Yoshi's Crafted World lit up our Switches... well last month, but we hadn't got around to it then.  But now we have!  It looks great but sounds dreadful.  What's the worst soundtrack in gaming that you can remember?

Digimon World has kick-ass battle themes one second and then the sound of a dusty canyon the next. Some more area music would have been nice...

Nintendo took their first steps into Virtual Reality this month.  Therefore we ask the obvious question: which Nintendo franchise could really do with a VR upgrade?

I mean, the right answer is Metroid Prime, surely? Samus's visor is a perfect match for VR.

Mortal Kombat 11 brutally tore its way into hard drives across the world last month, but if you were forced into Kombat with a fellow forumite, what would your fatality look like?

I'd pull out a classic cowboy's revolver, laughing about how easily I was going to beat you before shooting myself in the foot and bleeding out on the ground. You didn't say that my foe had to die in the fatality!

Avengers: Endgame blasted into cinemas at the tail end of last month but don't worry, we're not going to promote spoilers! Well, not for Endgame at least - tell us about a time you had something spoiled for you.

Star Wars Episode VII. It was on Twitch of all places. It wasn't even a Star Wars related stream! People are nobs.

Before YCW I'd probably have gone with Hyrule Warriors.  It had some gems, but also a lot of ruining Zelda themes by bombarding them with overdriven guitar.  Then Yoshi came and blew it out of the water.  Or, er, into the water I suppose?  It's much worse is what I'm saying.

Aerial mech combat is a natural, surely?  Even better if they're going at each other with rusty swords and stuff.

I open my mouth and sing louder and louder until people's heads explode.  The rest of my game is based around running away and being a chuffing coward, but I probably trip over my own feet instead.

May saw a few... questionable ports make their way to Switch, chiefly Saints Row the Third and Assassin's Creed III Remastered which showed that not all ports are created equal. What's the worst port or version of a game that you've played and what was wrong with it?

Dark Souls was a bit of a mess on PC before I blasted it with mods to improve it. Wonky framerates, frequent crashes and the spectre that was Games for Windows Live haunting it. Brrr.

Lapis x Labyrinth stacked up four characters to explore loot-filled dungeons in May, and was well received in doing so. If you could pick any three people to help you explore loot-filled dungeons, who would they be?

Hmm. I'd pick Link as he'd no doubt have a bag full of various items to help us traverse the dungeon. Bear Grylls would be next as I don't know how long we'll be down there and we might need some survival tips. I'd take Albus Dumbledore too as I'm sure he'd be helpful in magicking a bag to be bottomless and weightless to allow us to carry all the lot and to allow us to easily leave the dungeon should we need to.

Cricket 19 - The Official Game of the Ashes came out in May, so of course Balla's doing a question about it. The titular Ashes is one of the great sporting rivalries, between England and Australia: describe a rivalry, sporting or otherwise, that you really enjoy following.

It's a Japanese wrestling rivalry, so nearly all of you can skip to my next answer. But Kazuchika Okada vs Hiroshi Tanahashi is the best rivalry in all of pro wrestling. The way the power dynamics have shifted over the years from Okada being a plucky upstart, shocking the world and Tanahashi in their first encounter to Tanahashi proving he's the ace and challenging Okada to climb to the top of the mountain and then Okada doing exactly that and usurping Tanahashi at the top. And now they're bringing it back round with Tanahashi showing he's still got gas left in the tank. And their matches are always outstanding.

Observation launched on PS4 during a pretty sparse month. You play a computer system monitoring a space station, helping out a crew member over the events of the game. If you were monitoring and controlling a space station, what shenanigans would you get up to in order to... "assist" the crew?

I'd flush the toilet when they were perched on the loo. They'd go mad in hours.

Detective Pikachu thundered into cinema screens last month in which Ryan Reynolds voice the titular sleuth. We want the scoop here at GNamer - who's voicing the main character in the next Pokémon movie and which Pokémon are they lending their vocal talents to?

The EU elections took place this month, and the strong showing for anti-Brexit parties was a rare bright spot in recent British politics. What would your political party be called, and what would be its flagship policy?

It'd be the Chocolate Party. We'd have literally zero policies, but the people would know we were all about chocolate and would of course flock to us en masse despite having zero policies and numerous members of the Chocolate Party being unscrupulous bastards. I bet we'd do really well. Like, a little over 30% of the country would vote for us.

The Sexy Brutale was terrible on Switch.  I'm not usually one to complain about frame rates, but this thing stuttered like a bastard and had monstrous loading pauses to boot.  I think the company responsible has a bad record in general: from what I read the same happened to Rime.

- Tiz Arior, the Bravely Default hero: he's had experience with this sort of thing, (crucially) he can alter monster frequency, his optimism would keep our spirits up, and he's a genial enough chap that he wouldn't nick the loot behind our backs;
- Fi.  Yes she'd be piss-annoying, but her dowsing function would be handy when it came to finding loot, and she's a ruddy powerful sword.  Also, again, as a sword she wouldn't be interesting in swindling me out of loot;
- The Lady.  Soppy I'm sure, but she'd keep my spirits up, and she'd encourage me to be the best person of myself.  I might actually be a brave adventurer instead of a quivering wreck.

England vs. Scotland is funny in any sport.  In cricket I'm cheering for the underdog and will be delighted if Scotland win, ambivalent if England win.  In any other sport I don't care about the result, and somebody else is going to get pissed off - probably on this very forum.

Playing Thus Spake Zarathustra every morning at 6am (relatively speaking) to wake them up, telling them 'I'm sorry [x], I'm afraid I can't do that' before granting any request, pretending that the space station's malfunctioning... the classics.
