| I honestly shield grab mostly rather than just going for a normal grab, maybe because I initially didn't know there was two ways to do it & the shield way is now the natural way for me. |

| Spent a bit of time with the demo - thanks for the code, Dusty! - and I've really enjoyed it. I'm really happy with how well Super Smash Bros has transfered to a handheld, and how well it plays without a GameCube pad. Top stuff, day one purchase. |

| Welp, I've been fully spoiled. No more objections from me about spoilers, unless others have stayed unaware. - And the unlockable characters list is...:
A load of clone-filled shit.

| Mega Man and Villager seem much better than I expected, Villager could have gone either way with them seeming a bit gimmicky but it's a very good character that could be devastating in the right hands and Mega Man has a lot of nifty ranged attacks.
Impressed with how well this runs on 3DS, feels just like you'd expect Smash to. |

| Apparently people are breaking their 3DS's circle pad while playing the game. Which I can kinda understand as I've been a bit rougher with mine and I'm only playing single player trying to unlock said clones. The only thing I've noticed when quitting the game my 3DS seems to restart its self like it's just done an update..
Oh and to me Megaman is shite |

| I probably passed opinion on the characters too early. A bit more playing (1-on-1 v. level 9 CPUs, just like the good old days ) has rearranged my thoughts a bit. I still think that MM's jolly powerful, but he's hard to use due to his lack of jab attack. And Pikachu plays a lot better against fewer foes. Forward Smash still nerfed though. Link seems to be the strongest of the five now... As for the restart thing, I imagine that SSB3D uses a massive amount of the console's power. Presumably it's the same reason that there's no Miiverse or browser support while Smash is on with the regular 3DS. |

He's been officially announced, unless you mean you've been avoiding any and all announcements? - An alternate costumes (and by extension characters) spoiler:
I had a gander at all the costumes for each character, and some of them are fantastic. Fierce Deity Link, Little Mac in a hoodie from the iconic bike scene, Pikachu with the X/Y male protagonist's cap and glasses, Nurse Joy Jigglypuff, Dalmatian Duck Hunt Dog and Ness with a Mr. Saturn T-Shirt are my favourites. The Koopalings and the fact that Lucina's alts are based off the FE: Awakening girls is superb. Here's an album link with all the palette swaps - https://imgur.com/a/10RXF

| Yeah a bit especially looking at the interesting imports the New 3DS comes out same day as Monster Hunter 4 which has a really cool special edition coming. |

| Question for Shanks: does the random character option seem to work?
Question for everybody else: does the random character option seem not to work? I'll get the same character in a row more often than not. |

| Yeah it's been alright for me. I've had a few triple ups but for the most part it seems balanced |

| Surely on a demo with only 5 characters your likely to get the same character. |

| Like I said I've had the same person appear 3 times in a row and then I won't see that character for a while |

| Surely the mighty Mathsofdas can work out that you should only get the same character as the last battle in every fifth battle? And in Shanks' case, a triple should only happen every (number of characters)^2 times? It's happening to me much more often than that - dunno about Shanks. - Danger - sales figures within:
Also, this hasn't done too badly in Japan. Reports of Nintendo's demise etc. etc.

| Sorry Jay - got mine off Andy. - masofdas wrote:

As it should be. But the point is that if you were rolling a dice, P (roll a four | roll a four last time) = P (roll a four) = 1/6. On the other hand, P (choose Mega Man | chose Mega Man last time) > 1/5 = P (choose Mega Man); where the ">" is based on personal experience. This has been a Balladeer lesson in Bayesian statistics. Wake up there at the front! (hurls chalk with surprising accuracy) |

| It's only happened once. The few games I played last night I had all random people no double ups or anything so I guess it's a bit hit and miss |
