| I started the game a few days ago, I've only done the 1st two missions of the first mansion. So how does rating system work because i've done both of those missions and got two stars (so not great) but next two the missions name theres two spots o. one showing my two stars the other showing nothing. What I played seemed good, how many missions is there two a mansuion. If there is a free space or you need someone to make up the numbers fro multiplayer let me no. |

| You find out what the second spot is after the fourth mission (and simultaneously unlock multiplayer, so get that done by the weekend if you want to play!). It's nothing to do with your ranking (which I still maintain is testicles). Also it's 6 missions per mansion, plus an optional one.
WOO 1000 POSTS I spend too much time here. |

| How many mansions is there, so you think there is anything speacial unlocked then if you 3 star each level or do all these 1st spots or the optional missions. Yes a 1000 posts is a lot, wahts's the point of are points though. |

| This game keeps getting better! Only Nintendo could make a dead dog marketable... Even if The Nightmare Before Christmas did it first. |

| I'm on the third mansion. I could have gone further by now but I keep re-doing missions either to get a higher rating (which might be pointless as we've discussed) or to find the gems I missed. Up for multiplayer on Sunday! And the dog is adorable! I think the most disturbing thing so far, even more so than the spiders is the way one defeats the Boo when it's on its last legs. So mean Luigi! |

| Strap her in the chair, turn on that machine that sucks all the screams out, and... oh, that Boo. ...nah, you have to figure it out for yourself. The puzzles are the most fun parts of the game! And you'll need your puzzle skills in gear for the end-of-world boss. Of course, there's always Gamefaqs if you're really stuck. Like I am on rather too many gems. EDIT: And now I'm stuck on a puzzle. It's so ironic! |

| The second mansion's boss is pretty out there, isn't it? After the first boss, I certainly wasn't expecting it. Fun to beat, though. - Spoiler:
Though I did expect Luigi to get dragged into that treehouse by something sinister as he was distracted by that sticky bud stuck to his shoe.

This. You'd think developers would realise that they can't have gyro controls on 3DS games, the visuals are going to go screwy. For anybody who has got to the graveyard in the second mansion - Spoiler:
HOW CUTE IS THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LUIGI AND THE TOAD HE HELPS?!?! The way Luigi opens the door for him and says "dis way" is so sweet.

| In response to Dusty's spoiler: - Spoiler:
You'll get really fed up with the next one you meet. The graveyard one is adorable though, I'll give you that.
But the graveyard miniboss... Brr. I don't know if it's fattist, but that pink ghost "mama" gives me the creeps more than anything else in this game.
You may have noticed that I've changed the title. If you can make it, come along - it'll be nice if we can get two rooms started. I'd rather start a room myself, so that nupkin can join (I'm the only person on her friend list!): look out for me! |

| Okay guys, so Balla and I just had a go on the multiplayer. You run around a house, you require keys to unlock some of the rooms etc, however in this version you need to clear the floor you are on before you can progress to the next floor. Five floors is probably the optimum, depending on how much time you have to kill!
There are 3 modes where you compete against each other (but at the same time you need to work together, there is no "i" in team!) to get the most ghosts captured / treasure.
Hunter: You run around from room to room catching ghosts - pretty straightforward and probably the best multiplayer mode.
Rush: You have a limited time to find a hatch. You can extend your time by finding clocks, whether in furniture, paintings or captured ghosts. You will need to work together for this one as sometimes you can get stuck, whether in a rug or with a vase over your head, and you will need your teammates to release you. You also need all players to release the hatch once you find it.
Polterpup: You try to find the pups (d'aaaaaaaaaaaw doggle doggle doggle DOGGLE!!!) using the darklight to track their footprints. Whoever has the "X-ray specs" (see below) will have the advantage here.
There are red coin challenges at the end of each floor, and if all coins are collected one of the players (chosen at random) will get a bonus item. They can range from increasing the power of your vacuum, or having an attachment which will give you health points each time you defeat a ghost, or the "X-ray specs" which allow you to see invisible items which you would otherwise use the Darklight for.
Overall pretty good fun - looking forward to seeing whoever is interested online at 6pm! |

The yellow Toad in mansion three? He wasn't too bad. I love the chat between Luigi and the Toads too much to be fed up with them.

| nupkin, you can feel better now! Sorry if I appear that I'm thread-hogging, but it's such a good game and I just want to sing the praises of every new bit I play from the rooftops. There are some significant exceptions, which I want to swear about from the rooftops instead: the gyro sections for one, and then there's the last gem of the fourth mansion, which is right at the end of a mission and is in a bonus game that is hard. Anyway, I've beaten the fourth boss, and flipping heck what did I just play? It doesn't feel like Luigi's Mansion, but it certainly was fun! |

| This is actually quite fun, isn't it? I bought it back on day one, but I've just got over a nasty bout on tonsilitis and been able to start properly. I just unlocked the multiplayer, so next time anyone's playing, I'll be up for a bout. |

| Is it me, or is the third mansion not as fun as the second one? I don't find the mansion as interesting. I died fighting the ghost in possession of the minute hand of the clock. |

| No, you're not alone. I think the 2nd is the best so far, followed by the 1st. |

| Is the fourth mansion better than the third? At this rate (one level per day), I'll hit the fourth mansion on Friday.
The second mansion just seemed to have more life. The third one (so far) has mostly revolved around exploring dusty attics and not encountering much in the way of weird and wonderful (one notable exception aside). Small gripe, though; the puzzles are still well thought-out. |

| That's a vegetation-based mansion for you. The fourth is probably better than the third, though. Better paced if nothing else. But I'm still bitter about the windy balancing section. |

| I haven't hit that yet... and just as I'd got the knack of the regular balancing bits.
I also need to take some time out and attempt better runs at each stage. I've merely been progressing up to now, and plenty of the stages I've only obtained one star ratings on. |
