| Bosch, it's a gritty detective drama on amazon prime. It's immensely gripping stuff. Amazon prime TV is miles ahead of normal TV. On the top gear subject, I'm pleased Evans has gone. But there's still a lot of dead weight on the team, I'd get rid of Eddie Jordan because he's almost entirely useless, and I don't see the point in having the stig and sabine- Sabine could do stig's job, otherwise she just isn't being used enough considering her mad driving skills. That'd leave a good team of four which is plenty. |

| GO MURRAY!!Wimbledon mens final, this match is going to be a real corker! Raonic has been knocking on the door of big sucess for a while, but I can't help but feel he might be worn out from the last few matches compared to Murray who bulldozed his opponent in the semis. Murray's time to get that second Wimbledon lets go!!! HE DID IT!!!11!!!! Seriously though that was a well deserved victory, Murray played a fantastic slam capped off with a comprehensive and astounding performance. Brilliant match, Raonic shows a ton of promise long term as well, alas today he was up against Murray in top form, a man who if he wasn't in the same era as Djokovic would easily be the undisputed number 1 in his own right. As good as Raonic was, and he was ruddy good, there just isn't anything you can do when the world number 2 comes out and plays his best, he's number 2 in the world for a reason after all. Especially when the number 2 has thoroughly analysed your game and worked out a few very effective measures to shut down some of your best weapons, such as Raonic's normally lethal serve. Even then however Raonic had a few moments that, had they gone the other way, would have brought the match to a heated four setter, but Murray managed to close those down and get the ship back on course in exciting fashion. All up an excellent match to close out an excellent Wimbledon. |

| The boy done good! A fantastic day for Scottish sport. As for me, finished watching Locked Up, the Spanish language female prison drama, via All 4 last night. - Massive show-ruining spoiler for Locked Up:
We thought we were watching the Spanish Wentworth Prison - it turned out we were watching the Spanish Prison Break.
Very good stuff. |

| My wife has subjected me to the hell that is Love Island. I don't mind absolute bollocks like Geordie Shore, because it revels in its drunken sordidness. It's self-aware of how shit it is. But this Love Island encourages young sexually starved fitties to have sex with each other, in the name of "love". It's like Blind Date if Cilla Black was a closet hardcore porn fan. Anyway, it's finished now. Apparently it's popular with "da wimmin".

| Danganronpa 3 has proven it has every one of the balls the games had in its latest episode. Game of Thrones eat your heart out! - Super Ultra episode 2 spoilers:
Asahina died. Not going to lie I totally expected one of the original Danganronpa crew to bite it in the series at some point, but the second episode in!? At this point literally anybody can die, I'm genuinely afraid for the main trio of the first game now! Why is it some of the best entertainment are the series that specialise in ripping the viewers heart out and serving it to them on a platter? |

AHAHAHAAHAHAHAAHA I've been making some great calls about this series. First death, third death, the big twist at the end of episode four. Is it getting too predictable? I wish Smithy Candychops and She-Hulk would actually do something though, so far they're collectively the most boring part of the series, and that's with She-Hulk having plenty of potential to be my favourite character. This probably ought to go in the anime thread so that we don't give Cappa an an(im)eurysm. I am enjoying it though. Especially Tengan's thing and adult Hagakure. |

| Has anyone been watching the Olympics? I've seen tiny slices here and there, including the lad who was born in the county I live in who smashed the swimming (Adam Peaty is his name). |

| I would be (I bloody love the Olympics me) but I decided to not stay up to the wee hours and watch the repeat of the (what is in Brazil) "evening sesh" in the morning. However, I'm with my folks at the moment, and my mum works in Tesco part-time weekend nights, so in fact the highlights is being "taped" so we can catch up at about 2-ish. By which time the next day's started. DILEMMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I quite enjoy the mario and sonic games though... |

| Only the swimming on mute, naturally so far Australia is taking the pool by storm. Which of course sets the utterly dire commentary in to overdrive. I cannot overstate how trite and self-gratifying the commentary of sports is in this country, and it's usually coupled with the fact very few of the commentators actually know what they're talking about.
Seeing our boy and girls bring home the Gold was great fun though. |

| You should hear English commentators in the football, bending over backwards to give England an excuse for losing. |

| Whereas cricket commentators are more likely to remark on the number of pigeons on the pitch. |

| My favourite commentary of recent vintage was two men discussing getting the rubber grip onto the top of the bat. The end of the exchange went like this:
"It's not easy putting a rubber on, is it Michael?" "[stifled giggles]" "You know what I meant."

| Did anyone see the women's road race in the Olympics yesterday? Race leader Annemiek van Vleuten had a horrifying crash on the descent into Rio. I'm not going to link to a clip of it because it was that bad. However, I've just seen a tweet from her saying she's going to be OK. Waiting for that news to come from the BBC coverage of the race was tense as anything. In other news, Jo stayed up to watch Adam Peaty smash it out of the (water) park. Well done, sir! |

Yeah I read about that and avoided the clip, particularly after seeing that fella break his leg coming off of the vault. Reminded me of this from The Simpsons: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqTXXK34D84 |

That's one of my favourite bit about big-o-sporting events: Andy Jameson and Adrian Moorhouse giggling at each other's naff jokes! I saw... I think it was Drunka... talking about people over-using the "you had one job" meme when clearly this isn't technically true. But Louis Smith really did have one job...Now watching: the horseys. |

| Paralympics are on now. This is awesome. You don't get pissed off because a British person didn't win a gold medal, because everyone who wins one deserves it. And there's loads of inspiring stories out there. |
