| I don't think you can ever have a go at Andy (who likely put Super Mario Maker as the worst crazy man) again about Infinite Space, Balla after those words.

| What are you talking about Mas? I totally forgot about Trine 2, possibly because I did try it again in multiplayer when it came to PS4 and it was almost passable. The almost funw as ruined when my friends save wiped though, so there we go. |

| So shocked to see votes for Super Mario maker, Rayman Legends & even wonderful 101, now it's fair enough if you didn't enjoy these games but the most rubbish games on wii U? I'm calling bullshit on that one. |

| TW101 is a bit of a mess though, whilst something like Bayonetta is tough, it's still playable if you're not so hot. TW101 has so many problems with the difficulty, accessibility of the combat system and the insane level lengths that feel like a slog. It could be a good game, but I'd never be able to recommend it and I don't look too fondly on it.
As for Mario Maker, it's just naff. The unlock system is poor and most of the modes are practically useless or you end up playing hordes of glitch/music/silly hard to the point of not being fun levels. |

| And that, Mas, is why I'll still feel able to criticise Andy's take on Infinite Space. Which I'll maintain is better than Infinitely Long Levels.
I don't entirely disagree with his SMM appraisal either, although the game is still very far from the grisly depths of Game & Wario, say. RLegends is a different kettle of fish, that game's great. |

| I agree with Jas, that this is Bullshit. As yeah you may not like but there not rubbish like fast & furious, sport champions, game party, family arcade, frenchy bird etc there rubbish games.
I know you could argue that you may have only played 20 games on the Wii U and something like W101 is the worst you've played but still makes the Wii U look like shite that some Top games are also rubbish. |

| We're not making a definitive list of a generic presences best/worst list. I voted for Mario Maker as the worst game I have played on the Wii U because it is. That's probably due to the games I have chosen to play, but I had a negative time and voted it down accordingly. I'm not gonna tell the person who voted Rayman down off because it's their opinion |

| That's the problem with voting for worst games on a current machine. Nobody will have bought much crap on the cheap, so rather than the actual worst game (Frenchy Bird) winning, its just perfectly good games that aren't the voter's cup of tea. |

| I understand why these games are here the award even says worst game you've played but having some great games in Bottom 5 and some others in dishonourable mentions that IMO shouldn't.
But we will move on to more positive things. |

I only ever had issue with the combat as it didn't really teach you well enough about how it works, in fact I didn't click with the combat until watching a video that went into detail about it. Still wouldn't say it was rubbish though. - andyman949 wrote:

I think this one was always going to be hard for you to like though since you aren't a fan of games that rely on user generated content, I'm not a fan of those music/don't move levels either but if I see those I just don't play them which allows me to get the all the great stuff that folk have created. I personally didn't have a problem with the unlock system either but then I actually wanted to try my hand at making proper levels. |

| I actually enjoyed Trine 2 a reasonable amount. A reasonable slightly-below-average game; I've certainly played worse on the eShop. DIGRESSION ALERT: Just remembered that there's at least one game that I should have given an eShop honourable mention to, at least, and I didn't. Bums. |

| In short, we have the same problem as Metacritic. We haven't all played the actual worst games on the system. This is really the "most disappointing games".
Guys... it doesn't matter. |

| Trine 2 was all right from what I played of it on 360. No criticisms of it from me.
I'm actually agreeing with andyman on the aspects of The Wonderful 101 that he critised - the difficulty spikes, accessibility and level length just about wrecked it. The controls were maddening too; there's no way it would have played as obtusely as that on any other console. The rest of it is grand though, and went a long way in concealing it's flaws. I'll have to return to it one day, as I felt that I abandoned it a bit too quickly after Rayman Legends came out a short while later.
Andyman should be flushed down a big, giant toilet for the way he's talking about Super Mario Maker though. Scandalous behaviour.
EDIT: I think my list was a fair reflection on rubbish games. I just checked it there - Chasing Aurora being the 'best' with a (far too generous) Metacritic of 64, and the four others having an average score of 50 or less. |

