I think they stock them in Scotmid and Sainsbury's - don't think you'll get them in England though.

My oven has been broken for about six months so I can't do shop bought pizzas. Been enjoying Dominos more than I used to but I still prefer almost everywhere else.

I tried a papa John but it was a service station so probably not a true reflection. Wasn't great, wasn't awful.

I don't have a Sainsbury's that close to me and I'm not sure about Scotmid

That haggis pizza sounds pretty good; haggis sounds like a superior swap for minced beef etc.
I even like the traditional packaging that they... HEY WAIT A MINUTE! THAT'S NOT A REAL WOODEN BOX! 0/10

Edit: I don't like eating Papa John's on principle - my American relatives has said that his staff policy is hyper-Republican-evangelical. I wasn't going to write this sentence initially, as I felt I should at least hyperlink to what I'm talking about, to explain it better - but have failed to do so.

Not buying it.

Saturday saw a return to Domino's in Zero Castle. I had the Italian style - flatter base, basically - for my usual (half in half tuna delight and vegi volcano). The sauce was delicious.

What are the team's thoughts on restaurant pizzas? I tend to feel odd about eating pizzas with a knife and fork, although we went to a local Italian restaurant last Saturday and I had a fabulous fish one. Mmm-mmmm!

Whilst true pizza is takeaway pizza for me, I won't say no to a nice Italian pizza in a restaurant.

My favourite food in the world is pizza in a local restaurant, called Gigi's. That said, I never use a knife and fork even in public.

I'd only ever use a knife and fork to eat a pizza if I was in a restaurant. I nearly disowned a mate once when I saw him use cutlery to eat a Dominos pizza. Disgusting behaviour.

Not even then. Even when I had a calzone in Ask, I picked it up and attacked it like a pasty.

I don't know if you all heard, but I am The Master Cheese.

By staying up until 4am the night Halo 5 came out, I managed to win myself the helmet in the picture and 4 free pizzas. As I type this, I'm eating the last slice of the last pizza.

Seeing as I wasn't paying for them, with a couple of these pizzas I decided to try some of Dominos' weirder crust types.



Hot Dog Stuffed Crust with Mustard
Actually quite nice. Even with a cheese stuffed crust, the crust can end up flavourless and dull by the end, a chore to eat when the little dip runs out. A frankfurter and some mustard took care of that, and the crust was as delicious as the rest of the pizza.



Double Decadence
This one is actually kind of horrible. Between two layers of thin crust is a layer of some sort of incredibly mild cream sauce which makes every bite taste and feel like licking particularly rubbish soft cheese off a dry slice of bread. Avoid.

Got me one of Domino's limited edition Italiano range - the Roma, a spicy vegetarian affair.



They ran out of rocket leaves in the shop, though, so I never got the full experience. Also, pretty much confirmed that I am allergic to chilli peppers. Other than that, not bad!

Would you recommend it over just going to a nice little family-run Italian place, though? I feel like if I'm going to a big American chain, I want thick fluffly pizza.

It still feels very Dominos-esque still and all the extras such as the Rocket make it even better.

Heck no! The local one is called Roberto's, unstereotypically enough, and is amazing.
