Atlas are bad enough at localisations in the first place so wouldn't surprise me if only PS4

Yeah didn't think of that as well, could be bad for PS3 owners wanting this.

I'd be ridiculously disappointed if this didn't make its way to PS3 over here, and to be honest, I'd feel cheated considered it was advertised as a dual release. I'm not buying a PS4 right now, so if that's the case, then I'm not playing this any time soon.

It might come to both and hope it does, just a random thought of mine that a big series like dragon quest with square behind and they can't be bothered to bring here to PS3 due likely dismal sales.

Atlus have never been too fussed about that though - they released Persona 4 on the PS2 in 2008/9.

PS3 was backwards compatible though 4 isn't that might make a difference.

But PS2 backwards compatibility had been removed from new PS3s by 2008 - don't think that's a valid point, personally.

Hmm but then again wasn't a PS3 version, so PS2 was all we could of got but this has a PS4 version and that's now the current system, like I it's a random thought that has come from a few other Japanese games.

Yeah... fingers crossed it won't be the case (and I don't think it will), because I'll be bitterly disappointed if so.

I am really excited to play this game as I have given a lot of time in to Persona 4 Golden and Shin Megami Tensei IV, I simple love both equally. I would actually get the Playstation 4 for this and hopefully more games come out when Persona 5 has a release date on this console.

SEGA has done something right for once since about 2009, that's date Persona 5 which be between Oct & Dec for Japan & USA! USA! USA! but no word on EU but hey the PS3 & 4 is region free. So you guess what my first American import will be.

Man I've not had to import anything since the old days of Pokémon taking almost a year between US and EU releases, but after P4G became one of my favourite games ever, I'll definitely jump on a chance to play P5 sooner rather than later.

Is the PS3 genuinely region-free? I had no idea! I hope I don't need to import, but I will for this.

Reckon we'll see this at Sony's E3 conference, or is it too niche for the big stage?

Was at PSX and the series is bigger now and they need to appeal to everyone at E3 as COD, Destiny, Dark Souls 3, Battlefront for instance don't appeal to everyone.

Was confirmed to be this year in Atlus's financial report. We might find out at E3 this week but hopefully it gets released the same time in the EU as the yanks.

Nothing new but a nice reminder of who the REAL kings of the jrpg are, and it ain't those clowns at square enix.

Was there nothing new about this at E3 whatsoever? I'd have liked to have seen a release date at least. Still hyped though!

Been watching GT Time, and Atlus were bought up as SEGA wants to be like them. Which reminded me of the leaked trailer from Dancing All Night which is here.

In an interview with God is a Geek, John Hardin, Atlus USA's PR manager, insists that the game's arriving on Western shores in 2015. "The only thing I can confirm for Persona 5 is 2015," he told the publication.
Hardin also commented on a European launch, stating that "we are trying to get publishers locked in for our titles in EU and will announce things when they are locked in," adding: "We are very aware of what happens when we make premature announcements for Europe." But hey, at least it's coming, right?
If this does come to the USA this year / before the EU, this will be my first PS4 import.

Same here, albeit for PS3. Not missing out on this one.