| The Awesomedude Award for Best Character in a Wii U Game- In Fourth Place:
Ganondorf (WW edition) (5 points, 1 first)"Ganondorf with a personality? What madness is this!? Good madness, it turns out."
- Joint Fourth Place:
Lemmy Koopa (5 points, 1 first)
- Yet Another Fourth Place:
Toon Link (5 points, 1 first)
- Third Place:
Plague Knight (10 points, 2 firsts)"Charmingly evil. " "Is it a flaw of the game that I feel more for Plague Knight's situation than I did Shovel Knight's in the original? No."
- Second Place:
Frank Honey (11 points, 2 firsts)"Chase McCain is well-written, but it’s his doofus sidekick that gets all the best lines. I won’t spoil it, but if you’ve not heard the “horse-riding” section, you’re in for a treat." "In a pretty damn funny game, Frank Honey manages to take the cake as the most hilarious character of all. He is so inept that I thought he was an undercover (LOL) bad guy at first."
- First Place:
Bayonetta (18 points, 3 firsts)"From her sarcasm and her cheeky winks, to her mothering and heroism, Bayonetta is one of my favourite characters in anything, ever. Beautiful and powerful, she's a lesson to the world in how a male developer should make a sexy female character. Where Kojima creepily creates a woman he'd like to shag, Kamiya makes a heroine he'd like to be." "She’s pretty cool" "The lady from Bayonne (NB not really) has enough sass to wipe the floor with a convention full of Disney kids live TV characters (don't know why I thought of that). Also, big up for heroines who wear glasses."
- Failed to Place:
Four Points: Brittany - "Alph and Charlie are nice and all, but Brittany’s the real star. Female characters in videogames are getting better, but they have tended to go from shallow princesses to “perfect but troubled”. Brittany’s a more light-hearted approach: definitely a goodperson, and important to the mission, but, as you see from her reports, she’s a little bit sneaky when it comes to what she shares with the others. Definitely the best leader of ‘Min there’s ever been." Croaker (Shovel Knight) - "The puns, man! THE PUNS!" [Why do I not know this character better!?] Inklings - "Mainly the female one as she looks much cooler" Princess Peach - "Singlehandedly ruling a country, stoic in the face of constant attack and kidnap, floaty of jump and lovely of hair... what a lass." Poochy – "AWWWW HE’S SOOOOOOOO CYOOOOOOOOTE. Ahem. Useful, adorable doggy. Doesn’t really need any additional characterisation." Rock Pikmin - "I love it when they run into the crystal, makes me laugh" Shulk - "Ah, gotta love Smash allowing me to pick my top three Nintendo characters. Fortunately only Shulk is really a cheat, with Chibi Link appearing in Wind Waker and Mewtwo appearing in the upcoming Pokken." [Difficult for me to attribute Athrun's comment to any one character. Here's where I think it works best.] Vice President (Citizens Of Earth) - "Truly funny at almost every turn for his ineptitude, the VP's star quality nevertheless shines through for anyone with enough grit in their teeth to battle it out with the game's bugs."
Three Points: Cat Peach - "Like Peach but in a cat onesie. Cute." Cilia (Knytt Underground) - "In Ocarina of Time, Link only had one Navi; Mi has two. Dora is ever the optimist, but it’s Cilia’s grumpy sweariness that steals the show. At some points she reminds me of a YouTube comments section. Navi never dropped the C-bomb. But Cilia (like Dora) is much more complex than the “good cop / bad cop” trope." Mewtwo Monita – "I quite liked Nintendo Land’s emotionless assistant. Just the right level of creepy." Pink Pikmin - "Flying Pikmin! Brilliant!" Rodin - "I'd actually like to see a game starring this guy." Wonder Red
Two Points: 5-Volt - "9-Volt’s mum is genuinely scary. And, like a lot of Nintendo Moms it seems, I think I fancy her." Batman - "Moody bastard." Captain Toad/Toadette – "It’s the adorable earnestness of them both. They might be petrified of their own shadows, and happy to show it, but that won’t stop them from taking on giant world-destroying birds to save each other." Pink Gold Peach - "Like Peach but freakinf METAL. Amazing." Shovel Knight Red Pikmin - "Classic"
One Point: Baby Peach - "Obviously, she's a baby, but like whiny John Connor in Terminator 2, she's worth protecting for the great leader she'll grow up to be." Blue Pikmin - "Doesn’t drown!" Death (Darksiders II) - "Action adventures are full of fetch-quests. It’s just how things are, and we haven’t worked out how to replace these with other content yet. Death, however, despite being primarily a killing machine, is asked to find 5 of this, or 10 of that. And, unlike other game heroes, we actually points out that, when the world needs to be saved, maybe he should just get the help he asked for." Link (Hyrule Warriors) - "Because of the scarf" Outset Island’s pig – "Because it’s a massive black pig that can kill you."
Honourable Mentions: John (Thomas was Alone) Pretty much any character in Lego City Undercover Toadette - "For being so d’aaaaaaw in Captain Toad Treasure Tacker."
- My Own Thoughts:
Whether you think this one or the last one is the worst vote we've got depends on whether you feel a solid top three is better than a slightly less spread vote. Think 26 is bad? 32 characters made this vote! And there were some... interesting choices there. (Red Pikmin? Really?)
But three characters did stand out (and one person voted for all three!). The Wii U may not be the home of story-driven games, but Lego City Undercover managed to do it well enough, with help from its bumbling sidekick. Plague Knight, meanwhile, made the most successful piece of Wii U DLC since NSLU. That .gif is hypnotic.
Bayonetta? Well she's still a tad sexualised for my tastes, but the first comment on her gets the STAR COMMENT award for presenting a very solid defence of the lady. Mr. Kamiya, you've done well. Please vote in Stage 2.

My highest on Meta is Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark with 38, actual rubbish games like you list Cappa but then it's own fault that we've bought and played these rubbish games where the other's haven't. |

| None of my contributions got any other votes, sniff. Of the ones I didn't vote for, Brittany, Croaker, and Cilia are ones I feel I want to get to know better. Also, I've put in some honourable mentions, slightly late. - Jimbob wrote:

| A well deserved win for Bae there. I absolutely love her, she's what makes her games so good.
I'd disagree that Nintendo are poor at characters. They might not have lots of dialogue, but the likes of Mario, Samus and Olimar are overflowing with charisma compared to the generic gruff men in a lot of games. |
