless it's Cena, whoever beats Brock for the title will go over in a big way. Seeing as Brock is portrayed as near-invincible, it may be that a crafty win is in order: perhaps Undertaker's music with the BONG hits on Raw a few weeks before Wrestlemania and causes Brock to become paranoid or distracted. I suppose Ambrose could work that twisted, crafty gimmick more than Bryan. Reigns has the look, but not convinced of him on the microphone. |

I think he's a really solid heel, and besides Triple H, WWE are really lacking in the top heel department. They've turned Orton babyface, Kane and Big Show aren't up to it, Bray Wyatt gets cheered more than any actual heat, but Rollins actually does the job. Oh, by the by, are you up for being in our Royal Rumble pools this year? Just a bit of a fun - and I'll give the winning number a £5 Amazon giftcard, just for a laugh. |

| I actually really rate Rollins as a foil for the other two ex Shielders. Ambrose is probably my favourite guy in the WWE right now and his feud with Rollins was ace.
Also, count me in on the Rumble gamble. |
